Took vehicle for oil change, tire rotation and car inspection and a week later the engine blew on my ASU child so we got the vehicle towed to a garage in Boone where diagnostics determined too much oil put in vehicle or forgot to put oil back-in after the fact due to faulty oil change. 4 weeks later and dealership still doesn’t want to help, Toyota Corp doesn’t want to help. Terrible dealership and I’ve been a Toyota customer for decades. Do not waste your time going to this dealership. DO NOT! Horrible General manager, horrible parts and service director. Horrible! More
Traveling from out of town and noticed two tires had a slow leak. Brought it into modern Toyota of Boone and they said I had a nail in one of my tires. They added that because I have 4 Wheel Drive and tha slow leak. Brought it into modern Toyota of Boone and they said I had a nail in one of my tires. They added that because I have 4 Wheel Drive and that the nail was in the sidewall that we needed to buy 4 new tires. Our Rav 4 is not 4 wheel drive. They also added that we needed a filter that we knew was very recently changed. We took it down the road for a second opinion and there is no nail at all. What crooks that try and take advantage of out of towners and women. Avoid at all costs. More
Started an online estimate for a trade that made you take a lot of time downloading pictures and then asks you for a password so you can get the estimate. Car was due for an inspection and daughter took it to the dealer. Was charged $63 for a light bulb replacement plus the $35 inspection fee. Negligent Frame Inspection Modern Toyota of Boone negligently inspected the frame on my 2007 Toyota Tacoma. I took my Tacoma to the dealership to have the frame inspected and i Modern Toyota of Boone negligently inspected the frame on my 2007 Toyota Tacoma. I took my Tacoma to the dealership to have the frame inspected and if it had been properly inspected, it would have revealed corrosion that would have been covered by an extended manufacturer’s warranty at that time. Due to the negligent inspection I did not discover the rusted frame until after the expiration of the manufacturer’s extended warranty and they have consistently refused to be of assistance. I would advise people to avoid this dealership. More

Then once I got there he switched the pricing and added $8000 to the purchase price. Sales Manager Michael Lyall then added to the ruse by trying to "save" the deal. When I showed him the details of the text exchange even he asked Michael why he sent the offer he had no intention of sticking to. I had a detailed phone conversation in addition to the text evidence verifying the offer, and Mark Burchette lied about it to his Sales Manager. More

Time for an upgrade It was time to retire my 2012 and I wanted to get back into an SUV type vehicle. I did my research and a Toyota Highlander was one of the choices at t It was time to retire my 2012 and I wanted to get back into an SUV type vehicle. I did my research and a Toyota Highlander was one of the choices at the top of my list. Modern had the trim I was most interested in but didn't necessarily think I'd find (SE Nightshade)... only problem is I found it at 9:30 pm, the dealership was 3 1/2 hours away and I had to work until noon the next two days. Through their chat service, I let them know of my keen intetest in this vehicle. Someone from Modern contacted me promptly in the AM, I decided "what the heck, let's do this", reserved the vehicle, and took off at 1:00 pm. From the time I walked in to the time I left, it was a great experience. No pressure, prompt service, plenty of time alone with my spouse and the vehicle to decide if it was right. Mark met us at the door and was wonderful throughout the whole process. And Laurel who handled the financing side was amazing, too. Well worth the 3 1/2 hour drive to purchase MY vehicle and would definitely go the distance to them again for my next Toyota... or Subaru (they have those, too)!! More
Buying my Lexus with Chip was fast, quick, easy and AWESOME! I walked into the dealership already interested in a Lexus SUV they had for sale. Chip Conley asked if I needed any help and I said I was interested i I walked into the dealership already interested in a Lexus SUV they had for sale. Chip Conley asked if I needed any help and I said I was interested in looking at a Lexus that was at one of their other stores. He said absolutely!!!!, did not ask "can you afford it" or "what do you want your payment to be" or anything like that. He was interested in Helping ME First and talking numbers later. That is hard to find in a salesmen. The Lexus was up at the dealership the next day. He got a perfectly great trade in value on my van (exactly what we were hoping for actually) while I test drove the suv. I came back and THEN we talked about numbers. I got the payment I was looking for and the interest rate was almost a full point lower than I thought I could get. The Finance Manager was amazing and she had all the paperwork ready. Easy to talk numbers to and it was just sign and go. It took a total of 45 min from "Hi again" to driving off the lot. Not one of those 3-5 hour long sales trips. So lets see here..... Awesome Salesman....Check! Great no haggle price....Check! Great Finance Manager....Check! Fast, Easy, No Time Wasted...Check! Great Buying Experience ........... DONE!!!!! More
