I was disappointed after buying all 3 warranty packages they charged me an additional $161 to add a 6 inch piece of clear shield protection above the windshield, and an additional 2 pieces on each side of they charged me an additional $161 to add a 6 inch piece of clear shield protection above the windshield, and an additional 2 pieces on each side of the windshield. I needed regular maintenance, plus a couple parts recalls attended to. Because I am in the critically vulnerable category regarding COVID-19, I am exhaustively cautious and mostly terrified of human contact, as well as acutely aware of disinfecting procedures wherever I go. I had made a service appointment about the same time as when the "flu hit the fan". I rescheduled at least three (maybe four?) times hence, as I watched the pandemic and its risks magnify and change. Since contagion risks seemed unstable, increasing with no slowdown, cure, or vaccine in sight, I made another attempt at getting my service work done with the least amount of risk to me. I let the crew know my apprehensions. They assured me that all surfaces would be disinfected. That was great. However, recent information about the virus indicated that it could live for a long time in the air and ventilation systems. We talked about air flow. Their procedures did not include disinfecting the ventilation system on my vehicle. We worked out a plan that met my safety needs as well as possible, and the work was done. WHEW! I was really glad to get that job off my list. What I felt most from the entire crew was kindness and patience. A part of this was that they listened and didn’t hurry, which built trust and a safe feeling. In any situation, trust, kindness, and feeling safe are everything. We all need as much kindness as we can take in every day. Thank you! Thank you! And again I say, thank you! More
