We went to Morehead to purchase a used vehicle for our daughter. Mark was very helpful in assisting her to select the right vehicle for her needs and gladly tunred us over to Rich so that we could come in daughter. We just started the looking process of getting a new car on Saturday. I didn't realize I would be leaving with a car. Tommy made the process so simple for us. I was contacted by Morehead Honda because they wanted me to trade in my 2010 Honda Civic. My lease was over halfway done, and I was promised a brand new car for a similar price to what I was paying if I de to trade in my 2010 Honda Civic. My lease was over halfway done, and I was promised a brand new car for a similar price to what I was paying if I decided to trade in my "desired" older car. In the end, everything worked out and I am very happy with my new car (though I would have liked a cheaper payment than the one with which I was left). Tommy Loving was very nice, but he came on a little too strong. I was asked about twenty times (I'm not even exaggerating) to take this survey and give him all great ratings. It was borderline annoying. But my real issue is this: I was supposed to deal with Phil Enright. I was told that he had to leave early on the day that we were supposed to meet, so I ended up dealing with Tommy Loving. I was with my father, and the two of them hit it off, so my father and I decided that it was okay to deal with Tommy instead of Phil (since we weren't given a straight answer as to when Phil would be available to meet). I had dealt with Phil on my first visit to Morehead, and I was very happy with him. I agreed to come in and discuss a possible trade-in because I was promised that I would be dealing with him again. I was made to believe that Phil wouldn't be available anytime soon, and I was told that Phil had handed off my "case" to Tommy, so I didn't think twice about dealing with Tommy instead of Phil. However, shortly after taking my new car home, I spoke with Phil, and I found out that I was lied to: he never knew that I was coming to the dealership to discuss a trade. He didn't even know that I was getting a new car until the day I came to pick it up. I am very angry about this. I was lied to and mislead, which I find to be highly unprofessional and inappropriate. I know that Phil no longer works at Morehead Honda, but I still think that something should be done about this. It seems to me that Phil basically had a sale stolen from him. I'm not blaming any one person in particular; I have no idea who started the deception. It may not even have been intentional or vicious; but it still doesn't sit well with me. I wasn't going to do the survey at all, but I just came across the paperwork (thanks to spring cleaning), so I thought that I would go ahead and vent my frustrations over all of this. It's water under the bridge, and as I said, I love my car, so I'm not losing sleep over it. I just think that this should be known to the "powers that be," because if this is how things are done around Morehead Honda, I will not continue to do business there. I went to lease the Honds Accord from the current promotion running. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist. When I saw Tommy Loving whom I know for years as a wondrful person!
