First, the sales experience. I have bought my share of cars - and the salesman (Phillip Long) was one of the most knowledgeable, service-oriented individuals I have ever had the pleasure of buying a car f cars - and the salesman (Phillip Long) was one of the most knowledgeable, service-oriented individuals I have ever had the pleasure of buying a car from. He knew BMW and Alpina like he had been selling it since he left the cradle. Impressive. HOWEVER - the mark of a great dealership, to me, is the service department - and this is where Momentum has REALLY shined. Phui Bong has been my service advisor since Day One. I was introduced to him by Phillip Long - and he set the expectations pretty high, in terms of personal service, attention to detail, and so forth. Well, I'm happy to report that Phong Bui has totally exceeded any and all expectations: total knowledge of the vehicle, attention to detail, service, punctuality, follow-up, courtesy - everything. TOP NOTCH - every step of the way. More
I'll start off by saying that the customer service at this dealership's Service Dept is second to none. I had limited contact with the desk that receives you, just what was needed, but it was a pleasant this dealership's Service Dept is second to none. I did have extensive contact with the person coordinating the repair with me, CJ Broll, however. The contact was extensive because the work done on my 325i needed some revisiting; the quality of the initial work done by the mechanics/technicians was bad, honestly. I still rate the quality of work as "4-Good" because they ultimately got it right. On the road to getting it right, CJ went above and beyond to make it right. I understand mechanics can miss things, it happens to all of us. . .we're all human. But what isn't a given is the customer service behind the work, even AFTER your keys have been returned to you. Not only did CJ make it right, but followed up with calls to make sure the car was running great. Customer service AND Friendliness I rate a 5. Again, my experience was pleasant when I got there. The 5 rating is really based on my experience with CJ. Quality of Work, is a 4. Again, the work on my car had some loose ends and the car began to misfire. I took it back and the work was fixed. The work was preceded by good diagnosis of the issue, so a 4 is a good assessment, IMO. Had I not had to return the car for service, I'd rated them a 5. For the overall experience, I wrestled with a 4 or a 5. Having to go back to get the car re-fixed was a hassle, but the extent to which CJ went to rectify the problem, and followed up with me after the fact was so above and beyond . . . Ultimately I have to say it was great. Again, mistakes happen . . .it is a given. Great customer service isn't a given. So, based on that, I'd say my overall experience is a 5. For price, again this is only for the service department's work, is a 4. Their prices are pretty standard, I 'd guess. Most of the time, the work was covered by the extended warranty. These cars kinda sell themselves, to be honest. The only question is WHERE you'd buy a BMW from. This dealership isn't the closest one where I live, but I'm buying my next BMW from these guys based solely on how well they take care of you. So while CJ isn't in sales, I guess you can say he's sold a car for this dealership in the near future. More

I bought my M3 in this dealership since 2009 and I have been very much satisfied with both the sales and the after-sales engagement and service of this dealership. I have had my X5 serviced with Phong since I purchased it. He has aleays given me Prompt and Friendly Service. The results from the shop were aleays as expected in a timely manner. Momentum BMW has to be the worst BMW service facility not only in Houston but probably the whole country. In what has turned out to be a nightmare experience, we find it shocking that they can get away wi only in Houston but probably the whole country. In what has turned out to be a nightmare experience, we find it shocking that they can get away with this despite being an insurance-paid claim service. From day 1, we had a bad experience with Momentum. Never once was a written estimate provided to us on WHAT was wrong, HOW long it will take to fix and WHEN can we expect to get our car back. Under Texas law, repair shops do not have to provide written estimates, and these guys absolutely take disadvantage of this and abuse hapless consumers to the hilt. We only took our car here on recommendation of the insurance company. We asked if they had BMW certified mechanics to which both the insurance, and the facility replied yes. But the very moment the car was in their shop, things turned south. Initially took way too long to repair the original tire and rim damage. Then said it could have affected rear axle/rim/strut and that needs to be checked out. This whole thing took 2 weeks. Then they thought it had chassis and body damage, and maybe the frame had shifted. Parts and jigs were ordered from somewhere the car was hoisted up and taken apart and reassembled. But it wouldn't align so off we go again. This time the engine was what was coming in the way. So took it apart all over again. By this time, we are already past 6 weeks without our car. And they claimed they do body and frame damage routinely and follow the exact procedure, YET THEY DON'T KNOW HOW, WHEN AND IN WHAT SEQUENCE ITS ALL PUT TOGETHER AGAIN. THEY GO BY TRIAL AND ERROR!!! It is unbelievable. And thus the reason for not giving estimates, making faulty claims and not honoring their own word again and again. We thought such experiences only happened to "other people" - WRONG. When it comes to repairing your high-end import, be very careful and check references before taking it in. The lost time, the aggravation, the lies, the bogus estimates and whole rigmarole are just not worth it. Get a second opinion on repairs, make sure you let them know you will take your car elsewhere if they fail to deliver in a reasonable amount of time, and ACT ON IT. Let insurance know that you WILL complain to BBB, Texas DMV, Texas Attorney General and other consumer protection agencies. It takes just one bad dealership to muck the name of a great car company, and these guys simply take it for granted. You will NOT have such a bad experience at your average Honda, Ford, or Toyota dealership, and THAT IS A GUARANTEE. More
