Strongly recommend that you if you are at all interested in character, integrity, and finding the best deal on a vehicle that you look elsewhere. My wife and I looked at Morries and located and a very hard in character, integrity, and finding the best deal on a vehicle that you look elsewhere. My wife and I looked at Morries and located and a very hard to find Mazda CX9 (color/options) of which there were only 2 in the state. Being a "one price" dealership Morries quoted us a price along with our trade-in. When it was apparent to them that we would not be purchasing the vehicle from them that day, and that we were going to be comparing them to other dealerships in the area, they became more insistent. Three additional sales people started to hover over us in an attempt to close the deal. They continually reminded us about their warranty, free car washes and oil changes for three years. We reviewed a hard to obtain copy of their warranty and found a number of technicalities and loopholes in the language that would keep them from having to perform repairs. Additionally during the test drive the sales associate asked what we did for work. Being in law enforcement I opted not to share the details with him as we were not interested in financing and it would not have been pertinent. The sales associate was bothered by this but attempted to pass it off as humor. Following the test drive we left and began comparing them with other dealerships. At the end of the day we arrived at Luther Brookdale Mazda who told us that they did not have the exact vehicle, but they perform a large number of dealer trades, and have a great relationship with Morries. The sales associate said quoted us a price that was $1,500.00 less than Morries which included $200.00 cargo tray cover. Shortly after agreeing to purchase the car with Luther, the sales associate called me back and said that Morries would not facilitate the trade of the vehicle. Having heard this I spoke with the sales manager from Morries who attempted to try and explain that their decision not to do the dealer trade had nothing to with the fact that we were at their dealership 4 hours prior. The next day in an attempt to give Morries a fair shot at the deal I spoke with the sales associate and told him about the price and asked him if they would be interested in matching Brookdale's quoted price. During the 30 minute phone conversation the associate said repeatedly that they were more interested in selling cars to people who come back to them for their next car ("we want to sell you 5 cars instead of 1"). The associate continued fervently to explain the warranty, stating that certainly there must be something that he wasn't explaining correctly for me to not see the value in it. And lastly when it was obvious that he wasn't interested in matching the price he made two mentions to the fact that he recently discovered by means of the internet and a phone or possibly an illegal query from a friend at the ATF that he now knew that I was in law enforcement. It was very apparent that they felt insulted by the fact that I would choose a dealership with a lower price and made it evident in our parting conversation. In an effort to remedy the situation Luther not only found a matching vehicle, but brought it up to us from Iowa at no additional cost. After this long ordeal it is cemented in my mind that Morries "Buy Happy" promise s nothing more than an empty slogan. Please purchase elsewhere and get a much better deal for your money and avoid the potential risk to data privacy on behalf of a scorned sales associate. More
As most people, I'm very leery of big dealerships. Most of the time I buy cars from small places with people who must have a good reputation to stay in business. When I submitted my inquiry on AutoTrader, of the time I buy cars from small places with people who must have a good reputation to stay in business. When I submitted my inquiry on AutoTrader, I received a bunch of calls from dealerships around the area - most of them sounding pretty sketchy. I got a call from Dianne and my conversation with her was much different. She was friendly, definitely not pushy, and let me talk and ask questions. She offered to help me find what I was looking for - not push me into something I wasn't. She informed me of some special rates I may qualify for, and together we explored what the options were like. I wasn't very comfortable going in the direction we started in, and I asked her if we could try something else. Without any hesitation, or tone of disappointment she immediately started working hard on what I was looking for. 3 days later, it was all worked out and yesterday I left the lot with my new car. Dianne is super-friendly, easy to work with, and made me feel completely comfortable during the process. If you're in the marker for a new car, do not hesitate to give her a call. I didn't even buy a Mazda from her lot - I got a Nissan from their Nissan dealership and Dianne showed up over there to oversee it. More
I have never experienced such a great buying experience. I actually dread buying cars and the whole process, until now! I worked with Dianne and she was amazing. I have horrible credit score due to my husbands failed business, she worked around it, and even let me be picky on what I wanted! Most salesmen only look at you as a credit score and never really listen. Dianne went above and beyond and really understood what I was trying to do as far get good gas mileage, and still have a nice car that isn't a fortune monthly. She was quick with response thru phone calls, emails, and texts and really made my buying process a priority. I will definitely buy all my cars from Dianne and will gladly recommend her to my friends and family. Thank you to Dianne!!! She ROCKS! More
Ben was patient with us and attentive to our need to replace our Volvo (hit in a crash). His task was not easy because my husband and I had pretty limited choices from the insurance company. Ben was abl replace our Volvo (hit in a crash). His task was not easy because my husband and I had pretty limited choices from the insurance company. Ben was able to steer through a fair deal and we are happy with the choice we made. I think Morrie's is fortunate to have Ben working with them. More
