Horrible treatment of loyal customer for prolonged period. I leased a new 2018 Civic from this location a few years ago. Made every payment via autopay, no issues. That is, until I extended my lease due to personal health issues that necessitated my having a car for longer. Honda halted my autopayments (yes, I should have been more diligent about making sure they were happening but I had confirmed multiple times with Honda reps I was OK) and did not tell me that my payments were delinquent. Next thing I know, I'm in LA for one night, walk outside my friends house the next morning and my car is gone. Turns out it'd been repossessed because Honda did not let me know about late payments. When I called Honda Financial, they told me they'd tried to reach out to me but, when I asked, it had been to 2 phone numbers on my account that were not mine. No idea where they came from and Honda 100% knew my number as they'd called to buy the car from me many times the months prior. Long(er) story short, it took nearly 2 months of a series of huge headaches, including hundreds of dollars in fees for tow yard, late fees, LA city form processing fees, etc to get the car out of impound. HUGE, HUGE HASSLE, including training back to SD and then back up to LA. Multiple calls every day to multiple Honda support teams to piece together what I needed to do to get the vehicle back. Each conversation would offer new, critical information on the process about 1/3 times I called. Still, ended up scrambling at the last leg because it was not made clear until very late that a cashier's check was required to send in to Honda which ended up being a pain with my current bank being based on the east coast. Came within 2 days of not meeting the needlessly set deadline (after requesting a 10 day extension) before they'd take the car and sell to auction. Only reason I did so was to pay the car off (~$12k including all the fees) so I could officially own it and sell it for more money. Shortly after I officially purchased the vehicle, Mossy Honda sent me a letter offering $22,370 to buy the car back. As much as I did not want to sell the people that had just put me through months long bureaucratic nightmare, that was a solid offer. Had the vehicle detailed a few days ago (for several hundred dollars), then car washed again today before I took it in for appraisal. The WONDERFUL (/s) Mossy Honda team took a couple minutes to look the car over, start it, etc. The only issue the appraiser (do not recall his name, unfortunately. Sales rep I worked with is named Dwayne but I have no reason to believe he has anything to do with this garbage experience) mentioned was that he "believed" that I had the front left panel (headlight housing) repainted. Informed him that I had not had any work done to the vehicle outside regular maintenance. Just under 4 years of eventless vehicle stewardship and had brought it back to the place I'd gotten it from, new, that had offered me $22.3k to buy it back. The appraiser (Paolo? something similar...) asked to see the $22.3k offer letter, showed it to him. He studied it for a long time, it felt like to see if it was a fake. When he was satisfied it was real, he told me that he was "sorry" and that the most he could offer was just over $16k. Told him that was nowhere near what they'd offered and was not worth it for me. He said "I understand" and just walked away. This organization is GARBAGE. I get that all of these giant corporations will never be empathetic but I paid way more money that I should have for a 3+yr lease where I didn't drive the car practically at all for 2yrs of COVID (28k miles at appraisal, excellent condition). Again, DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS. They WILL screw you at their earliest convenience. More
With vehicle supply shortages, looked everywhere for the car I wanted. Went to mossy Honda told them what I wanted and they had the car in two days. Negotiated a bit because of high “accessory” cost. They were willing to reduce this significantly to where I was comfortable. Finance was a breeze with no attempt to upswell. I have been a loyal customer for Mossy Honda for quite few years by purchasing and or leasing many cars from them. But the last two we purchased one for my son Matthew and for his friend, they Cheated my few years by purchasing and or leasing many cars from them. But the last two we purchased one for my son Matthew and for his friend, they Cheated my son by giving him a Scratched Car even though they knew about it before my son drove it home about 12 miles only. This is not fair to make him leave the lot with this car even though he stated many times that he need a new one. At the end they forced him to bring the car after 3-4 days so he will not be able to exchange with a new one. It has been over 3 weeks and they still fixing the big Scratch plus they gave him a car to drive and it didn’t work after 1 day.. My son called the Corporate office and they said they will take care of it. We are waiting to see now. More

The sales staff at this dealership are more than disrespectful. Unfortunately, they are encouraged by their management team. They are disingenuous and are totally uninterested in customer service.
