Mrs. Holman and the sales manager went out of their way to put me in a new vehicle. I have bought my last 6 new vehicles from NorthStar and have always been satisfied and happy to deal with this dealership and personnel. I have had 3 different sales people for the 6 new vehicles, each salesperson was exceptional so I assume this is typical of NorthStar personnel. More
I've bought several new cars and trucks from NorthStar, gotten "THE" best prices in the area without conflict or last minute added costs or figure juggling as I have had with other dealers. I've been buying new vehicles for myslef, family and friends for 40+ years, this is the only dealer that has never tried to turn the screws on the deal to squeeze out more money. Through the years, in the past, I have had absolutely terrible experiences with dealers and sales people. In recent times have always shopped around coming away with a sour sensation, dislike or worse, mistrust. Basically, it all depends on who you get for a salesperson and if the manager is willing to be up front with the deal you want. In order to know where you stand, you also need to do your homework on figures. Perhaps when they see you are serious and know what you are doing they deal with you differently? My experiences with 5 new vehicles from NorthStar has been very positive. The staff (mechanical and sales) are very friendly and accomodating. I am now looking into a new truck or an SUV for myself, having just bought a new Impala for my wife. I recently tried to talk to Salisbury Chevrolet (before they folded up) as I had heard they were doing poorly. I have had angry disputes with them in the past but sales managers and personnel come and go in the car business so I figured maybe I could help out with a purchase or at least see what the amosphere was. I kid you not, the way I was dealt with was even worse than angry! It is no wonder they were forced to close their doors, only a sucker would buy from people with an "almighty, you need me" attitude. No salesman is worth what they were asking, they simply do not do THAT much work to require an ourageous fee over dealer cost. Now comes the kicker, I sent one nephew over for a new truck and he came back upset because they wouldn't give him any where near the deal I got but he also did not want me to go with him. The other nephew asked for the saleman I had, told him I sent him for the same deal, and he got it...even the same color! He was well satisfied. Once again, it all depends on the salesperson. If they want $600 to 1,000 commission over delaer cost, then you have the wrong "elitist" salesperson. Most of us are just common folks and can barely afford these luxuries of trouble free motoring. let those willing to pay more go to sales people that expect more and "think" they are worth more. Personally, I have to scrape to buy a new vehicle and am not big on throwing money away for someone else to burn on their lifestyle that I am unwilling to support. My only gripe for NorthStar is that I don't like their waiting room, kinda cool on the floor in winter but I'm not going to complain much because maybe the vehicle price would go up accordingly, haha! I get my vehicle serviced at Northstar Chevrolet consistently for the past several years. I have everything from oil changes, to larger work done and feel they did an excellent job of informing me consistently for the past several years. I feel completely safe to drive my 3 year old daughter knowing that Northstar Chevrolet does the service. More
I went to buy a used car and found one at Northstar. I put a down payment on the car and they sold it out from under me. Their financial person told me there was no way she could get me a loan even when I put a down payment on the car and they sold it out from under me. It was horrible service and I will never go there again. This business is why people don't trust car dealers. More

I was in the market for a vehicle for myself and I had did some shopping around. I had went to Northstar Chevy because of their reputation and found out that their customer service and staff far exceeded did some shopping around. I had went to Northstar Chevy because of their reputation and found out that their customer service and staff far exceeded their already great reputation. They were able to work with me regarding my then personal vehicle and then showed a valued intrest in putting me in the perfect vehicle. Their follow up and attention to detail must be commended. I have always been reluctant in the purchasing of a vehicle in the past due to a bad experience but in dealing with the people at Northstar Chevy has changed my attitude. I went to Northstar and was not impressed by their approach. Very high pressure and they did not like the fact that I had researched the pricing for the car I was interested in. I went their before I went to the dealer I usually do business with because they had the exact car I wanted in stock. The manager did not seem at all interested in earning my business. I ended up going back to my normal dealer and making a deal on a similiar vehicle. Steve Albany More
