This organization does not care about the customer. I made an appointment for 9 am, for a factory recall and oil change. They told me it would be 4 hours. I called a little after 1:15, and my service advisor stated my car wouldn't be ready until 4 or 5 pm. I received a call at 5:02 pm, they close at 6, telling me that my car had a stripped oil plug and that I might need a new oil pan. So because of that, they did not change the oil. Here's my problem. I had an appointment for 9am which was supposed to be for 4 hours, but that didn't happen. I was without a car all day because of their lack of time management and mechanical skills. When I spoke to Steven, Service Advisor, who by the way was very rude, unprofessional, and evidently had no clue what he was talking about, at 5:02pm, after they had the car all day, he stated that the oil drain plug LOOKS to be stripped and that if I was to change the oil, it might now start to leak. My response to him was, so whats the solution? He couldn't answer me, or he flat out didn't know. I informed him that if he knew this information, he should have called with a solution, not with just the problem. All he said, after being rude, was they didn't change the oil and I could come pick up my car and then hung up on me. So here is my thinking on the matter. I don't think they checked the oil at all, PERIOD! I believe it got too late in the day for them to change the oil and they decided to make up a story to make them feel less responsible. I informed Steven why did you have my car all day and right when you close is when you tell me a problem, but no solution. He stated to me that just because I have an appointment at 9, doesn't mean it will get looked at 9. It might not get seen until 1 or 2. So whats the use for making an appointment? This tells me another thing. This guy has poor time management skills. He shouldn't be in the position he is in. Lastly, when I finally did go pick up my car, they called me again just as i was pulling up at 5:49pm. Remember, they close at 6. Steven, my Service Advisor, was no where to be found, probably a good thing. However, when I went to get my car, they left trash in the floorboard, and greasy dirt on my steering wheel and sun visor. I complained to another Service Advisor about treating customers vehicles this way, but she acted like it was no big deal. I am sure they do not care. I served in the Army for 34 years. I held the highest rank an enlisted NCO could hold. I have 2 combat tours, several overseas deployments and know exactly what time management, integrity and leadership are. This organization does not have it. They have lost a customer in me because they don't know how to treat people. Truly sad you pay for a service and they could care less whether it gets done or not. I will be looking for another mechanic for my BMW. It might not be a new one, but it's still a clean BMW. To Mr. Aaron Anders, who is the Service Manager, my visit was completely unsatisfactory and I will not be back. You should really do some retraining for your staff or hire better people. Good day. Moss Motors BMW does NOT do luxury. Not even close. At Moss, you are surely not the boss. You'd be lucky if they even treat you like a valued customer. I love the BMW brand, but this de Not even close. At Moss, you are surely not the boss. You'd be lucky if they even treat you like a valued customer. I love the BMW brand, but this dealership just didn't meet quality, expectations, experience, and respect one would expect. Buying Experience: - I found an X6 I wanted online that was in stock. I live in Texas, but Lafayette is home for me. I messaged asking about my trade-in and inquired about the X6. Multiple people called and texted my phone instead of just streamlining through one person. - I was then told the X6 was no longer available, but was pushed towards an X3 because those were in stock, plus an X6 was "way different" than what my 320I car was... so what? I pushed back and said I only want an X6. They then came back the next day and said it was a mistake, that the X6 was still available. - I told them what day and time I would be driving from Texas to their dealership to get my car appraised and look at their new X6. - When I walked in the doors, two sales people and the sales manager looked at me but no one acknowledged me. After an awkward several minutes standing at the empty front desk, I went around asking for the salesperson I was supposed to meet. Guess he did not notice I was there because it was in his cubicle on his phone. - We started chatting about the X6, finance/purchase options, etc. - The sales manager came back with a quote for my used car that was $3k less than the book value. I asked for more. - I also asked to negotiate the sticker price for the X6, as it had way too many bells and whistles I did not need/nor want. They did NOT work with me whatsoever after some back and forth and me trying to negotiate in good faith. Kind of just left a bad taste in my mouth. (Come to find out, the SPV was over $30,000 different.) - After finally agreeing to their non-negotiable price and high interest rate, I was told the Genius (the one who shows you all the tech features/specs in the car) quit so my salesperson suggested I GOOGLE and look up videos on the car to learn about it... I was shocked. He also told me I could go to another dealership and ask for a genuis and they would show me around. I tried, yet they were not interested because they did not sell me the car so I am still learning the features, which are a lot, by myself. - I also asked them to take off the Moss Motors sticker on the back, but they wanted to charge me to do that. - I spent a total of SIX hours from the time I walked in to the time I left with my car. I still can't to this day wrap my head around it taking so long. The Fine Print: - Moss Motors was supposed to take care of registering my vehicle in Texas and transfering the title. Almost two months in, the Texas Tax Office called me and gave me two options. I either had to go to their office 45 minutes away, or they would reject the application and I'd owe late fees because the application that Moss Motors completed was incomplete. - I took off work and drove 45 minutes to the Tax Office (DMV equivalent in Texas) to try to correct whatever Moss Motors's mistake was. Come to find out, it was carelessly filled out. Things such as the Title/Registration Box, Dealership Name, Dealership City, Dealership State, Vehicle Weight were left BLANK and more were incorrect so I drove almost an hour and an hour back home for this careless mistake. Overall: I love my car but I hated the experience and would not recommend Moss Motors to anyone. They even tried to take pictures with me and my new car so I had them do it on my phone so I could control who had it. They then later asked me to send it to them so they could post on social media. So tacky. I declined. Find a dealership who will negotiate with you in good faith, care about you as a customer, and provide white glove service for the luxury product they are selling. More
