UPDATE: It is 7/9, and I picked up my car. Chase, my salesman, was very professional, knowledgeable, and made efforts to keep me informed on the status of my vehicle. Even on his day off, he kept me updated with the tech's status. I must mention Pierre who assisted when I went to pick up my vehicle. He made contact with Chase and was able to retrieve my car, gas it up, and sent me on my way. I am thankful my husband suggested I give Moritz Kia another try. This experience was vastly better. I LOVE my Sorento Over a week ago, I started off this post on a positive note with a good sales experience. I purchased car on 6/30 and made the associated down payment and trade in. Today is 7/9, and I'm STILL waiting to pick it up. Every time I inquire about pick up, "we're waiting on a part. It'll be another day or two." On 7/8, I reached out to my sales associate and explained the situation and how it's unacceptable. He gets back and states they're working on it and "should be ready today or tomorrow." Do I trust this? I understand there are circumstances that have an effect: - supply chains are still low from COVID - potential limited labor to do the work - I purchased this right before a holiday Still, this brings these questions to mind. Why doesn't the service center that work on Kias not have a back-up supply? If it's that serious of a repair, why are people test driving these vehicles??? I will update when I finally pick my vehicle. More
