Alex worked a deal for me from start to finish, ensuring that I was aware of each step in order to pick up my vehicle in a timely manner. When I arrived to the dealership my car was ready and I only had to complete paperwork. It was truly a pleasure working with Alex and the team. More
This dealer will try to milk you for every penny they can. Our mini cooper countryman was in good running condition and we took it in for 100000 fluid change .oil, coolant etc.they said breaks needed to can. Our mini cooper countryman was in good running condition and we took it in for 100000 fluid change .oil, coolant etc.they said breaks needed to be changed so my wife said ok.then they call her back saying timing chain needs to be change and again my wife agreed. We are now almost 4000 dollars in.then they call my wife back saying we need new turbo and wanted 6000 more. We declined and just picked up the car. 20 minutes into the drive home the engine failure light turns on and parked it in the garage and coolant leaked all over the garage.we called them back and they picked it up.when they finally got a chance to look at it they said that the thermostat needed to be changed and needed another 1100 dollars.we declined to pay them any more money and just wanted our car back. The next morning the called us back and said our version of mini the thermostat is covered under warranty and they were fixing it. (This was a relief )we picked up the car and now the engine failure light turns on every time we would accelerate.( before their service we had never seen the engine failure light). So now I had to take the car to a local mechanic to read all the codes that were popping up and he noticed that the hose was missing on our turbo and all the coded were turbo related.so I drove it all the way back to their dealer and shared what I found with them.they did put the hose back on and now the codes are gone and the turbo is working again. This whole process took 4 weeks and they never made any offer of any kind as compensation for all their failures. If we did everything they recommended we would have been short another 7100 dollars at least at a total of 11000 and we only wanted an oil change. Motor city mini doesn’t care about customer service or their customers.they are only interested in maximizing their profits. This was my first and only visit to this terrible dealership. We are only left wondering did we really need a timing chain ? Did we really need brakes ? Who knows ? They got us for 4000 dollars but at least we didn’t let them take us for 11000 on a car that was driving perfectly when we brought it into them. SOOOO DISAPPOINTED More

I encountered the usual challenges associated with a used car purchase last week, going through the standard procedures of signing paperwork and handling financial matters at the dealership. However, upon returning home and reviewing the documents provided to me by the sales associate, I discovered two significant issues. Firstly, the folder I received contained only a Carfax report, completely omitting crucial documents such as the bill of sale and financial information. This oversight has left me in a frustrating and inconvenient situation, as these documents are essential for maintaining a proper record of the transaction. Secondly, the registration placed in the vehicle by the car associate had my husband's name on it, even though he was not present during the signing and has no involvement as a cosigner or co-owner of the vehicle. This mistake raises concerns about accuracy and attention to detail during a critical stage of the purchasing process. Despite making multiple phone calls and sending several emails, we have yet to receive any response or call back. This level of unresponsiveness is completely unacceptable. More
Our Ann Arbor dealer closed a few months after my husband bought his souped up Mini Countryman. It’s still on warranty but for almost a year now it has been in the garage with a dead battery. We called South bought his souped up Mini Countryman. It’s still on warranty but for almost a year now it has been in the garage with a dead battery. We called Southfield mini right away and they said they couldn’t get a new battery but would let us know when one came in. We know supplies are short but really. Don’t get a mini near Southfield if you intend to actually drive it. I’m convinced a battery has been available in the last 11 months. I’m tired of being the only driver in our house and so is my VW. My sales consultant, Matt, was extremely knowledgeable about the product and took the time needed to make sure the Clubman fit my needs. He actually insisted that I take the car for an extended test drive on a Saturday. This was my first MINI purchase...it won't be my last! More
