I purchased a 2005 Nissan Altima that came with the Platinum 6-month/6000 mile warranty. The dash had 2 cracks in it and when I pointed this out to our salesmen, he said, "how about I throw in a year Platinum 6-month/6000 mile warranty. The dash had 2 cracks in it and when I pointed this out to our salesmen, he said, "how about I throw in a year's worth of oil changes for free" well come to find out the Platinum Package already comes with that. So he didnt help me out at all with the cracks in the dash. Second, after about 2 weeks the battery died on the car and when I took it in to have it replaced they wanted me to pay for it. Well they actually ended up getting the battery for me but then tried to charge me for instalation. Luckily I have a friend that works at Motor City and he said he would install it for free. At the same time I was having the battery replaced I let the service rep know that the motor mount is completely ripped and the motor slams around when it shifts gears, the front shock is blown and also knocks/squeaks when I drive over bumps, and that the brakes are squealing. They told me we can't do anything about the brakes because that is a normal wear and tear item. So I changed the brakes myself. (No big deal, they were $20 at autozone.) And they also told me to schedule an appointment to get the motor mounts and shocks looked at. So I call to schedule the appointment and now they tell me that my motor mount and shocks are not covered under my warranty and I should have told them when I purchased the car. So now I'm screwed out of my money for a car with 2 cracks in the dash, blown motor mounts, and blown shocks. But hey its still under warranty. Worst car dealership I've ever dealt with. Never going to come back to this dealership or recommending it. More
DO NOT BUY FROM MOTOR CITY! My first purchase was a 2006 Chevy Malibu. That buy wasn't too bad but the first week I had it, the rotors warped. They gave me a rental car, fixed my car and that was pretty muc Chevy Malibu. That buy wasn't too bad but the first week I had it, the rotors warped. They gave me a rental car, fixed my car and that was pretty much it. In January of this year (2013), I traded my 06 Malibu and I made my second purchase, a 2009 Dodge Journey from Motor City (Dumb decision). It is now October 21st 2013 and I just dropped my car off at Motor City AGAIN. I first dropped it off Oct. 7th, for noise coming from the motor and something that sounded like an exhaust leak. They had my car for 9 days. Never, did they offer me a rental car, but today I found out I should have been given one at their cost last time and didn't. They had to take the car to dodge to get it fixed. Keep in mind, I bought this car with approximately 32,000 miles. It now has approximately 38,800 miles. Dodge had to replace rocker arms on both banks and the intake and exhaust valves. Now, I just dropped it back off at motor city after I had to go to dodge and show them the problem because apparently motor city is too incompetant to relay the problems I already had to dodge. This time I asked for a rental car and was told I could rent one but they won't know until tomorrow if they will cover it or not even though I was screwed out of it last time and it may come out of my pocket if it is a new issue. I decided not to rent a car just in case they would make it me pay for it. It's beginning to look like Motor City will have my car this month more than me. Will they make the payment this month? Don't think so. I have had this car for less than 1 year and do not want it anymore due to the MAJOR issues I am already having with it. I don't see an end to the problems I am having with this car so, I may have to contact an attorney to have Motor City make things right. I feel I may have a lemon on my hands. Once you have already made your purchase, to Motor City you are nothing but another successful sale and good customer relations end there. More
My husband and I were looking to reduce our monthly payment so I called several dealerships in town to see what stock they had and what incentives were available. Reuben Zamora at Motor City Buick/GMC payment so I called several dealerships in town to see what stock they had and what incentives were available. Reuben Zamora at Motor City Buick/GMC was the most forthright and honest person we spoke with. Even though other dealerships supposedly had us already approved over the phone, one had me come in to pick out which vehicle we wanted and to sign the paperwork. When I got there, the price was almost double what he told me over the phone for a bare bones, basic vehicle. I left and went to Motor City with my husband the next day where Ralph Rubio was more down to earth and genuinely friendly than any other salesperson I've ever worked with. He and Richard got us a payment on a much nicer car (Verano) than what we thought we'd have to settle for and at the same payment the other's had quoted us for far less in the way of vehicles. Both were very thorough and careful to make sure we understood all the ins and outs of our lease very well as it was our first lease. The experience was extremely pleasant and professional from beginning to end. I would highly recommend Motor City Buick/GMC to all my friends and family! More
We were in the market for a new vehicle since the birth of our second child. We returned to Rick because we had previously purchased a vehicle from him. I was just so pleased by the attention we were given of our second child. We returned to Rick because we had previously purchased a vehicle from him. I was just so pleased by the attention we were given! I wish all salesmen went over and beyond like he did. First we gave him a call and he answered ALL our questions. We then went in to get our vehicle appraised and he said he would help us explore all our options. What I admire is that he is in this business to help out the customer not just to make a sale. I respect that since I know he is not selling me a car just for a commission. He was honest about everything and truly had the best interest of my family and I. I loved that he was able to do that and send pictures to my husband, he was so accommodating since my husband and I work crazy hours and have two kids. This man is so amazing he even came in on his day off to sign papers with us, just because he knows that our schedules are so opposite. When we went in he was quick to cater to my little one with a snack and a water ( which she loved) and while we were signing papers he was setting up the DVD just so that when we left my kids would be all set! I have referred people to Rick and I will continue as long as he is employed there. More
I was in the market for a service truck and needed to trade my truck in. Rick was quick to help with getting an appraisal done on my truck and give me a price on a new one. I appreciate that he's always trade my truck in. Rick was quick to help with getting an appraisal done on my truck and give me a price on a new one. I appreciate that he's always answering when I call and he's available. He was able to help me with a truck and a reasonal price. He assisted me through the whole process and was a big help. I'm glad I came to him to him for my small business need and he was also helpful in the sale of my wife's car, which is my familys car. I appreciate that he puts the customers first and is truly there for our best interest. Rick has become our family salesman and I will continue to purchase from motor city gmc because of him. More

I've been to several dealers in my lifetime and I have never been treated with so much respect, kindness, and willingness to help. Gary was my first contact with Motor City and lets just say he sealed the deal. His non pushy approach and honesty was Exactly what I was looking for. Upon returning Gary was already involved with another customer, however; he made sure to introduce me to an equally kind and helpful gentleman named Ralph. Ralph answered what was left of my questions and concerns to my satisfaction. Let me also add that I did plenty of research before purchasing and Motor City had the BEST prices in town, the BEST offer for my trade in, and offered me the LOWEST of intrest rates. It's been less than a week and I've already started recommending Motor City and their Employees to my family and friends. More
worst GMC dealer in California forsure.. The servie dept is terrible.. Was charged for services not rendered, had to take truck to another dealer to have fixed correctly. I took truck in for repair on Turbo is terrible.. Was charged for services not rendered, had to take truck to another dealer to have fixed correctly. I took truck in for repair on Turbo. on 2008 GMC 2500. truck was never fixed and they billed me for a service they never fixed and even had the nerve to list out exactly what I took it in there for to be fixed in the first place.. When I got a call checking on the service I explained the story to the gal. I was assured I would get a return phone call from the service manager.. That never happened either..The service writer went on vacation and no one was calling his customers back. Terible company.. Sad thing is they used to have a service manager there that really was good. When he left so did there service.. I would never do biz with these guys if you want your vehicle fixed right the first time.. More
