Justin did a great job of keeping us in the loop on the transaction, and ensured the car was quickly shipped once payment was received. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM MORRIES. DO NOT LET MORRIES SERVICE YOUR CAR. First thing that happens as you walk through the door they will overwhelm you with their Minnesota Nice (Fake). I'll admit, its a great YOUR CAR. First thing that happens as you walk through the door they will overwhelm you with their Minnesota Nice (Fake). I'll admit, its a great tactic and I fell for it. Morrie's Cadillac and Saab is EXACTLY like the car dealership in the film Fargo. I'm surprised they didn't try to sell me undercoat. I will break this review down into two separate sections. SALES: The salesmen are very nice but completely uninformed about the cars they sell. I am a bit of a car guy so I know what I'm getting myself into. I asked both questions I knew the answers to and those I didn't. Morrie's sells high-performance cars like Saabs and Cadillacs yet when I asked the horsepower rating of the car I was test driving not only did she not know... she wasn't even close! She suggested 120. This car has 210. I also asked about maintenance and she told me the car was maintained at the dealership. After purchasing the car (I know, screwed up here, I should have asked before) the service tech was bewildered because someone higher up than him DELETED all the maintenance records. Very shady. Also, after selling you the car they will try to sell you a garbage extended warranty. These warranties are provided by slimeball operations that will not cover anything related to "normal wear and tear" and/or "lack of maintenance". Guess what you can't prove? That the item in question was not caused by either of these things. DO NOT BUY THEIR EXTENDED WARRANTY (or their cars). SERVICE: While test driving the car I discovered a faulty parking brake they were trying to COVER UP. It would not engage at all. After calling them out on this they agreed to fix it. I brought the car in four times before they were finally able to fix it. A parking brake is one of the simplest components on a car yet after each time I brought it in and they told me it was fixed... it would not engage. Imagine the safety risk of thinking your brake works and it failing on a steep hill?? After attempt two, the tech took my car for a wash. He left the door ajar and water leaked in, shorting out the amplifier under the driver's seat. (They tried to tell me it was due to a door leak; I've washed the car several times and there are no leaks) They replaced it with another defective amp which provided poor sound quality to the speakers. After calling them out on this, the used car sales manager told me it wasn't his problem as the speakers were blown. I explained that two independent speakers cannot blow at the same time unless poor power is being supplied by the amp. More than likely, it wasn't blown speakers but rather a defective amp, the one they installed. This gentleman, who has less brain cells in his head than a piece of granite, continued to argue with me in a belligerent tone. DO NOT BUY A CAR AT OR GET YOUR CAR SERVICED AT MORRIE'S. I know there are many positive reviews about this place but take it from me: I have an engineering degree and have done extensive maintenance work on cars and aircraft. I know when a stealership is jerking your chain and this place has it down to a science. STAY AWAY. More
After extensive research on the web and visits to 5 dealerships, we decided an Aspen was the right vehicle for our family. Dan was knowledgeable, attentive to our needs guiding us through our decision process without the pushy hard sell that often makes us run the other way. Throughout the financing and paperwork process he was respectful as well as patient and understanding that although this was a used car, it was a major purchase for us. We appreciated his sense of duty to us and making sure that we were happy with the vehicle and Morrie's. The vehicle was a solid purchase and a good value, but without Dan's approach we would have probably walked away from the deal and continued our search until the sale felt right.We would strongly recommend Dan and Morrie's to our friends and family! We had a great experience at this dealership, which we'd never been to before. We contacted Justin Riddell over the phone to talk about two specific used vehicles, then met him there for the test drive we'd never been to before. This was my first experience buying a car from a dealership and I couldn't be more impressed. I have heard not-so-great things about dealerships just as we all have, but my experience put all of tha dealership and I couldn't be more impressed. Dan was so helpful during the entire car shopping experience and made me feel at home and safe with the large investment I was making.
