Bought a used Honda Pilot in Sept 2022. Had an issue with the amount of tread left on the tires and that the service light came on 3 days after I bought the car. I left a VM message for the used car sales manager...who never called me back. I left a comment on their Contact Me section of their website...no one ever reached out. I filed a complaint with the BBB and finally had a VM from the GM. I returned the call. I left 3 VMs over 3 days before getting a return call. He said he would have someone from his service department call and set up a time for me to bring the car back in. It's been over a week and I'm still waiting for that call. Will it ever come???? More
One of the worst experiences of car shopping. The salesperson acted if we were bothering him by being there. He showed no interest in doing business and was not friendly at all. I would have put zero stars if possible! I never right bad reviews but this place is awful. My A/C stopped working last week. I called Modern Hyundai. They said they had no appointments left but I could come on for a walk-in appointment it would just take a little longer. So I drove 40 minutes to the dealership. When I got out of my car at the service area there were no other customers in there at the time and about 6 people behind kiosks. I looked at each one nobody acknowledges me although they knew I was there. Finally an older man asks me if I have an appointment. I say no and tell him about my problem the phone call. He said there is no way they could help me that day and the answering people should not have told me to come in. He says yo look at A/C takes hours on a machine. Later he says the procedure doesn’t take long just a long wait ahead of me. Which is it? Anyway, it becomes clear he has no interest in helping me. He didn’t even care I was told yo come. I tell him I’m leaving and will find a different Hyundai deal ship to deal with in the future. He says ok, there is nothing I can do and tell me by. He offered nothing for troubles coming there or to schedule appointment for future. When I left I called a couple other places. My second call told me to come on to their shop. I went and was in and out in 1 and 1/2 hours. They even offered me a free oil change for a google review. I will not be going back to Modern Hyundai. They don’t care about people. Worst service ever. Truthfully dislike leaving reviews like this since no ones perfect. However, given the facts, this was a out of state, long distance sale and it took nearly 5 months to receive a vehicle title, yes, 5 mo ones perfect. However, given the facts, this was a out of state, long distance sale and it took nearly 5 months to receive a vehicle title, yes, 5 months from point of sale until the title was received! These delays were not disclosed by the dealerships sales staff at any point in time prior to being paid in full for the vehicle, no lien or loan. Along this very unfortunate journey we made many calls and emails to Modern, and non responses from their team consistently occured time after time including Moderns sales rep, sales manager, finance manager, lead title rep, and even the GM. Worst yet, we live in a state where we couldn't obtain new 30 day temp license plate renewals and Modern stranded our family for weeks without family transportation since their temp plates would expire and we would have to beg them for $10 renewal tags every 30 days. This went on for months. We finally received a response only after seeking assistance from the BBB. The GM finally replied, albeit through their attorney, then he ignored us once more. End result was the title finally arrived, guess that's all that really matters. Word of caution to those considering a long distance purchase. The dealer can blame covid, or anything else, but the fact is multiple staff ignored our many reasonable requests for help along the way, that's cultural customer service issues internal to Modern no matter how its presented. It would have been basic, 099, customer service if they would have even considered offering our family a nominal discount for the many, many hours of stress and hassle their untrained staff caused us, but again...if the GM can't comprehend basic client service skills why would anyone beneath them understand or value such primitive qualities? All in all a ZERO rating. Fyi, glad to modify our rating Modern if your dealership cares to provide our family a reasonable refund, otherwise no interest in modification of this rating. Thank you and if genuinely interested in making this right don't post a random Modern Sales Team here comment saying you care for PC-PR, when in fact we all know you really do not, post a email address for us to respond to, or YOU go see James Welborne, he has our address and can make things right, thank you. We will plan on updating this and all other ratings online if you opt to deposit PC-PR here without a real response of value to our family so other would be customers can see through the PC-PR Modern nonsense before they waste valuable time, energy, and resources dealing with your people in good faith. On 05/17/2021, my 84 years old father took my car into Modern Hyandai because my car needed some repairs. Needless to say, my father was told that a part needed to be ordered to fix my car. This is where my experience became a nightmare, for several weeks my father called and spoke with customer service representatives and the manager to no avail. My father was given one excuse after another about ordering the part. On July 7, 2021, my father dropped off my car because allegedly after repeatedly calling about when the part would arrive, they stated that my father could drop my car off because they had the part to fix it. They provided my father with a rental car and shared that my car would be repaired in one week. When my father returned a week later, my father was told that they would call me when my car was repaired. Today is July 28, 2021, my father have not heard anything about the status as to when his car would be repaired or what the actual issue is with fixing his car. My father does not understand why after 2 months, his car is still not repaired. Anxiously awaiting for his car to be repaired, W.B. More
