I have only have my brand new 2013 car for 60 days and have already had it in the shop 6 times for multiple issues at a time, both mechanical and cosmetic. I was promised a trade car in return, never rece have already had it in the shop 6 times for multiple issues at a time, both mechanical and cosmetic. I was promised a trade car in return, never received it. Several occasions I have been ignored and not contacted back. The dealer refuses to acknowledge the car has issues, I've had to take the vehicle for a second opinion for one issue just to prove it was a jenuin issue, it was still ignored and I had to pay to fix a warranty issue. Customer service is just as poor. More
My new vehicle needed to have the TPMS reset. The entire process took less than 15 minutes. During that time the service technician was able to leave enough cigarette smoke smell in my car to for the smell process took less than 15 minutes. During that time the service technician was able to leave enough cigarette smoke smell in my car to for the smell to be noticeable for 3 days. The service department was prompt to have my car brought to the detail shop and have the inside of my NEW car covered with a sent that would remind you of an old rental car. They did offer to have the car detailed for free; however I find out latter that I would need to leave my car with a dealership that can’t get a TPMS reset complete without drama for 3 to 6 hours. I want to thank you Al Serra Chevrolet South for allowing my car to not have that new car smell anymore and replacing the new car smell with the smell of dirty cigarette smoke covered up by used rental car smell. The smell of disappointment is what I get to smell every time I get in my NEW car now. I few weeks later I went back to Al Serra Chevrolet South for my first service. When I got my car back the engine bay was covered in oil and the exhaust manifold was smoking so bad that I have to pullover before I left the parking lot. My car was also missing a valve stem cap. This is less than professional and I don’t understand how and why a car would be able to leave a service department with that much oil covering the engine bay. I called the owner to allow him the opportunity to remedy the situation and his reply was rude and unprofessional. This dealership and the service department are of poor quality and have lost all my trust and confidence. I don’t recommend anyone to use this facility and I strongly recommend using another service center to fix your vehicle. More
I have exhausted all options I've had and met with no results so I have decided to post. I bought a 2004 Chevy silverado SS and 3 months later the transmission went out. It wouldn't have mattered if I pu results so I have decided to post. I bought a 2004 Chevy silverado SS and 3 months later the transmission went out. It wouldn't have mattered if I purchased extended warranty for this vehicle because it would have only covered me for 2 months. I contacted AL Serra while waiting for the tow truck let them know the situation and that I didn't have a warranty but was told by multiple salesman no matter what happened bring it to them and the would help, so I asked two employes one in sales and one in repair an they told me I wasn't under warranty, and that I would have to pay them full price no parts, labor or any discount. So I took my truck to a transmission shop while my truck was being fixed I contacted AL Serra multiple times and met with I'll call you back were looking in to it . Finally I went to the dealership and spoke with there used car manager. I told him the situation again and let him know I didn't expect him to pay for but to only make it right. Maybe full service, tires something he looked me in the eyes shook my hand and said he would make it right. After 2 more weeks with no response I spoke with the sales manager again he reassured me he would get back to me after another week a salesman contacted me and told me that AL Serra cheverolet decided they weren't going to do anything for me and "sorry about the bad luck" they might as well of spit in my face. This is how you treat your military service members? 75% of your income. I know the soldier that traded it in and the price they have him they could have easily taken care of the $4,000 bill and not lost a dime. Do not let your family members, friends or even worst enemies to buy from AL Serra Cheverolet! The sad thing is they actually have a used car lot on base. Al Serra cheverolet doesn't support it's troops or anyone for that matter. SSG Hendo More
Terrible service department. Extremely rude employee. Asked a simple question about replacing a grille, already had the part. Service tech acted like he didn't want to help me out. Was going to charge $3 Asked a simple question about replacing a grille, already had the part. Service tech acted like he didn't want to help me out. Was going to charge $30 for another technician to "snap" in a part. Will never ever do business here again! More
Very Bad business business practices. Sales Mgr. Jim gave a selling price. The next day he advised they would have to raise the selling price due to a bank fee. Apparently he and this dealership are unaware a selling price. The next day he advised they would have to raise the selling price due to a bank fee. Apparently he and this dealership are unaware of the "FEDERAL LAW" which states you CAN NOT raise the selling price to offset a bank fee. Nor are you allowed to even discuss bank fees with customers And this is to a 18 yr. old in the ARMY stationed at Fort Carson. I wonder how the Attorney General will like this one. More
Drove 3 hours with an add from autotrader on a GMC 1500 ready to buy. Salesman, told me the price was a misprint and would not honor. Bait and switch. Buyer beware. ready to buy. Salesman, told me the price was a misprint and would not honor. Bait and switch. Buyer beware. More
I flew out from New Jersey to help my army son buy a used car to get around Fort Carson/Colorado in June 2012. Al Serra's web-site states they will give a $500 military discount (with military ID) off you car to get around Fort Carson/Colorado in June 2012. Al Serra's web-site states they will give a $500 military discount (with military ID) off your lowest negotiated price (used or new). I meet the woman in charge of military sales on Fort Carson who gave me directions to Al Serra and the names of the salesmen I was supposed to meet. According to her they were all prior military and had appreciation for the soldiers of today and would work with us. I did my homework based upon Al Serra's web-site, my price range was $4000-$6000 and I was paying cash. I had four vehicles in mind with all of the specs, car-fax, etc. I took my son with me along with his military ID. I knew I was in trouble with Al Serra when I got there because all of the cars I wanted to look at/possibly purchase were all sold that same morning!! Talk about your bait and switch tactics! They had nothing in my price range, I had to go up another $1000 to the $7000 price range and all they had was a 2005 Kia Spectra EX with 98K miles. Mechanically, from what I could tell, the car was in pretty decent shape, engine looked good, oils were not gritty or smelled burnt and fairly decent tires. The car pulled to the right when driving and applying the brakes, the paint and chrome were peeling and chipping, a lot of knicks and dents over most of the car and there was damage to the trunk (as if someone hit it or the car backed into something). It came with a two month powertrain warranty. I tried my best to get a better price ( I was to be in Colorado only four days) and the best hey could do was $6879, plus $499 for dealer prep (a state law that we do not have in NJ) plus sales tax, etc. I then asked about the military discount and I was told that there was "no wiggle room". My time was limited, my choices then became to seek out another used car dealer who did not give military discounts (which meant nothing) ...I had no time o research any more cars...or not buy a car. I chose to buy the car for the sake of my son. The only military green Al Serra is concerned with is the color of money. I will be reporting this to the Colorado Better Business Bureau for false advertising. More
the deal was a great deal. Got exactly what I needed. The post-deal actions were amatuerish at best. Completely uncoordinated and unorganized. As I have discussed with several employees including manager, my issue was with how the tech decided to play with my vehicle. I was told that this happens often with cop cars and people like to play wit manager, my issue was with how the tech decided to play with my vehicle.
