The "IT "I was trying to fill was, I drive a 2003 civic that i purchased privately two years ago, it has 127,000 miles and I had no intention of trading it. However I have a 2000 Malibu with 223,000 that my son uses at school. The Malibu has cost us 10,000 to drive it 111000 miles and it is need of a repair. I really dont want to spend any more money on the Malibu. Although it still rides great, the gas mileage is not that great for a kid who takes short trips each day. Maybe 19 mpg. The goal was to get myself a car that gets decent mpg ( better than average), pass off the civic to my college enrolled son. My first look was to drive a newer civic, and James was kind enough to put me in a car that I described 2012 civic, leather and a roof, We drove it, it had 63,000 miles, wasnt certified, but I like the car quite a bit, However at the end of drive I asked him, "Id really like to drive a larger wheelbase car that provides a "bigger" ride like the Malibu that recently had new shocks installed all around and frankly is still a comfortable car to be in. James Listened and didn't hesitate a heartbeat when I asked to look at the used inventory of Accords. We looked at miles and features and price and he tagged a 2012 Accord, certified, with only 28,000 miles. No leather, however it had a roof and was certified. It was priced 4,000 more than the civic that I liked. At 52, when you drive alot, you feel the difference in a wheelbase, and in light of this crazy winter we had where frost heaves where alive everywhere, you feel it. I drove the Accord and well, felt the difference in wheelbase comfort. He didnt pressure me at all, I left, returning the next day with a 50.00 bill as a deposit and asked him to give me a sales invoice., Lindsay steps in. She communicated with me told me how we have 17 lenders however I knew I had credit issues and thought my first best bet would be to apply at my credit union. They didnt like my "experience", came back to Lindsay that afternoon told her I was denied and asked her not to run with certain lenders. She listened like a Champion. She called me not many hours later and said you are approved. It gets better. She also appraised my of a warranty (bumper to bumper) for 100,000 miles. The price was outstanding and low and behold, Im in a car, warranted to 128,000 or five more years. All that took place on Thursday night through Friday and on Monday evening I picked up the Accord and drove home. Never once did I feel taken, rushed, no holding keys, etc. They let me lead and when I needed them to lead they did. Can you ever feel so comfortable buying a car? Never in my day have I .
