Joe, my salesperson was thorough in his explanation of the car and it's features. We had a good test drive. He was able to answer all of my questions. I had looked around enough to know that the car was an excellent deal and met my needs, so I bought it. It was late in the evening, right before close and I didn't want to do all of the paperwork, so they graciously allowed me to come back in the morning to complete the deal. I got a fair price on my trade-in, and was very satisfied with the entire process. More
Buy Happy Early this year, I made a decision to give the WRX CVT a try. So, I went to the nearest Subaru dealership (not Morrie's) to try it out. After my initial test drive, I wasn't sure it was the car for me. Alot of negative things have been written about the WRX CVT and after driving it, I was almost ready to go with another car. But, I did more research. After visiting the local Subaru enthusiast site, I thought of reaching out to Scott Putnam of Morries. Scott has been well known in the local Subaru community but we haven't had the chance to work together on a purchase before. I said if anyone could help me get the real scoop on the WRX CVT, it will be Scott. (After all, this guy has been around Subarus for a looong time and is into the national Rally scene where the likes of David Higgins, Travis Pastrana, Craig Drew and the likes compete in.) So, I sent him an email for an appointment. The day of appointment came and he patiently went through the features of the car with me. We went for a test drive that tackled freeway and side streets. Then, he was able to tell me technical aspects as well as everyday and practical details of the car. He answered ALL my questions. (I had alot!) Simply put - I ordered the same day! Pricing was fair and definitely in-line with their policy - NO HAGGLING! Just straight up pricing from the get-go! I have to admit that was new territory for me since it was my first Morries purchase. I also added a few accessories and that was pretty straight forward too. Come day of the pick-up, no surprises as he made sure we went through the proper process thoroughly. Scott also made sure he worked with my schedule so we do not rush the pick and he can answer all my questions. Special mention also to Paul and Jen who facilitated the finance process. Again, many thanks to Scott and Morries for a great example of a "Buy Happy" story! More

Sales Associate Mary Schmid is not only extremely knowledgeable technically but cares authentically about the customer, gets to know the customer; i.e. does the car fit my needs, will this purchase add pressure to my life or will it enhance my life. Mary is the first sales person from whom I did NOT feel an ounce of pressure. Additionally, prior to my personal experience buying a car at Morries, I called to consult about an issue a friend of mine had at another dealership. Mary, along with the general manager David Miller, made phone calls for my friend, did research and provided suggestions and resources, asking nothing in return. That to me is a sign of integrity, really caring about people and simply overall humanity in business today. I trust Mary implicitly and will return to her for future needs; she has the best interest of the customer in mind which appears to be an overall philosophy carried by Morries. Ryan Campion is extremely knowledgeable and helpful too, in explaining options that would financially influence this purchase. I trust the integrity of this dealership, Morries Subaru and will very happily continue doing business with them! It is a very welcoming environment! I should have had warnings going off from the beginning as it appeared I had to arrange my schedule to accommodate this purchase. I bought the full package in detail. Anyway, while driving the forester the second day of ownership, I heard a (chalk board nails scrapping) constant rattle sound from the dash area. On Saturday, I called my sales person and left a message. He returned my call the following Monday, as he was busy Saturday. Stated since I was coming in for rust package etc Thursday to mention this to service as I have a long commute. I agreed and called to confirm this appointment with service. ( I should have asked for an car exchange instead and the salesperson should have mentioned the 7 day return to me also). Service stated my name was listed for that date and wrote the extra service notes. A couple days later, I hear a clunk sound form the engine when it starts cold. Now I have had the car less than a week....Thursday - yesterday - I bring the forester to my appointment. Not only do they not have a loaner car for me as agreed, the service guy tells me I don't have an appointment and to reschedule. This is after driving to this minnetonka location for over an hour in traffic....I insist they find me a loaner car and keep my appointment as scheduled by the salesperson ( Craig) and reconfirmed during the week by me. The service person takes me to the computer and shows me a blank screen stating no appointment . He also states he can't reach my salesperson to confirm or find out about the need for the appointment since it is his day off. The service guy looked real disappointed to find out I had all my car documents with me to prove I purchased this package. He fills in the information - I am concerned my car won't be finished to be picked up today as scheduled since they act like they are doing me a favor. He states if I need parts to fix my car, it won't be done (what parts what fix - it's less than a week old - it's not used - it's new - repairs should be a distant nightmare way in the future - not the first week) It's a holiday weekend....they drive me to a car rental place to get my loaner car forgetting to inform me if I want full insurance, I have to pay for it. I call Morries service asking them how this process works - to bring the rental back to them or where. She said they do the final inspection and take my name off the rental at return to Morries. I get off the phone and explain all to the rental people and they tell me I have to bring the rental back to their location for the inspection and any refunds put on my credit card in person - then the rental place can drive me to Morries. Are you kidding me? More misinformation for Morries? surprise......I am more angry by this time than I can stand it. I give my credit card, get my rental - by the time I get home, my brain is screaming. I leave a message on my salesperson voicemail we need to talk about an exchange because I don't want to deal with this anymore - no repairs - not driving back for repairs - no hearing oh you have to reschedule because no appointment - I want a new car that runs like a new car. I want appointments kept - any errors made by Morries is Morries problem and not mine - consequences and making the customer happy is your job not mine. I will be calling them in two hours. Let's see if they are the honest company they advertise themselves to be or not. I have no problem changing my review and not blasting them to everyone I know if they do whats right and take responsibility for this vehicle that should be returned to the factory and I receive a new vehicle that I should have received in the first place. I did shop around at other dealers before going to Morrie's, and any of them could have easily ordered me a STI like I did, but they all sucked in customer service. The pricing was basically set for the car no matter where I went so it really came down to the dealership who could sell me on their services. I had the best experience with Mike Clapper. He's the best car salesman you could ask for. He's not pushy, he's more than knowledgeable and very thorough. I ordered a brand new WRX STI a couple months back and it arrived a month ahead of schedule which was a nice surprise. I was pleased with everything that happened and I will lease/buy from them again. Mike didn't give me a hard time because I came in late the 1st night to check out a car and talk options, he didn't give me a hard time about test driving a vehicle (apparently a STI is = to a Maserati at some dealerships) and he didn't get upset with the ton of annoying emails I sent him over the 2 month waiting period. :) He's owned a bunch of Subaru's himself and was able to give me the most valuable information and wasn't just trying to sell me on a car. He walked me through the entire car and all of it's features and helped make sure I was also knowledgeable in what my car is really capable of. The shop is clean, all the staff was helpful and I felt like I made the right choice in the car I purchased. No regrets. Great service for oil changes I bought my KIA from Morrie's and everything has been good so far as getting oil changed and a few warranty things awhile back. I am disappointed that they aren't KIA Dealer now but still go there. I have only had two problems, once was getting a paint chip fixed and the other is I never got my $500 back if I did the loan through them. Otherwise every thing has been good service. Friendly people and waiting there has been no problem as they have nice waiting room. More
