I'm retired after nearly 30 years from a Government Purchasing job, requiring me to negotiate contracts & deal daily with contractors, suppliers and 40 some Departments requiring commodities and service contracts to deliver services to County residents. Nuff said about that! First time I've dealt with Northstar Chevrolet, but I have always bought GM Trucks locally from other dealers. The attractive rebates on 2015 GM trucks prompted me to look at what Northstar had on their lot. Both "Brendon Serritella" (The $$ guy) and "Scott Groff" (Sales) were an incredible breath of fresh air compared to the usual "Car Salesman" approach. My trade-in was a low mileage GMC and Brendon gave me top $$, plus "gimmes" that @ MSRP were worth close to a grand. The actual deal was unbelievably smooth, fast and efficient to say the least. Scott guided me through the process after Brendon & I agreed on the $$ end of the deal and respected my wish to skip the normal "new truck" orientation (after owning 8 to 10 GM trucks I knew I'd figure it out and had little time to spare that day). The truck I purchased is a beauty and I look forward to working with their Service Department during my ownership period, which is usually about five years or so. Never having dealt with Northstar Chevy, I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. Beginning with our salesperson, Matt Trevits, to the manager, Brandon and the entire crew, my wife and I were well taken care of, and were made to feel comfortable and relaxed in what could have been a very stressful situation. Matt was great in working with us to get the best deal possible, and put me into a 2016 Colorado that has been the hit of me and my family. Great job to all, and I would definitely recommend Northstar Chevy to my friends and family!! More

Terrible from the Start My Experience at North Star Chevrolet was terrible from the start. An issue arose concerning my trade in allowance. Attempting to resolve this issue My Experience at North Star Chevrolet was terrible from the start. An issue arose concerning my trade in allowance. Attempting to resolve this issue over the phone turned out to be a major hassle. When you call North Star it’s near impossible to speak to the same person twice. Causing confusion and frustration as a customer, after the issue was finally resolved I came to pick the truck up and sign paperwork. Come to find out the financing numbers were different than what I was told over the phone. (Trying to add 5 months onto my loan in order to cover up an insurance policy I was lied to about). After the paperwork was done and I got in my truck the check engine light was on. In my opinion there is no excuse for the check engine light to be on in a brand new car the day I go to pick it up. The next day when they were able to get the check engine light off. I asked what kind of compensation they could offer for all of the frustration. I was told if I fill out the customer survey with a perfect score, they would give me a free tank of gas. Not only is that a joke for compensation, but extremely unprofessional. The only reason I bought a truck here was because they had the exact one I wanted in stock. If it all possible avoid North Star Chevy like the plague. More

absolutely horrible experience. DO NOT trust Northstar chevrolet. When i bought my car in 2013 i was signed up for the free tire program and was told i would get free tires if i got DO NOT trust Northstar chevrolet. When i bought my car in 2013 i was signed up for the free tire program and was told i would get free tires if i got all my service done at northstar. Well apparently the service department declining my front end alignment for me voided this program so now i will not be receiving my tires. I live in Massachusetts and come to clifton park to get a 50 dollar oil change that takes 4 hours, why would i decline this service? They are a bunch of scam artists. I wouldn't recommend Northstar to anyone. This is the worst experience I've ever had. More
