This should have been a pretty routine experience. Key phrase here is should have been. A simple spare key and fob programming. Turns out to be anything but simple. When the key that was purchased, and cut from their parts counter as well as a fob that was purchased and programmed by their own techs would not start the car. Their assumption was that this was my fault because the key they cut only unlocks the car, and I should have been aware of that. Well if that was explained to me originally I would have just walked out and looked elsewhere. After 2 trips to the dealership a 2nd key was cut and the fob reprogrammed for the second time, I finally have a spare key that actually starts the car. They did try to charge me an extra $45, but I am pretty sure my sunny disposition and vocal tone helped get that taken care of. This is probably a classic example of miscommunication, and most of the people I dealt with there in person acted professional and courteous. That being said I will not be back to Mohawk Chevrolet any time soon. More

They were good, but seemed in no hurry. I did tell them I didn't have a lot of time because I had to get ready for work. The individual went through everything in the car. I ended up being one minute late for work, which isn't a big deal, but he should have listened to me. Do I make him late for work? (I mean this figuratively). It seems like the evening we first looked at the cars we waited around while she got the managers permission for whatever and nobody seemed to know where the cars were or didn't pass it on. She should have gone right to it. This appears to be a lack of communications. We didn't have anywhere to go that time, but were tired and wanted to go home. We also didn't need a grand tour of the place. It was interesting, but not necessary. I feel the experience could have been moved along quicker. Otherwise it was an excellent experience. So far I'm very pleased with our vehicle. Thanks much! More
