"Disrespectful and deceitful service department" I recently took my vehicle in for repairs that are covered under warranty. After several calls to the service department I realized it was unprofessional, disorganized and had poor customer service. However, the manufacturer told me I had to get my repairs at a KIA dealership because of the warranty. I left work early and brought my vehicle in to see what parts they needed to order. It was determined, and I reiterated several times that I needed 4 new door handles and a tire sensor. I stated several times to the service employees, the door handles get stuck in the (out) position. This prevents the door from latching closed, 2 of the doors swung open while I was driving and it’s a SAFETY HAZZARD. They were supposed to call me but never did. I spent the next 2 ½ weeks calling the parts department and being told one day the parts were ordered and would need painted, and told 2 days later the parts were never ordered and then a week later being told they didn’t even know I needed parts…….RED FLAGS! Reluctantly I left work early again and took my vehicle in to get 4 new door handles a tire sensor and fuel door repair. They only replaced one door handle (sloppily) painted and nothing else. First, the employees insisted they replaced all four handles and the tire sensor. I was frustrated and told them I knew they didn’t replace the handles because I had pictures and the original ones were still on the car. Eventually the two employees present admitted they only replaced one door handle and not all four and stated they didn’t know I needed all four……WHAT! I was asked by one of the gentlemen “ how would you know the wheel sensor wasn’t replaced, its inside the tire and you wouldn’t see it”. I explained to him that a portion of the sensor is visible on all three tires as it connects to the air nozzle and you can clearly see that one wheel doesn’t have a sensor! They still wanted me to sign a packet of documents stating the work was completed. I wrote a note on the document stating the work wasn’t completed. I later contacted the manufacturer and said I wanted to take my vehicle elsewhere and they agreed. A week later I got a call from Monroeville kia stating they had 3 door handles for me. I asked about the fourth door handle because the other one was (sloppily painted) and the wheel sensor. Again he said he didn't know about the sensor or door handle and was soooo rude to me. I would never take my car back to that horrible place!!! To make matters worse, when another KIA dealer contacted them for parts/serial numbers, Monroeville KIA instructed them not to fix my car.........UNBELIEVABLE! I’m outraged and can’t even began to understand why I was treated so poorly by them. And I don’t know why they’re mad at me when they are the ones who pretended to fix my car. I just More

Everything was going smooth they asked if I had a co sign or could I get one I TOLD THEM NO & THEY SAID THATS FINE!! Took my down payment of $1,000 mind you my credit score is in the 700s!!! I WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE THE CAR THE SAME DAY!! So they said well the dealership will be closing so we will have to finish everything tomorrow. I said ok. Next day it's 10:00am I get a call from the lady talking about I'm sorry you do need a co sign & there's nothing we can do. But from my knowledge I thought everything was going thru because THEY TOOK MY $1,000. & now its a whole new day & basically they are just saying they don't know why my money still ain't on my card because " they did their part " but my bank is saying It was never refunded!? & their manager JOE rather get smart on the phone then to help me understand why they even took my money without everything going through, & his reply was " every dealership will do this to you I don't know what you expect me to do " THEY ARE TRASH!! They told me 14 hours ago my money was on my card & it's still not!!!!!!! More
They trashed my credit I was recently in the market for a Forte, new or used, although I was expecting to only be able to buy used. I went to one Kia dealership before Monro I was recently in the market for a Forte, new or used, although I was expecting to only be able to buy used. I went to one Kia dealership before Monroeville, and they made a single hard inquiry into my credit and immediately told me I'd need a cosigner since my credit was mediocre. I'm younger, so I don't have much history. Their response was understandable, but I'm not in the position to have a cosigner, so I figured I'd try Monroeville Kia next, rather than settling for a used car dealership. Huge mistake. They strung me along, though I was upfront about my credit - they told me they'd be able to get me into a brand new car without a cosigner anyways, told me not to worry about anything, they would send my credit information to several possible lenders and they were certain they'd get a couple of good responses. They made me wait for almost two weeks before they told me they were sorry, but they would also need a cosigner and the best I could get was a several years old used car. Even worse, they had implied they would give the prospective lenders my history and score, rather than the lenders having to check, but this was not the case - I ended up having almost twenty hard credit inquiries hitting my reports. Twenty. The other Kia dealership I went to only needed one, but somehow Monroeville needed TWENTY? My already mediocre score was absolutely trashed, brought below 600, and I was getting demoralizing rejection letters for months. My score is going to take ages to recover from this. Monroeville Kia is deceptive and they'll lead you on. Unless you have unbelievably stellar credit and can take a huge hit from all the lenders they send your information to, don't bother. More

NIGHTMARE! I leased a Kia Sorento on August 12th. I traded in my dodge dart. We financed our new Kia under our company name. Apparently Monroeville Kia isn't se I leased a Kia Sorento on August 12th. I traded in my dodge dart. We financed our new Kia under our company name. Apparently Monroeville Kia isn't set up to lease vehicles on commercial accounts. They never told us this. That being the case, Monroeville Kia didn't know how to do the paper work so it's taken 2 months to process the paper work on their end. Since I am 8 months pregnant, I've asked them repeatedly to cancel the deal and give me back my dodge dart. The dodge dart that they have had in their procession for two months and have not made a payment on. My auto loan lender for the dart has been contacting me about late payments on the dart and charging me late fees. When we told Monroeville Kia about this they didn't care. The general manager did not care about my credit taking a hit for all of this, he didn't care about the added stress of this situation. When my husband pressed the issue on my credit taking a hit the general manager simply said "What do you care about her credit for, it's not your credit". When we asked why they hadn't paid the dart off the GM told us it was technically still in my name, yet they have the dart listed on the website for sale. When this fact was brought to his attention he original tried to lie and say the dart was not for sale on their website. Later when we provided proof, which was the printed ad from their website, he literally laughed and told us we signed over the dart to them and said there is nothing we can do about it. They finally got the paper work right, two months later and this is finally over with. I will NEVER buy another car from Monroeville Kia or a Kia in general. I suggest you save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. More

