Used Car purchase nightmare I'm so happy that Mossy Ford has asked me to review my experience. I purchased a used truck from them less than two months ago, and here is how it we I'm so happy that Mossy Ford has asked me to review my experience. I purchased a used truck from them less than two months ago, and here is how it went down: After the initial test drive, I had noticed strange tire noise from the front end. Was given the hard sell and told they would fix anything that was wrong--so unless I wanted someone else to get this great deal, I would have to purchase and have faith it would be fixed. Luckily the problem was the tires, and Mossy offered to replace to match the rear tires. After 1-week, the tires were installed, and when I noticed the tires were not matched to rear, I was told too bad and that Sales would not remedy the situation. So I have noisy trail tires on the front and I'll just keep them until the rear need replacing. I would have given them 4 stars had this been the end of the transaction. Jump ahead 3 days after my 30 day 'warrantee' window when my check-engine light goes on. I take it in to their service department who graciously diagnosis a $750 sensor and pump issue. The diagnosis was promptly followed by the news that their Sales Dept. would not cover this because I was outside of their 30-day period. So, no their Sales 'team' wasn't wrong in denying service to a new customer, but what a bunch of @sses. Had they made good on this newer 'used' truck purchase repair, I was set to bring both of my vehicles to their service center for the foreseeable future as I work in close proximity to Mossy. You know who I do recommend for service and repairs that's right next door? Roberts. Check out their reviews. My quote for the repair Mossy wouldn't cover? $500 and a 6 month warrantee on the service. More
