Volvo lover becomes an Acura believer! I never imagined that any other car would capture my Volvo heart, but my first Acura (a zippy and nifty bright red metallic TL) had me before the end I never imagined that any other car would capture my Volvo heart, but my first Acura (a zippy and nifty bright red metallic TL) had me before the end of our fifty-plus mile drive home from purchasing it at Motor World in Wilkes-barre. We just traded that one, after 98,000, miles for an ILX (2015) . Again, after the drive home we were happy to welcome this new member of our "family". Even tho' we chose to go with a four cylinder engine for the first time (I have a dangerously heavy foot and don't need the extra power), we found it to be delightfully full of pep. So, okay, we love the car. As for the dealership, those folks couldn't be nicer. From the internet contacts right through the financial arrangements they couldn't have been nicer. Most of our dealings were with Phil Verini, who is very personable and organized. He walked us through everything about our new car. Dash boards are beginning to look like airplane instrument panels, but Phil taught us well. And then he helped set up our Bluetooth! He asked many times if there was anything else he could do for us. Can't imagine a more pleasant experience! We will definitely, in the future, buy another Acura from MotorWorld, and we won't wait for 98,000 miles. We didn't trade earlier because I wanted another Moroccan red pearl and I didn't like the new "red". So now I have a beautiful metallic navy blue that is very elegant! Love it!! Nona Nancy More
This is my second acura that i bought at motorworld. I had to spent only 2 hours from the time I started the car buying process to the time when we settled on a deal. The price was right - -all I had to do is to call several other dealers in the area to confirm that your offer was comeptitive. As last time, I had no issue with purchasing the car and it took me less than one hour to complete the paperwork and drive the car away. Phil Verrini was excellent and had the car fully prepared by the time I have arrived. All the paerwork was also ready and waiting for me. Everyone needs more salesman like Phil. thanks again One comment I have that -- you should give an option to people to opt out from filling out the the account info -- as some people, like me, would feel that you are doing this to send junk mail to my email account. And for some people it would prevent them from submitting the review alltogether. If not for Phil -- I would have chosen not to send the review at all. Alex More
I bought a used Acura TSX 2009. I had my first bad experience. Once they get your deposit it's impossible to get answers to your questions. I live in Massachusetts and had planned a trip to Wilkes-Barre to go pick up the car so I needed the paperwork in order to register it here in Massachusetts and get the plates. Courtney McFarlane was the worst, it obviously and repeatedly ignored my emails for several days. I had to email everybody in the dealership in order to have my the title mailed to me, which happened the day before I left for my trip! He came back with lame excuses, he obviously didn't care and his attitude was very frustrating. I even had to threat him to report to his boss about his attitude. I'm usually a very easy going customer but he definitely took advantage of me here. Aaron Fenyus was more understanding but didn't get back to all my emails either. That said he was helpful and courteous when I met him. He was the only person I met there. Tiffany Zawadski was very helpful as well and got the title in the mail (overnight) very shortly we called her. In addition the windshield side garnishes got loose on my way back home. I found out that this was a recall and hadn't be done on this car, so I have to go to a local Acura dealership to have this job done. If I find another good deal I will go back to this dealership but I'll make sure to not deal with Mr McFarlane ever again. He is not professional and doesn't respect you. More
Our salesman, George Kocher was very knowledgeable about our Acura. He was also very accomodating as far as spending time with my wife and I. Motorworld went as far as getting the vehicle that we wanted in the color we wanted from another dealership. Car buying usually turns out to be a headache. But this time it was an enjoyable experience. I hope we don't encounter any problems with our new vehicle. Thank you! More
