Very Frustrating Service Experience This service visit was on a recently purchased pre owned 2013 Cadillac, CTS, Sedan with very low mileage. The service was for a key fob (still under This service visit was on a recently purchased pre owned 2013 Cadillac, CTS, Sedan with very low mileage. The service was for a key fob (still under warranty) and to obtain a second key which did not come with the purchase. The fob I was given was nonfunctional from the day the car was purchased, and the sales agent claimed the previous owner did not provide a second key. When I asked the sales agent for assistance, she referred me to the service department. I made an appointment with the service department and elected to wait: thinking, how complicated can it be to fix a fob and cut a new key? I arrived early and I was advised that it would take about an hour to identify the problem(s) and determine what needed to be done. I was also told that since I did not receive two keys with the car, I might to get a second key at no cost (just the key, without fob). After an hour and a half without a word, I found the service person who checked me in, and he seemed flat footed, and claimed he was on his way to check the status then. About a half hour later, I was told that a new fob was being programmed, it was covered under warranty and I'd be on my way in about an hour. There was no mention of the second key. About a half hour later, another service person approached me about the second key and quoted me a price of over $350.00. I informed him that I did not want a second fob, just the key: OK, that was $40.00, which I already knew, because I had visited the Parts Department and they told me they had a blank for my VIN # and gave me the price. So I asked the service person to just get me a key and I'll be on my way. An hour and a half later, I left Moore Cadillac with one new fob and one new key. I can not imagine why it took a dealership service department 4 hours to diagnose a failed key fob, reprogram a new one and cut and program a new key - this is not rocket science. I was left with the unmistakable impression that these people just don't give a xxxx. I will not use this service department again, nor will I recommend it to anyone else. More
Caution!!!!! worst experience ever Incompetent mechanics/technicians worst experience ever paid over $6,000 for work and leave the next morning the check engine light was on and whe Incompetent mechanics/technicians worst experience ever paid over $6,000 for work and leave the next morning the check engine light was on and when I return to the dealership and after almost two days all I got was a new bill but did not fix The warranty work and The explanation was replacing parts that i replaced before and told me if I want I could take it some place else I paid them and so this is how you treat customers after have there car for 3 weeks when I was told 3 to 4 days so sad if you take your car there that would be poor judge for anybody with any intelligent...... More
