We found Mr. Esposito to be very helpful as we were determining which car would best meet out needs and then what plan we were most comfortable with. I have purchased a Honda from Morehead prior to this, but repeat loyalty did not seem to make a difference in the service I received. There was no record and no one seemed to care that I drove 45 minutes to this dealer when I could have gone to Curry Honda, 20 minutes from home. My first experience with Morehead (at their old location) was excellent, so I was willing to make the trip. Neil, the salesman, was very low pressure and kind. It would have been a good idea for him to make a follow up phone call after my initial visit since I was clearly interested in purchasing a vehicle because my car had recently been totalled in a car accident. I got a call from a lovely woman whom I did not know, but agreed to go back for a test drive. The two sales managers with whom I dealt were neither helpful nor flexible. There was little negotiating with the first sales manager who told me that it was impossible to get the CRV for $27,000 because the new redesign was only 5 weeks old and there was still high interest in the car. He said he would split the difference and go to $27,800 and that was it. There was no more discussion. I'm not sure how that works, but OK. When I came back, I dealt with a different sales manager. I was told that I could have a automatic start included in my purchase price if I took a car that was already at the dealership, but if I wanted to wait for my color choice, I would have to pay. This does not seem very logical to me. He was rather brusqe and impatient. When I said I had to call my husband to check, he walked past me twice and overtly checked his watch both times. Clearly I was annoying to him. Again, I paid. Once I committed to purchasing the CRV and paying in full for the auto start, everything went smoothly and the car arrived on time and in perfect condition with mud flaps included at no additional charge. The finance guy was very informative. I understand that car dealerships need to make a profit and I have NO problem with that, but their job is to make the customer feel like he or she has at least made a good deal. I am a loyal customer who would have been willing to drive to Morehead for my oil changes and future purcahses, but I think I may just drive over to Curry and give my money to them. More
Both Phil and Mike were great to do business with! I had never bought a new car before this experience and I felt very intimidated walking in the dealership. Phil put my mind at ease immediately! Our salesman Tommy Loving was excellent. He was very professional and personable. ALso the dealership in general is filled with very friendly people. This was our second vehicle purchase with Mark Etri at Morehead Honda in the past two years. This says alot about the dealer because we have 6 Honda dealers within 30 minuites of us. We were originally referred to the dealership by a friend who had high praises of Morehead Honda's prices, service, and sales. For the second time we have had a very plesent experience with the purchase of our new vehicle. Mark is outstanding in his knowledge of the entire vehicle line and the overall sales department has a new school sales approach. You will not find any "let me promise you the world and then you find out differently later on" like at other dealerships we have experienced! Our expericne with the service department and the dealership over all has been outstanding. Pricing for the Honda Pilot and for our previous Accord were much better than the published averages on cars.com or Edmunds and comfortably beat other Honda dealerships in the area. I would like to have been informed prior to the purchase of my NEW CRV LX that if i wanted to change the rims at any point in time I would have to buy honda rims and that it would cost me an additional $250 of my NEW CRV LX that if i wanted to change the rims at any point in time I would have to buy honda rims and that it would cost me an additional $2500...If i knew this before I purchased the vehicle I would've purchased the CRV EX instead .... Also the finance person did not mention to me that he had checked any other banks other than the bank we already had a loan through for rates...Was not happy with having to wait 3 days to drive my new car. More
Had a great experience over at morehead honda. Walking in I was already greeted with smiles and enthusiasm. It was great to see that my salesman, Phil, shared the same enthusiasm for cars that I did. Having that connection made the process that much enjoyable. He knew everything there was to know about the vehicle and removed all doubts in my mind if it was the car for me or not. The energy he brung to the table always kept me excited about the purchase. My finance guy, Dan, was very patient with us and made sure we understood everything from top to bottom. I've no regrets buying from morehead and if I ever want to buy a new car that's exactly where I'd go! More
