I am disappointed with a few things that occurred regarding a used vehicle purchase. My initial contact was with Aaron, via telephone, regarding a CPO, a 2018 X5, that was listed on the dealership regarding a used vehicle purchase. My initial contact was with Aaron, via telephone, regarding a CPO, a 2018 X5, that was listed on the dealership website. During our initial communication Aaron reported that he had been driving the vehicle while it was for sale, Knowing that, I asked that it be cleaned prior to my out of state arrival and I made it clear that if that car met all of my expectations I would be purchasing it. Upon arrival it was clear that the vehicle had not been cleaned, there was visible dog hair, dog smell, mud on the seats, toys in the consoles and what appeared to be mud caked into the front passenger floor mat and carpet. I assumed that a salesman utilizing a vehicle for sale would take better care of the interior and not present it to a customer in that manner but clearly my expectations were too high. I was assured prior to departure the vehicle would be detailed. There was a sub optimal attempt to clean the vehicle but after waiting over 3 hours for an issue with the windshield to be resolved I left with the car as it was presented to me. Once I returned home with the vehicle I removed the white paper floor mats and saw that the “mud” was still caked in the carpet and there had been no attempt to remove it; after closer inspection I realized that it was in fact not mud but animal feces. I have unsuccessfully made multiple attempts to remove the feces smell from the mat and carpet. I also became aware of a malfunction with the rear passenger seat belt when attempting to buckle my child for the first time. I’m confused as to how the vehicle passed CPO inspection with an issue with the seat belt, a clear safety concern. I am not comfortable having anyone ride in that seat until the seat belt is fixed. I reached out to the manager, Trey Burrow, via telephone to address my concerns and attempt to remedy the safety issue with the seat belt. I left a message on his voicemail and it has been 6 days and I have yet to receive a return call, but rather received a link to leave a review. I will acknowledge that the vehicle was a fair price and the saleswoman, Casey, that I worked with that day was helpful, polite, professional , patient and spent time answering questions that I had. More
