I have had the best service at morehead honda. The staff really listened to me and went over and beyond to get me what I needed. I wasn't being pushed around to buy something that I didn't want. I wanted to share my experience with Chris Longinott at Morehead Honda in Newburgh. I had never purchased a new car before, so I went there feeling a bit nervous. I was very fortunate to be helped by Chris Longinott. Chris took his time to help me decide which car would suit me best. He made me feel confident in my choice. Chris was so patient in answering all of my questions about leasing my new Honda. I had many questions, since I had never done this before. Chris made me feel like each question was important. In the end I left there feeling so good about my decision! He also expressed his happiness for me and my new purchase! I am loving my new car! I can't say enough good things about Chris Longinott! We had been approached by the Honda dealer who had serviced our car for the past six years that they would like to purchase it. This started us thinking it was a good time to get a new Honda. Ours w serviced our car for the past six years that they would like to purchase it. This started us thinking it was a good time to get a new Honda. Ours was a 2006 with 150,000 miles. But when we tried to get some quotes on a new Civic from this dealer, they were reluctant to give a telephone quote and said they wanted us to come in. We began shopping around, tried a Credit Card buying service and finally got a few quotes we felt were quite good. We then called Morehead and they have us a quote that was substantially higher than the lowest we'd gotten. We spoke on the phone with Nancy, who consulted with her manager and came back and said they'd really like our business and would honor the lowest quote, but asked us to take out a Honda loan. When we got to the dealership, it was the morning of a major snowstorm. Our plan was to choose a car, settle on a final price, get a quote from them on a trade-in, and then see a few other dealers to compare trade- in quotes. Instead, they offered us a very competitive price on a trade-in and made us feel they really wanted our business. Our salesperson was Ryan Steffy, whom we found very personable, patient and knowledgeable. When it came time to finalize pricing, particularly on the trade-in, he called over General Sales Manager Freddie Dunning, who was very flexible and gave us a final price that was significantly higher than the estimate we'd originally gotten. Due to the bad weather, we picked up the car two days after these initial transactions. Again, Ryan Steffy was very helpful. The car was shinny and perfect, and he spent close to an hour sitting in it with us showing us how to navigate all the new electronics, going so far as to set up our telephones for us so we could use the hands-free features. He also explained about new safety features such as the rear-view camera and the vehicle stabilization, which helps stabilize the car in ice or snow. When it came time to sign all the papers and pay for the car, the process was much quicker than we expected, and there was no pressure from Mike Desantis, Business Manager, to purchase add-ons. To sum up, this dealership was very consistent throughout the buying process, which began with the first phone call to them. We purchased the car in the beginning of January and have had it two months now, a 2013 Civic LX. It rides like a dream, and we have had no problems whatever. We are especially appreciative of this since we've had quite a rough winter. More
