Here’s I had a terrible experience with Modesto Toyota when returning my leased truck. I contacted Toyota to set up a lease return appointment and was under the impression that everything was in or Toyota when returning my leased truck. My wife and I had just gone through surrogacy and welcomed our baby a week before, so I trusted the process would go smoothly. When I arrived, I handed over my keys, and they inspected the truck, saying everything looked good. They then checked the value and informed me that it would be a wash—meaning I wouldn’t owe anything. Based on that, I left believing everything was finalized. Fast forward six months, and I receive a letter stating that my lease was turned in four months early, and I now owe $2,700—despite my paperwork stating a $0 balance. Confused, I contacted Toyota customer service, who advised me to file a complaint. The representative even mentioned that Modesto Toyota should have at least informed me that my lease wasn’t actually up. Had I known, I would have gladly taken my truck and returned later. I then reached out to Modesto Toyota, where a representative said she would look into it and call me back. Five days passed—no call. I had to follow up myself, only to be told that they "couldn’t see when my lease was up unless I asked." Seriously? They had my account pulled up to assess trade-in value but somehow couldn’t see that my lease wasn’t finished? That’s either incompetence or dishonesty. The lack of communication and accountability is beyond frustrating. Their customer service is awful—they simply don’t care. As a follower of Jesus, I was raised to treat people with honesty, integrity, and respect. Unfortunately, Modesto Toyota does not seem to share those values, and this experience was extremely disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. More

Received a text to book a service for a key fab & were told it would be a 6 hour wait. Finally get a call that there is no key fab for our car & they don't know why we brought the car in. Did receive a text immediately after drop off from the sales team wanting to buy our car so not sure if that was their way of getting us in the door. Completely wasted our day & travel time for absolutely no reason. Did not let us know when the car was dropped off, did not call us immediately, worst service I have ever seen. We didn't buy the car from Modesto because they did not seem to care to want to help us & now I see the service dept is not much different. More
