For a dealer...very fair I'm not really a dealer-service kind of guy. But I had a credit for service at Mitchell, so I went in for a 50K mile oil change and tire rotation. W I'm not really a dealer-service kind of guy. But I had a credit for service at Mitchell, so I went in for a 50K mile oil change and tire rotation. Was told it would be under an hour; in fact, the process took well over two hours. However, the service rep (Samantha) was so apologetic, she comped me the entire service visit. In truth, I was cynical enough to doubt the original estimate and had come prepared for a longer wait than estimated, so in this case, I was perfectly happy with the resolution. So... I guess I can't vouch for their speed....but I CAN vouch for their desire to satisfy the customer. More

They fit us in right away and were able to fix the problem with the fuel injector right away. The service was covered under an extended warranty that we did not expect. All communication with the service department was clear, instructive and very courteous! More

When the evaluation was completed, I went to the service desk to get my paperwork. The Service Tech, Jaime, was assisting an older woman with her paperwork and I was so impressed with her patience, kindness and sweetness as she help the customer complete her transaction. I told her so when it was my turn. I've been a customer of The Mitchell Auto Group for years and the Service Dept. usually "takes it on the chin", but this was a terrific example of caring customer service and being a good human being! Everyone I dealt with over the phone was upfront and questions were answered without hesitation. Once I made a visit to the store the staff was welcoming and the purchase experience was smooth. I made two trips to the dealer; one to drive the truck and work out the deal and the other visit was to pick it up. I live 3 hours away and did not hesitate or regret that they are so far away. Granted they had the right vehicle but the way they handle a transaction from the start to finish makes the trip worth it. More
I knew very little about Volkswagens when I went to Mitchell, but I was looking for a convertible and was interested in the Eos. The first salesman I met, George Goggi, spent more than an hour with me Mitchell, but I was looking for a convertible and was interested in the Eos. The first salesman I met, George Goggi, spent more than an hour with me test driving the car and going over all of its finer points. He was extremely knowledgeable and a great advocate for Volkswagens in particular. His efforts really led me to consider the car seriously and it ended up on my short list, and then it came down to choosing between the Eos and the Audi S5. Unfortunately, George got ill and had to take some time off, but he referred me to Joe Cabrera (who handles the Internet sales usually, I think). I did the actual hard negotiating with Joe and he was very easy to deal with and answered all my final questions on options and prices so I could make the final decision. I thought it was especially nice of him to step in for George and act as if I had been his customer all along; I felt comfortable dealing with him even though I had not met him in person. I finally decided to go with the Eos, and Joe was the one responsible for finishing up the transaction. He also took a long time with us the day of delivery to explain the features so we could get off to a good start with the car. A couple of days after getting the car, I misplaced the entire set of owners' manuals and Joe moved heaven and earth to get me a new set! I would whole heartedly recommend this dealership and these gentlemen! More

Obvi Buyer Beware Bought a CPO 2011 Golf. Car was not detailed. Windows were disgusting. Hair everywhere. Cleaned windshield to discover scratches. Obviously why it wasn’t cleaned. The day of delivery the salesman was trying to clean up the windows since the detail shop didn’t do its job. Missing trim on vent. Cut in door panel. I am not sure what constitutes a CPO car but obviously the standards aren’t very high. Discovered the traction control button doesn’t work and a Bent rim. Mitchell took the car for 4 days and replaced the windshield and traction control button. Bent rim was balanced and door panel was made worse. Dealers slogan is Your road to total satisfaction. Yeah not so much. More
I have purchased several vehicles from Mitchell's, including my 2012 Touareg TDI. I tow regularly with the vehicle, and after a recent service (which included a firmware flash) my trailer lights stop including my 2012 Touareg TDI. I tow regularly with the vehicle, and after a recent service (which included a firmware flash) my trailer lights stopped working. After checking all the fuses, I went to the dealership to see if they could determine the issue. I was already late for a trip to Maine, and they reluctantly looked at the vehicle after making my sit around for an hour. They couldn't fix it so I had to rent a vehicle to tow my trailer. I left the vehicle with them the following week & they replaced a fuse (in an unmarked location on the passenger side of the vehicle). They blamed an adapter in my vehicle that I don't use for my trailer, and said it wouldn't be covered under warranty (Even though the truck is 14 months old and under 36k miles). They then did me a big favor and only charged my $110! 1/2 of what they said I owed! To change a 50¢ fuse! I can't imagine how they treat "customers" that bought there $50k vehicle somewhere else! 2.5 hr service turned in 1 1/2 days due to there failure to install parts properly and their mechanic said the car was all set I went out to start it and none of the controls they installed worked. They wer to install parts properly and their mechanic said the car was all set I went out to start it and none of the controls they installed worked. They were more worried about whether I returned their car back with a full tank of gas then they were about the fact their mechanic failed to fix my car properly and I only had to take their car because of their failure to fix my car. Then they blamed VW for their mechanic not knowing how to fix car properly. Does not excuse the fact that mechanic did not check car before saying it was all set if he did he would have found nothing worked. have no faith in there service dept. More
