I had it towed in on a Thursday evening with an 8am appointment to look at it. 5 days later they called and said it was indeed it was their fault, but I would have to pay 300$ for some additional work, I agreed and they again assured me that they were covering the tow. 12 days in the shop, I picked it up, at that point Ben Lowinske , the person I had been dealing with told me that they couldn't cover the tow at that time and that they would send me a check. I paid the bill. Next day he left me a message saying he was sending a check but that I owed them more money. Not the deal that I agreed to and how do you charge someone more after they have already paid the agreed upon amount? on the invoice it also stated that a multipoint inspection was done, I guess that doesn't include tire pressure because when I got home 1 tire was 15lbs low, I really wonder what else they "did" that they didn't do. Well, almost 2 weeks later and no check .From my experience, I'd say go elsewhere, unless you like shoddy work, dishonesty and total disrespect. They shouldn't be allowed to display the chevy emblem at this place, they don't live up to the name. More
DAMAGES UNRESOLVED: Had service done to my car, they didnt wash it which I thought was fishy considering it was full of salt and they always wash it. when I went to pick it up it was parked crooked in a didnt wash it which I thought was fishy considering it was full of salt and they always wash it. when I went to pick it up it was parked crooked in a tight spot. Left there to get scuffed bye all the traffic opening there car doors. Didnt think anything of it, until I took it to a car wash. Once washed i realized that someone had hit my car. I told kelly hines and he represented himself as he was gonna "take care of me" and get this estimate from his guy and well make sure well do you right... yea, until I finally get a hold of him and he tells me they wont assume any responsibility because he thinks it's the same as being parked at target.. either your mechanics or someone in your parking lot where my car was left, damaged my car. MY VEHICLE was in YOUR CARE AND CONTROL. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. Not the same as target. Because wouldn't have parked it like an idiot. They always park it out back where customers dont park. Why is this different, and why is it left with salt? To hide the damages? I guess that's what you get when you buy a $52,000 car from them and take pride in it. You get led on to believe they'll take care of you and screw you over. Me and my family and friends will keep leaving negative reviews weekly, and will NEVER return to this place. The 2600 dollar fix costed you guys a lifetime of business through a very large family in forest lake. Congratulations! More
Problem solved I am not sure actually how i feel about this situation, hence the 3 star review. Also i am terrible with names. I really wish i could remember them. B I am not sure actually how i feel about this situation, hence the 3 star review. Also i am terrible with names. I really wish i could remember them. Bought a car with 30,000 miles on it, second day driving it i heard some brake noise in the front end. I had to work so my wife brought the vehicle in to the service center. The Tech sent her home saying he could not get the vehicle to make any noise. She picked me up from work 3 hours later and i got in the car and the noise was obvious. At this point i was pretty mad, i drove the vehicle straight back to the dealer, of course the service guy who looked at it earlier had left for the day. After a bit of discussion and driving the vehicle into the service garage myself the check in lady says to the service writer, something is wrong with that. The new service guy i spoke with was fantastic, didn't even pull the vehicle out of the garage all the way and said "yep, i want to take the tires off and look at it" Within a couple hours we were leaving with new pads and rotors in the front. Moral of the story, had my wife had the service that i received this would be a 5 star review. Just a little concerning that a vehicle with an obvious problem was seen completely different by 2 different technicians. More
Terrible service dept. Bought a brand new truck from Forest Lake Chevrolet, that experience was bad enough but the service dept is even worse. I brought the truck in for a Bought a brand new truck from Forest Lake Chevrolet, that experience was bad enough but the service dept is even worse. I brought the truck in for a grinding noise on cold start up, got a loaner and left my truck overnight. The next day Michael Tidd calls me and said they heard the noise and it was either the air pump or the oil pump but it was a normal condition. I disagreed and said it wasn't, I even played a recording of th noise for him and asked if that is what he heard and he said yes, that is normal. Still not believing him I looked at the truck myself when I got home. Within 2 minutes of listening to the noise and following where it was coming from I discovered the starter was not dis-engaging as it should. I called the dealer back and set an appointment up to get a new starter put in, they couldn't get me in for almost 2 weeks. After driving 80 miles (each way) I get there and they didn't even have a starter to put in (a phone call to reschedule would been nice). Three round trips, 480 miles of driving, over 8 hours of my time wasted and my truck still isn't fixed. VERY disappointed in this service department. More