A woman called me within 15 minutes and asked if I'd like to make an appointment to do a test drive. We scheduled for Saturday, which was yesterday. My husband and I went to the Monroeville Kia dealership yesterday for our scheduled appointment. When we walked in there were two or three tables with people seated and working out deals. When we informed the girl at the front desk that we were there for our test drive appointment, she had absolutely no idea what we were talking about. She said, "Everyone is busy right now, but you can sit in the waiting area for the next available salesperson to get to you. It shouldn't take long and there's a TV." We were surprised, but just then a sales guy walked by and said he would help us in a few minutes if we'd be willing to wait. He suggested in the meantime that we could look at the Niro model in the showroom, we could get in and see the interior while we waited. We did so and another sales guy with slicked-back hair and lots of jewelry approached us and we deferred his help politely. The original guy was back in a few minutes. Other than the appointment issue, so far so good, right? When he got back, he said disgusted, "Sorry for the wait. We had a bunch of call-offs today. What were you looking for today?" We told him the EX or LX model Niro. He told us that the blue Niro outside was an EX with fewer options, and then asked if we wanted to see it. We told him yes. As we looked the vehicle over, he mentioned that the price was $26k. I mentioned that the website had several monthly deals advertised that we should be eligible for receiving (I read them carefully online - how accurate they were, who knows). He said, "I've been on vacation for a week. I don't know what the specials are for now. Let me check, but I think what you're talking about is some discount program with Uber. I don't think that's for you." NUMBER 1: When you (sales guy) hit the floor, you should know the xxxx sales every day. NUMBER 2: He never asked me about my relation to Uber. He just assumed it wasn't for me. He went back inside and came out saying, "Tthe price is $26k and that's all I can do for you." NUMBER 3: xx!!!!! Now for the prelude to the test drive. He asks if we really want to do a test drive. My husband respectfully replied, "We'd like to if you have the time." Sales guy's response? "Well, I don't, but if you make it worth my while and buy it, then I will." No smile or joking, just that same trodden down frown and overarching frustration. My husband replied, "Well, that depends on how much you are willing to work with us." Sales guy said "Okay," and went back inside again with license, etc to prep for the test drive. We started the drive and there was no additional information about the vehicle volunteered by Sales guy. He sat there silently unless I prompted him to talk about the vehicle. Instead he talked about his 7 kids. NUMBER 4: I don't respond well to the idea that I am somehow responsible for his kids through purchasing a car. Way to manipulate, buddy. We finished the drive and Sales guy said, "Ok, well, my people from this morning are back. I have to talk with them and rip someone a new a**hole. I'll get back to you in a few minutes." We waited... again. After 10 minutes, he got back to us and my husband asked for numbers for purchase/ lease, 60 month and 72 month terms, and the monthly payments for these options so we could decide if this would work with our budget. Sales guy left to "run the numbers" and went into an all glass room with a bunch of guys who were talking. No calculating could be seen. On his desk was one picture of one girl - I'm guessing his daughter - must be the favored from among the 7 kids. There were no computers at the sales desks, not even a calculator, and no clocks on the walls and as we waited, and waited, AND waited. We realized that this guy did not want to work for our sale. He did not want to help us, work with us, or deal with us in any way. Why did I conclude this? Apart from the obvious lack of informing us about this expensive product we were clearly interested in learning about, on the test drive he talked about himself, his past work experience, and the other "xxxx on wheels" hybrids out there. NUMBER 5: No cussing during the sales pitch. Do not discuss yourself. Teach about the product and focus on the non-verbal cues from your customers. Lastly, and my particular last straw. The sales guy with slicked back hair and jewelry was helping an older woman while we were waiting for our Sales guy to return. After a few minutes he said loud enough to hear, "Well, we can't do that. Sorry we can't help you." She got up to leave and made some comment we couldn't hear. He replied to her, "I know. That's okay, sweetheart." NUMBER 6: GAG!!!!!! Women have names, too. I'd bet about $26k that none of them are named sweetheart. He knew her name, too. It was disgraceful, dismissive, and nauseating. I will never, ever go back there. It was everything, and I mean EVERYTHING horrible about buying a car. This was not even the worst trip to a car dealership I've had, but this was a SURE THING for them when we arrived there and they still managed to mess it up. Negative five stars for this horrible place. BTW, I am not mentioning our sales guy's name because the entire workplace had such low morale, I actually pitied him. I wish him luck in finding a better job, b/c it's clear to me that there HAS TO be a better job than that. More

I would NEVER recommend this Kia dealer! If you have your heart set on a Kia, drive the extra miles and go to Greensburg- especially if you're a woman buying by yourself. This sales staff is If you have your heart set on a Kia, drive the extra miles and go to Greensburg- especially if you're a woman buying by yourself. This sales staff is absolutely awful! I went in there with down payment in hand, facts and figures worked out, car picked out, and credit was fine. The salesman was horrible, tried to talk me into something I didn't want, told me I was "a fish on a hook" and "couldn't let me just walk out the door that easy".... initially when they took my keys to check out my car, they didn't give them back , which allowed for my salesman to try more of his tactics by bringing me cars to sit in that I did not want to purchase, I had to tell the salesman I wanted to leave over 4 times, and repeatedly to give me my keys back, etc. I finally got out of there by actually yelling to give me my keys back. I will NEVER go here again or recommend even turning your head to look in their general direction as you pass by on the highway. More
