When I first came to Shelor... Pam Martin greeted me with eagerness to help me. Our Salesman, Rick Harrison, was very helpful, patient and never hesitated to show us as many vehicles as we wanted to see and drive. We were made comfortable, and offered water many times. The other sales people around were very friendly and attentive also. It was great experience and I would not hesitate to shop with Shelor again. It will be my dealer of choice. I had previously posted a very detailed, positive review of Motor Mile Ford when I took delivery of my 2013 Explorer Ltd in early March. I noted then that there was a minor problem with my order where I wa of Motor Mile Ford when I took delivery of my 2013 Explorer Ltd in early March. I noted then that there was a minor problem with my order where I was not given any advance notice of my delivery date so that I could prep my trade-in. Rather, the first call I received was that it was in and ready to go. At the time, I was advised that a new manager was coordinating deliveries but was not trained on how to monitor that task. I was assured it had been corrected. On the same day I ordered my Explorer, I also placed an order for a 2013 Fusion Hybrid (27 Nov 2012). When I took delivery of the Explorer in early March, I had to ask about a status on the Hybrid. My salesman advised that my build date was 25 Mar 2013 and delivery would occur on/about 1 April. Clearly my previous advice was not heeded because another two months went by with no notification whatsoever. Out of concern that my Fusion was two months late, I stopped by Shelor to inquire on 28 May. Upon my arrival, my salesman rather sheepishly advised me that he sent me an e-mail 10 minutes ago to inform me that there was a problem with my Fusion order. My car was indeed on the lot and had been there nearly two months. However, instead of the color ginger ale that I ordered, it was received with black exterior paint. The salesman insisted they had no idea how that happened. In fact, they inferred that the factory did not notify them of the color change. I later learned from a Ford employee moderating the Blue Oval Forum online that there’s no way the factory arbitrarily selected another color without input from the dealership. Realizing my car was placed on the lot for general sale for the last two months, I halfway tongue-in-cheek asked how many times the staff took it to lunch or had been released for test drives. Sure enough, there was 37 miles on the odometer. Rather than make me an offer to “make it right”, they simply said I could have my money back if I didn’t want to accept it with the wrong color. I had already waited six full months for delivery and ordering another vehicle was not possible since 2013s were cutoff in April (factory gearing up for 2014s). My only alternative was to take my deposit back and start completely over with another dealership. After waiting patiently for so long, the idea of starting over was not appealing. I accepted delivery after they agreed to my offer to provide a better trade-in value for my ’05 Camry. I would like to advise readers that 1) at no time did any manager or anyone other than my salesman approach me to apologize or accept responsibility and 2) at no time did they make an offer to make up for their terrible customer service. Rather, they were happy to leave it to me to take it or leave it. This cavalier attitude and lack of concern for customer satisfaction, in addition to the clear incompetence they exhibit, should make prospective customers think hard about ordering any vehicle from Motor Mile Ford. I had previously stated on my Explorer review that I would recommend this dealership. That has obviously changed and readers would be well advised to look elsewhere. On a similar note, I picked up my Fusion Hybrid from the service department after they had performed the “Pro Pack” service (clay bar the exterior). It was presented to me as ready to go, yet I had to point out that it had a 12” long (literally) streak of bird poo running down the passenger side door and another small spot on the left quarter panel. One would think that paying to have the exterior washed and polished would draw one’s eye to such defects. The service advisor (Eric Adams) cleaned it up but why did I as the customer have to point out the obvious defects? More

I just could not have imagined a "better" experience in buying a new car. It started with Kevin Mohr via email and on the phone. Paul is a real pro and Dwight was just as great as a leader, you should be proud of these men! The price we paid was very fair and the car is beautiful! We had shopped for months and been to other Ford dealerships, but this was by far the best overall experience. I would highly recommend Shelor Motor Mile.
