When I purchased my truck from Chilson, it needed some parts replaced. Well, parts of any kind are an issue these days. The folks at Chilson saw to it I was taken care of, even going so far as to get my v parts replaced. Well, parts of any kind are an issue these days. To be fair, Chilson's was a dealership that we relied on for our vehicles as being an exemplary organization with quality service at the forefront. Lately however, I can't state that. The previous visit for our vehicles as being an exemplary organization with quality service at the forefront. Lately however, I can't state that. The previous visit, my wife was chided by the service coordinator that the wrong drain plug was in the vehicle. I find that absolutely appalling in that the vehicle is only serviced by Chilson’s. To further compound my frustration, two oil change visits ago the service coordinator told me that the wrong plug was in the vehicle, and they were replacing it. Fascinating that they put the wrong plug in it two visits previously, and then on this visit stated it's the wrong plug. Even more confounding is that Chilson's does the oil changes since the vehicle was purchased. Additionally, I have had to replace wheel studs due to the fact that the wheels have been over torqued when the tires have been rotated and it's broken the studs. I've become quite adept at replacing them in the parking lot at work, in fact I keep three of them on hand at all times for just such an occasion. Our Jeep Grand Cherokee recently purchased from Chilson’s has had issues with the starter motor not disengaging. A very common problem when you search the web, yet the service manager has no knowledge of this problem. Rather hilarious in that he stated he’s not aware of the problem. (Odd as Service Managers are pretty knowledgeable of car issues) Furthermore, he stated any dealership in the country should be able to fix it if you're traveling. That indicates they (Chilson’s) are trying to push a warranty problem off onto another dealership and not take care of the customers where the vehicle was purchased from. Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover my experience. Perhaps it's a sign of the times. This was an outstanding organization, with an exceptional service department. Now? Suffice to say I'm less than confident. May the odds be ever in your favor. More
After getting to the financing completed, they told me it was a salvage title. When inquiring about two different vehicles I was told completely different financing terms although the price was lower. I ha was a salvage title.
