First things first, against my better judgment, I visited a Morrie's dealership today after a history of shady business practices that almost always involves screwing their customers. That's on me. However, it still floors me just how bold these people can be with their deception. It's like an art taught to each of the salesman when they join Morrie's, you almost have to be a liar and a low life as a condition of employment. That being said, they gave me all the excuses about why they wouldn't honor supplier incentives, how there's a shortage of vehicles (while their lot is so full they can barely fit any additional inventory), and how the reason for the shortage are chips even though Mary Barra herself has come out to tell everyone that they're intentionally slowing production to induce shortages. It gets worse...I was upfront that I wouldn't test drive the vehicle without supplier pricing (dealerships out there still honor this program folks). I didn't want to waste their time or my own. I also had an infant in toe and did not want to test drive a vehicle unless they were willing to work with me on pricing. We test drove the vehicle, gave them the info on our trade and Jake said he thought they could get close to beating supplier pricing. We went for a test drive and I told my wife..."watch them low ball us on our trade." They didn't fail to impress. Not only did they low ball us on our trade by 35% (and told us it was because the market has turned even after justifying their outrageous price by claiming inventory was still low), but they also tried to compare it to a deal with supplier pricing and present it to me as if I was stupid enough to think that somehow I was benefitting by paying more for the truck and getting a slight increase in my trade allowance. I was dumbstruck by just how stupid they thought I was. Between their xx excuses to right screwing customers to thinking I was stupid enough to take the deal they put together, I've hardly been more disappointed by a dealership experience. Add to the dishonesty and slimy dealmaking the fact that they wasted our time after we were upfront about our boundaries and these people proved that they're only one level above pond xxxx. They'd have to be to do what they do day in and day out and still be able to sleep at night. Take your time and do your research...there are better (less dishonest) dealers in the Twin Cities. More

My experience was excellent! I knew what I wanted and had done my shopping beforehand. Clem easily addressed any concerns/questions, no pressure. I would say overall it was an average experience but nothing to write home about. Clem was helpful over the phone and email when I located the vehicle and another young sale associate was helpful whe nothing to write home about. Clem was also helpful the day of me purchasing the vehicle. Which was the day right after my test drive of it. Clem worked urgently and was in constant communication with me so I could pick up the vehicle that night. Clem also took the time to go through the entire vehicle before I took it home and went through all the features and got me all set up which I really appreciated. When it came to pick up the vehicle however it was not as great of an experience but wasn't awful just more of a middle of the road experience. The vehicle was not cleaned on the inside at all. There were still dirt and marks that I saw previously the night before when driving and I was told it was cleaned the day of and ready for me when was coming to pick it up. which was disappointing that the inside was not wiped down. Another thing was that It was hard to look at the body of the vehicle the night before due to it raining and being later at night so when I test drove it I didn't notice the blemishes that I did the day of purchasing. It was a new vehicle to me so I wanted it to look as best as it could. I also had brought a relative to look it over with me. He noticed some additional things and was speaking to another sales associate if anything could be done to fix it or make the paint a little better. The other sales associate gave him a little attitude and basically said the vehicle is used and it is what it is. I understand the vehicle was used and that with that comes minor cosmetic flaws. I felt that they just wanted the check and to cut me lose as we were trying to get a another good look at the vehicle. The sales associate then left and grabbed another person with short spikey hair who I assumed was the manager. The manager came out and told us how much they were losing on the vehicle already and that losing more won’t hurt anymore in a tone that didn't seem positive but I could be misreading it. However, the manager did offer a full wet sand and buff and did have a dent removed for me which I did appreciate and they did do it which did make the paint look nicer even though a few areas look like it could have been hit a little better and not sure if some touch up paint was put on during it but those couple of spots were bubbled up as it they just dropped the paint on it and did not try blending or smoothing it out as it is raised a little bit and are noticeable still which is a little bit of a bummer. As I have had experiences at other dealerships when buying a used vehicle where I noticed something and they sent the vehicle to a body shop to correct or touch it up and I could never notice it or it didn't seem like an issue with that dealership. However, the dent was removed so that is good and after the wet sand the vehicle overall is a lot better. Overall I was really happy working with Clem. He was able to work with me on making a deal and worked fast so I could pick it up within a day. I wished the vehicle inside would have at least been cleaned and the few paint touch ups could be fixed a little better but I get it being used. I appreciate them being willing to take the dent out and buff the vehicle down in order to save the sale in a way. More
