At the dealership, he immediately found time to assist although I arrived there without prior notice. Even though I didn't intend to buy that very night, I was impressed with Alfredo's dedication to help , which led me to buying the car I want and leaving my old car at the lot to be picked up the following day. Overall, it's Alfredo's candid and honest interaction that I hope to find at every dealership. I will not hesitate to go there again to buy Honda autos. More

Still waiting for the spare key to my Accord I've been putting off writing this review in hopes that the sales department at Mossy Honda Lemon Grove would make things right. Unfortunately, that h I've been putting off writing this review in hopes that the sales department at Mossy Honda Lemon Grove would make things right. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened. I bought a used 2015 Accord from Mossy Honda on December 3rd, with some outstanding IOUs: the backseat headrests and spare key were missing, and there were two scratches on the car that needed repair. No big deal- I was promised that I could bring the car to the shop the following week for the repairs, and that they would have the headrests and spare key shortly. I scheduled the repairs for the car on 12/7, but when I brought my car in, they couldn't find any record of the IOU authorizing those repairs, nor were they able to give me a loaner as had been part of our IOU agreement. It was an annoyance, but I understood that things like this do happen. Fortunately, they found the paperwork later that day and rescheduled my appointment. The repairs were completed satisfactorily on 12/9. I'd hoped that my missing headrests and spare key would be located and returned to me by the time my car was out of the shop on 12/9, but that wasn't the case. I called my salesperson 4 times to check on the status of my missing headrests and spare key. On 12/24, I was able to pick up the headrests, but the spare key was still not available. I've called and emailed multiple times since then, asking for the spare key that I'm owed, with no resolution. Supposedly, the previous owner of the car still has the spare key. It's been nearly two months since I purchased my car from Mossy Honda Lemon Grove, and today I received this reply from my salesperson in regards to my still-missing spare key: "no luck with e-tra key,, sorry all I can do is waiy on customer.. he do plan to trade his van in next month, my used can not provide you with another key,,i can get you a key with my employee discount,, very sorry." I'm disappointed with the lack of follow-through and poor customer service from Mossy Honda, and do not recommend this dealership. UPDATE: After posting this review and filing a BBB complain, Erik, one of the sales managers, reached out to schedule a time for me to come in and have a spare key made. I went in today and now (finally) have my spare key. Thanks for making things right! More
Truly Exceptional Experience! I had a truly exceptional experience at Mossy Honda over the weekend. After making an inquiry on their website, I was contacted by the internet direc I had a truly exceptional experience at Mossy Honda over the weekend. After making an inquiry on their website, I was contacted by the internet director, Kevin Polzer, who invited me to come in for a test drive and assured me that he would make me the best deal. I quickly took a short drive to the dealer and was immediately impressed with this place. The lot and the showroom are spotless, and there is a lot of activity going on everywhere...there is just a good vibe at this place and I felt very comfortable. After meeting with Kevin, he introduced me to Alfredo Ortegon, who is also in the internet department. Alfredo had great energy and really made me feel comfortable. He listened to what I wanted and was very helpful in selecting the right vehicle and the right equipment. He was very knowledgeable about the Civic, and he seemed to know their inventory really well. After a test drive, and looking over the numbers with Kevin, I decided that I needed to drive at least one other car before committing to the Honda. Kevin and Alfredo were very professional, I did not feel overly pressured. They even introduced me to their General Manager, Adel, who was delightful and very professional and courteous. After a couple of hours I made my decision to go with the Civic, and I called Alfredo and Kevin to let them know I was on my way. When I arrived, Alfredo had the car waiting, and we set off another drive, which only confirmed that I was making a solid choice with the Civic. After mulling over colors, we made the deal and the rest of the process was prompt, and went very smoothly. My paperwork in the finance department was completed by Eddie Hernandez, who was also extremely professional, courteous, and just had more of that good vibe that runs through this place and everyone that works there. Eddie took the time to really explain everything that needed to be signed, and he also did a great job making sure that I was protecting my new vehicle the best that I could. This was absolutely a 5 star experience all-around, and I recommend that everyone check out Mossy Honda Lemon Grove for your next car...be sure to ask for Alfredo! More

Scammed on Interest when I bought a car here I have just purchased a Honda Pilot from Mossy Honda, and, although the car itself is great, I am very unhappy with how they tricked me with the finan I have just purchased a Honda Pilot from Mossy Honda, and, although the car itself is great, I am very unhappy with how they tricked me with the financing. I recommend that everyone check their credit ratings online before going in, as they definitely pulled a scam on me. The salesman said that they looked at my three credit scores, and picked out the highest one, and based the interest rate they charged on that score. But when I went to check them, upon driving home, I found that they had picked my lowest score in order to justifiy charging me more interest than they should have. I intend to tell everyone I can about this. They may have cheated me out of thousands of dollars in interest, but I hope that others will learn from my mistake. More

Twice now I diligently follow my service minder and call to question the appropriate time to bring in my car to service-- I am told yes, make an appointment, arrange my day to accommodate appointment and the end up being told politely to go home, nothing needs to be done quite yet on your car. During the signing of the paperwork, I realized that the interest rate that was promised was not the one that I was being given. When I explained to the gentleman what I was told by the manager, I was told that he wasn't there and that he didn't know what agreement we had made. I ended up signing anyways since my wife was excited about the car and had already told her family that we were buying a new car. The most recent bad experience that I had with them was last week. I took my car to get serviced (second time since I purchased it), oil change and car wash. When I got home, I realized a plastic piece was missing from the driver seat. I called them up and explained to them what had happened, they promised me a call back from the manager. Well, that never happened. Not once, nor twice but four different times. I went into the store yesterday, was told the same thing, that a manager would call me by the end of the day. I waited and waited and never received a call. So, I decided to go in today again, just to be told that they were not going to replace the plastic. The manager, Ana Garcia, appeared to have her mind determined and wasn't listening to what I was telling her. She argued that I have had the car for quite some time, and pretty much made it seem as if I lost the plastic piece. I explained to her that my car had only been serviced twice, both at the dealership, and that the only place that it could have gone missing was there. Once again, her reply "my workers are not going to get fired for a piece of plastic." Instead, of telling me she would look into it, she continued to tell me that her workers are not going to get fired for a piece of plastic. Once I asked her if cameras were available to view, she stated that she would have to go back and look at the time my car got serviced and date. I asked to speak to someone above her, she simply told me that he was not in the office and only gave me his name instead of giving me contact information for him. She then told me to let her look into the problem before contacting her manager and stated that "he" would call me on Friday. The plastic is not an expensive piece what so ever but when I take my car to get serviced I expect it to come back complete. In conclusion, customer satisfaction is not their priority contrary to what they tell you. All they care about is their sales and when a complaint is received, they will always be right. Look at a different dealership for your next purchase, one who actually cares about their customers and wants to do the right thing. More

Art Esquivel, my service advisor, was so helpful and nice that it made my experience a pleasant one. My husband is handicapped and we are a one car family. Art arranged for me to have a loner car until mine was fixed. My car was done in a day and when I picked it up it was nice and clean. Great service. I strongly recommend them! More
