As a follow up to my post yesterday I want to provide the following update. I received a call from Mr. John Shepherd the managing partner and we cordially discussed what had occurred. Mr. Shepherd listened to my side, provide some possible “takes” on things and said he would talk to his sales managers and if something could be worked I would hear from them. At around 4:30 pm I received a phone call from Mr. Jeremy Cubbage to discuss the Ocean Pearl and that he could give me a better trade in value on that car. When I told him I only asked to see what would be possible options and that I wanted to go with the white 2012 Prius his reply was that since I was getting the Internet price that reduced the value that he would offer for the trade-ins. I specifically asked if that meant that the trade-in went up with the price of the car being bought and he answered to the effect that I would already be getting a deal with the internet price and that impacts the value of my trade-in. Bottom line to all this BUYER BEWARE!!!!! If you do any research and expect to get the listed sale price AND a true trade-in value it won’t happen if Mr. Cruz or Mr. Cubbage are the sales manager’s handling the deal.
