I was so set on getting a honda accord when I stopped in to look at the Kia Optima. Stanley was very helpful with my decision and the whole time never bad mouthed the competition. I never thought i would own anything than a honda, but Stanley made me feel good about my purchase. I was very pleased with Stanley, the kia we have yet to see! More
First of all - I love this dealership. I owned a Kia Soul and the window would not go up. My dealership would not see me. Once I got thre, they also offered to fix the other recall for me & do my inspection as well (I had a scheduled appt at my dealership on Friday). They offered me a shuttle to get lunch while I waited. Everyone was extremely friendly & attentive. What a refreshing experience...and from a dealership that I had never done business with before. The service department is wonderful!!! At that point I said to myself " I am buying my next car from here". No sooner had that thought popped into my head - when Ken came by & asked if I was looking for a new car - while getting me a coffee. I told him that I had my car less than a year....but, was not thrilled with it. So, he took me around & showed me all the vehicles. He worked with me on price as well as on the features I was looking for. He totally changed the way I looked at buying a new car. What a fabulous experience !! I highly recommend Ken & his crew at Monroeville Mazda. More
Ken was my sales rep. He was friendly and understanding of my needs from the beginning. Always treated me with respect and secured the Mazda I wanted. The transaction was quick, which was importsnt since m of my needs from the beginning. Always treated me with respect and secured the Mazda I wanted. The transaction was quick, which was importsnt since my car had been totaled in a flash flood and I was paying for a rental. He lead me through the process with knowledge, took me on various road types on the test run so I would know how the car handled in many situations. He never pressed me for a commitment, but talked me through the details, winning my respect of who he was and the dealership for whom he was employed. If there is a bonus to be had or raise to be given, Ken more than deserves that. Tom worked on the financing for several hours trying to secure the best APR we could get. Mazda advertised a 0% APR on this particular car. Tom felt I should have received that with $11,400.00 down and only $7500.00 left to finance and good credit ratings. He was disapointed that I did not get the 0% but a 6.9% instead. That was a disappointed to me as well, since the advertising indicated 0% and Tom felt I qualified for that. Perhaps you should look into the banking systems you use that does not allow a dealership to give the APR you advertise. Had I not had as large a down payment or a s good a credit rating it would have been understandable. I took the 6.9 because I needed the vehicle and could not afford the time to finance shop. Now i must finance shop on my own to secure a better APR. I believe Tom assisted me fairly and was as upset about the APR given as was I. This issue I would like feed back on...a reason Tom could not get from the banking system as to why this rate was that high. More
The experience was acceptable. I did feel rushed somewhat. The car is hopefully one that will stand the test of time. The finance office was heavily perfumed with air freshener. Alvin was a absolute dream come true. My family and I had been to several dealerships in the area narrowing down our choices of vehicles. Alvin was very curtious and took the time and showed us how to operat been to several dealerships in the area narrowing down our choices of vehicles. My family is in the habit of buying vehicles every three years. My mother and father has been doing so since they were 20, now they are in their late 80's. Both of them, my husband, and I all came to a very quick agreement that Alvin has been the nicest, most knowledgeable salesman we have ever had in all our years of purchasing vehicles. Drove to the dealership to buy a new Kia, left with a new Mazda 3, completely unplanned... especially since I was adamant about a manual. Inventory was scarce. Didn't have the either of the cars I was in Mazda 3, completely unplanned... especially since I was adamant about a manual. Inventory was scarce. We had been to many KIA dealerships before going to Monroeville KIA and i guess it is true you save the best for last. He was so patient and took the time to explain all the features of the car and hooked up my daughters phone to the hands free feature the car has.I would recommend anyone who is interested in a new car to stop by and see Alvin Knox.