I have already written a review for Morrie's on this website, but I've been forced to write another... After becoming fed up with the staff at Morrie's when I attempted to take advantage of the Buy " website, but I've been forced to write another... After becoming fed up with the staff at Morrie's when I attempted to take advantage of the Buy "Happy" program, I stopped showing up to this dealership altogether. On multiple occasions I was ignored, hounded by commissioned service writers **not applicable to Steve** (these guys have claimed to my friends that have worked at Morries to be making in upwards of $70-90k/year), stood up on scheduled appointments, and made to wait hours to receive my car back after service. I had previously written an extensive review with dates, times, names, and other specifics regarding my horrible experiences, but I edited the review down to just a few short sentences after I felt that I was going a little overboard and being childish. However, this new incident, along with the reviews posted praising Morrie's DIRECTLY AFTER purchasing their new auto (ignorance is bliss?), makes me wish I wouldn't have edited it. Now I must write again. My timing belt is on the verge of snapping (according to Precision Tune Plymouth, mechanics you can trust). I called Fidelity Warranty (I purchased the Silver Warranty for an extra $1,067) to be assured that this was covered before I gave the okay to have it replaced - it's not. Although I have not reached the recommended miles before replacement (the stipulation that makes Fidelity pay for it), I have passed the 7 years from the production date of my car - freeing Fidelity from being obligated to pay for the replacement. Here's the kicker: when I purchased the warranty, I specifically asked if the timing belt would be covered for the extent of the 48,000 mile warranty (these cars have timing belt issues that I had read about before purchase). I was assured that it would be - I even looked back in the brochure they gave me and the sales woman had underlined "timing chain or belt". However, being that my car was built in 2000 and the fact that I bought the car in 2009 (9 years after production) I came to realize that my timing belt was NEVER EVEN UNDER WARRANTY! I should have read through the stack of Terms and Conditions more carefully and printed off information regarding the manufacturer's recommended replacement parts list, something that's necessary in order to understand what you are actually signing, but I didn't - I thought I was Buying Happy. I worked with Anne to purchase a new CX-9 and am very pleased with my experience. From the time I was referred to her by Barb (Sr Sales Mgr), Anne was exceptional to work with. She provided consistent pleased with my experience. From the time I was referred to her by Barb (Sr Sales Mgr), Anne was exceptional to work with. She provided consistent information throughout my decision making process but didn't overly pressure me. I think that it is key to stay in touch with customers consistently but not being too aggressive. I enjoyed every interaction for her and she made a process that can be filled with anxiety so much less stressful. I would recommend Anne to anyone interested in a new car and I stand behind Mazda 100% now just buying my 2nd new car from Morries. Thank you so much! Anne Claeson PS - one strong recommendation I would have is to provide the car protective coating options and extended warranty info before the final sit down to sign the purchase agreement. It is frustrating to have to look at those types of large expeditures at the last minute...confusing as well and a buyer just doesn't need that at the 11th hour. More
My family was looking for a car that we could fit into and afford. We got in touch with Dianne Burnham and she was great! She gave us really good advice with bringing everything that we would have in the car. So we brought all three kids and she made shopping for a car an enjoyable experience even with three kids. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was very helpful in giving suggestions. In the end we found a car that works for our family and in our price range. It was a very good experience and I would highly recommend Morrie’s Minnetonka Mazda and make sure to ask for Dianne! More
I totalled my 2008 MX-5 in the winter's first big snowstorm of 2010. The fact that I walked away from the accident with only a bruise on my hand convinced me to buy another MX-5. All the safety fea snowstorm of 2010. The fact that I walked away from the accident with only a bruise on my hand convinced me to buy another MX-5. All the safety features of the car performed beautifully during the crash. I had the tow truck drop me off at Morries' Mazda and Masarati because I felt that the people at Morries' would take care of me. And they did. Curtiss Bjorklund remembered me from my first purchase, found an open car rental office (which was incredible because all the ones I'd called had closed early because of the snow) and drove me there that day. The rest, purchasing my new car, was all by phone and email and there never was any pressure to go outside my price range. Curtiss found me the exact car I wanted, with all specific packages, including predelivery undercoating and new snow tires. It took almost 2 months to find and get my car. Curtiss never gave up trying to find me the car I wanted. Finally, he delivered it to me personally at my workplace exactly as I had ordered. I never had to do anything except email him my preferences, occasionally chat with him on the phone or text him. He found the absolutely best price (below Edmond's owing to Mazda end of the year discounts) and literally found the ONLY car left in the US that fit my specifications (I checked on the internet). Everyone at Morries' is great, including the service department, but if you want a car for a specific price that's at all reasonable - particularly a rare car of any make or model - Curtiss Bjorklund at Morries' Mazda and Masarati is the only person to call!
