We purchased a 2008 Toyota Avalon in early 2009. Every effort was made in the sales process to meet the needs of my wife and I; in color (Dark Blue), gas economy, and features. We have taken the vehicle to Bob Richards Toyota since purchase in early 2009. Each service experience was pleasant, courteous, and professional. All service requirements were met at each visit and the team always provided feedback on special needs. We have paid off the loan for our car, but I plan to continue with the exceptional service provided by the Bob Richards Toyota team. There is or was a poster in their waiting room stating something like "there is no best only better." This indicates to me that the team continually evaluates their performance and looks for ways to improve. I wish I could recall the names of service technicians, but too many years and visits. I carried my 2007 Camry in for service earlier this year and it was two quarts low in oil. After thoroughly checking the vehicle for leaks and finding none, I was told to return this vehicle once it had 150 and it was two quarts low in oil. After thoroughly checking the vehicle for leaks and finding none, I was told to return this vehicle once it had 1500 more miles and let them check my oil again. I returned the vehicle on Tuesday May 7 2013 and the service adviser checked my oil and found it was low again. After going in two times and talking to the Service manager, the adviser came back and told me that a few Camrys like mine had been having problems like this due to faulty rings. These guys put me in a loaner car and repaired my car by replacing the pistons and rings and I received my car back on Wednesday May 8 2013 fully repaired at no cost to me. Toyota picked up the bill for the repairs even though this was a used car when I purchased it and I had owned it for over a year thanks to the Service folks at Bob Richards Toyota. This dealership will sell lots of cars because of their great customer service and care after the purchase. More

Purchased a new Tacoma and was impressed with salesman (Tommy) and the other sales and management staff. Tried all over csra to get a decent deal and I can tell you not even to waste your time with the ot (Tommy) and the other sales and management staff. Tried all over csra to get a decent deal and I can tell you not even to waste your time with the other dealerships around here because they seem to use the same cookie cutter approach to sales using old fashioned car sales techniques. The general manager at Bob Richards is awesome. Hope to trade once a year there from here on out. Enjoyed the entire experience. More

James Fuller was our salesman, and his fairness made our car-buying experience pleasant and positive. Bob Richards Toyota was our first stop in our Tundra search, and after visits to and research into five other dealerships, we went back to James and bought our car from him. He honored the price he had written down the first day. Working with other dealerships in Augusta, Columbia, and Greenville showed us that Bobs Richards Toyota and our salesman were definitely the fairest and most honest dealership in our area. We love our new truck, and we plan to head right back to James when we need another new car. More
After it was clear that Bob Richards Toyota dealership couldn't get the car I wanted, they promised to refund my $500 credit card deposit within a few days. 2 weeks later as I was preparing for deploymen couldn't get the car I wanted, they promised to refund my $500 credit card deposit within a few days. 2 weeks later as I was preparing for deployment, I had to file a complaint with my bank as it still hadn't been refunded and no one from the dealership would talk to me or return my calls. The bank told me that Bob Richards refused to refund the money for 30 days. Very sleazy operation and I will never buy from them. I'm just glad I got out without more problems. In the meantime, they told me that Toyota has decided NOT to ship any more red cars to the southeast and will only ship as far as Texas from now on, so it's going to be virtually impossible to get any Toyota model in any of their red colors. Nice going Toyota. And I still don't have my deposit back! Way to take care of your military members! More

My wife and I were visiting car dealers in the Aiken/Augusta area over the weekend (June 9th). We were looking specifically for deals on pre-owned Camry's and had been to several other car lots previous to Bob Richards that day. I objective was to find the best overall deal, then make a decision. Once on the lot, the sales person immediately stated that he dealt with "buyers" not "customers". Then when I explained how many places I had been today looking for a deal, and that I had searched the internet, cars.com etc. he wanted to know "why haven't you already bought one of them"? Then he said "you aren't interested in buying a car" and walked off. I asked as he was walking away if he had anything in used Camry's with under 35,000 miles, he said "I don't know, go find it.." then walked away. I turned around and left the lot. Absolutely un-called for behavior from a salesman. I understand this does not reflect the dealer as a whole, but that particular guy lost a potential sale for them, and I will state that my wife finalized on a brand new Camry 2012 today, and even stepped up from looking at pre-owned, once we found a nice dealer, Dave Edwards Toyota in Spartanburg SC. Highly recommend them. More
I am not an easy customer to handle and worked for 3 weeks with both of the local Toyota dealerships. Mark Parrish was great and his Manager Mr. Bumpus made the expearience even better.
