When I arrived at Morrie’s Mazda looking for a new car to replace my old Saturn, I honestly was worried. Mainly because, in the two occasions where I have bought a car before, I was paired with a typical car salesman from the movies: pushy, artificial, and looking to close the deal as quickly as possible. Instead, I was greeted right on the lot as I walked in, by Montrell Yancey. Montrell was friendly, funny, and I felt welcome there right away. The first thing he did was sat down and asked what mattered to me in car. He listened attentively, made notes, and addressed each of my questions patiently. I decided I wanted to check out the new CX-5. When it came time for the test drive, he knew everything about the CX-5. I had been to dealerships that week that didn’t know any details without looking at the manual. I had a great time on my test drive, learning about all the new features and asking questions. You know when I decided I was going to increase my $10,000 budget to $27,000 to purchase a CX-5? I decided on my test drive…when I felt like I was hanging out with a good friend that had my best interest at heart. Montrell was fun, but also professional. During my test drive, he patiently addressed every concern and reservation I had about spending two-times more than I had planned to. To be honest, spending that much money can be scary! I wanted to know I made the right decision. Now, when I pay that car payment each month I don’t feel regret like I might have expected. I feel confident in my decision, because Montrell really stood 110% behind the product I purchased. When a ‘check engine’ light came on a few weeks back, I called service and made an appointment. When I got to work the next day, he had emailed me to check in and make sure it was taken care of. I continue to be impressed with Montrell’s customer service and Morrie’s Mazda. Thank you for making my first big car purchase a breeze. I will definitely recommend your dealership to my friends and family looking for a vehicle in the future. When we purchased our new vehicle, the sale went good and I found our sales person to be very friendly. However, once the sale was over I learned the "Free oil changes for 3 years" is a sham, it will cost $4 I found our sales person to be very friendly. However, once the sale was over I learned the "Free oil changes for 3 years" is a sham, it will cost $40 + each oil change to use the 0W-20 oil the maintenace manual calls for. Now that we have had our 3rd oil change completed, I again questioned them and now they admit they have only been putting synthetic blend 5W-20 oil in not the 0W-20 as promissed in our original discussion at the first. To top off the situation, I gave a bad rating on their last service survey and received a phone call from the service manager. I got a 10 minute ear full stating I have no right to give a 1 score on those surveys and that I should no longer bring my car there for service. Really? How about you refund me the $500 dollars I paid extra to buy from Morries? That is the price difference between Morries and Walser. I got the Morries "Buy happy" for that difference of $500 but when does the Buy Happy start? How about the 3 years of free oil changes using ONLY the oil the use manual suggests? I am not asking for a lot, only the user manual RECOMMENDS. Mark my words, you will NEVER see me walk into a Morries dealership again to purchase a vehicle. More
This is the second car we have purchased from Morrie's Mazda in the past six months and our salesperson for both transactions was Dan Hegge. To be honest, Dan is the main reason why we came back to this dealership for a second vehicle. Over the years I have purchased vehicles with a sticker price over $50,000 and the first car we bought from Dan was under $8,000. I received better service from Dan/Morrie's 'before, during, and after' the sale on this used vehicle than I have from any other dealership where I spent upwards of 6 times that amount. No matter what price range you are looking at, new or used, I would highly recommend purchasing your vehicle from Dan Hegge at Morrie's Mazda. More
After researching the Mazda CX5 and feeling pretty sure we were making the right decision it came down to finding who I wanted to purchase the vehicle through. After reading several reviews on this website and others it appeared that Morries was the right selection. Mike Ondracek was a very knowledgeable and friendly salesman. He provided my wife and I with all the information needed to make our decision that much easier. At no point did we feel uncomfortable or pushed. Not only did he ensure we understood everything about the vehicle but he explained why Morrie's seperated themselves from the competition. Although we just purchased this vehicle I'm looking forward to any future dealings with Morrie's as it appears the entire operation is poised to please. Mike finished our experience by sitting in the vehicle with us to pair both of our Iphones to the Bluetooth system. He went out of his way to make sure we were both happy and prepared to use use all of the features of this great vehicle. Even though Mike left the Air Force to continue his service with the Navy this Air Force veteran won't hold it against him. Cheers! More
All of the people were very kind, considerate and knowledgeable. Other products were mentioned and the pros and cons shared, but nothing was pushed. While taking the car for a test drive, our neighbor encouraged us to purchase the vehicle. Unbeknownst to me, he and his daughter had each purchased a car from Dan and our neighbor was raving about how well he was treated. We are very pleased with our experience. Dan Hegge is a caring salesperson who helps people to make a quality and thorough decision. More
I brought my car in for the scheduled oil change and it was miss-communicated to me that the serpentine belt was cracked and rusted and strongly recommended that it be changed, especially since my husband was miss-communicated to me that the serpentine belt was cracked and rusted and strongly recommended that it be changed, especially since my husband was taking the vehicle out of town the next day. I agreed to the $190 repair because of the urgency. I kept the old belts and realized the serpentine belt was not cracked at all and was in no immediate danger of breaking. Apparently, the mechanic felt the need to change it because it was making noise, although, the noise was never heard when I drove the car. In the end, Mike, the customer service representative, apologized for the mishap and reimbursed the cost of the "repair", but stood by the mechanic's opinion, stating it was miss-communicated to me through the office person handling the repair. I am pleased that he dealt with me in a reasonable/friendly manner. My advice to everyone, is get a second opinion where ever you go for service, if possible, and ask for the replaced part. I have grown much wiser through this incident. I take responsibility for my decisions and have learned to be wiser. The kindness and ease of car maintenance through Morrie's led me to let my guard down and not use my knowledge, I got lazy :) shame on me. I love my Mazdas (I've had two) and feel the sales person (Kent), each time, has been very helpful. More

Recently, I visited several different dealerships in my search for a new car and while all of them had cars that I liked, only one dealership stood out in terms of customer service and that was Morrie's Ma search for a new car and while all of them had cars that I liked, only one dealership stood out in terms of customer service and that was Morrie's Mazda in Minnetonka. From start to finish, Curt Bjorklund (my sales consultant) was professional, thorough, friendly and authentic. He has great listening skills, answered all the questions that I asked and, whenever possible, he even took the time to show me how various features of the car worked (i.e when I asked how a phone works with the system, he had me take out my phone and we actually synced it via bluetooth to the car system and I made and received a call). For me, buying a new car was a great experience. I never felt pressured or rushed during the process and by the time I was ready to make a decision, I had everything I needed to make my choice. It is people like Curt who make the Morrie's Mazda BUY HAPPY slogan possible. His product knowledge, people skills and commitment to customer service are exceptional and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great car buying experience! More
