Worst Volkswagen service department within driving distance. Generally their staff is poorly trained, their systems are not kept up to date, and management does not prioritize customers. 1) They don' distance. I brought my Touareg in because the memory seats did not work in Oct 2019. They basically took it for 5 minutes and said that it was now working, so no issue. Within a month they were not working again. (It turns out that they likely canceled the error code and it started working). While in KY for vacation in July 2020, some work was done on the car by another VW dealer and they told me about an error code for the memory seat and the need to have it looked at when I got home. I called Minuteman to get an appointment (~3 weeks later) Aug 2020. Even though the issue was reported twice to two VW dealers while the car was under warranty, the car had 36.5k miles at the time of the visit, so even though they told me it was a warranty repair at drop off and I did not approve any non-warranty work; they forced me to pay $139 before releasing the car. The manager was told of the situation and instructed the staff to charge me fully. 2) Decided to get an oil change when I made the appointment since it was there anyway. On the phone, I was told $108 which is high versus Sullivan tire, but it was convenient. When I arrived, I was told the car was scheduled for the 40k service for $300-400 which I had not authorized and when i refused that, they told me the oil change was $169 for a Touareg. 3) They tell you that you will get email to confirm and remind about your appointments like every reasonable business does, but I got nothing. 4) And finally, the dieselgate settlement requires VW dealers to provide a diesel emissions additive at no charge, but in stead of taking the time to give me $5 of diesel additive while the care was there, they told me that it was only available for free in between scheduled service intervals (which by the way I qualified for at this appointment). I would never use this dealer again, when other local VW dealers are so so much better. More

This was the experience I wanted I had gone to another dealership for a a VW earlier this week and had an awful experience. They were not willing to work with me to get a deal done. They even tried to bring in "the closer" to intimidate me. Then I called Tim. I wish I had just done that in the first place! Tim made the process easy. Had the car ready to go when I got there, and went the extra mile to make sure I got everything I wanted, and saved me as much money as possible. The whole staff at Minuteman was great. Everyone was friendly throughout the whole process. The whole experience was quick and I was guided through it by a knowledgeable staff. They WANT to work WITH you, and this is how a business should be run. I couldn't be happier with my new car and I smile knowing I got a great deal from honest businessmen. I will be back and would recommend Tim to anyone that is looking for a VW, or just a new car. More

He was patient with our zillion questions and never made us feel rushed, even though we were buying about the least expensive thing we could. Jennifer Long did the signing, and she was also great. She explained the warranties but not in a way that, and she was very nice about doing a last-minute change to the financing. I would certainly recommend this dealership. More

We dealt with many other VW dealers - Minuteman was easily the best to deal with. Timmy and his staff treated us as if we were friends. I’ve been pretty underwhelmed by VW dealers over the last 2 years, both in our hunt for an Atlas and for our previous vehicle. We’ve liked the vehicles, not the dealers. Many have used deceitful tactics to try to sell cars- like bait and switch or price changing tactics, often at the expense of me having to drive several hours. Minuteman was straightforward and fair. First they steered us to the right vehicle for us. Timmy knew that we wanted a 19 Atlas with a sunroof. He was quick to tell us that they had several dealer demos that would be a substantially better deal on. He was right, and he gave us a great deal on the car. He wasn’t trying to up sell us into something else. Timmy went out his way for us on several occasions. Firstly, due to COVID, my wife and I wanted to see the car without anyone around. Timmy drove to the showroom when they were closed and on his day off so that he could pull the vehicle out of the garage so that we could see it without any other people around. Secondly, the vehicle was advertised with a roof rack and monster mats. When we went to see the vehicle they weren’t in it. Timmy went out of his way to ensure that we knew that they would take care of us by making sure that the equipment was in the car. We felt as if keeping their word was very important to this dealership. Finally, the appraisal of our car over the phone was exactly what he gave us for a trade in value. As simple as it sounds, a car dealer that keeps his word every time is more rare than one would hope. Minuteman was trustworthy and fair. More
