from walking in the door to leaving in my new truck it took just over 4 hours. Greg did a great job showing me available trucks and when it came time to negotiate price, the dealership was willing to wor took just over 4 hours. Greg did a great job showing me available trucks and when it came time to negotiate price, the dealership was willing to work with me to get me the truck I wanted. the only downside was the financing. once the price was agreed on, my information went to the financing department. he actually tried to increase the price by not allowing me Ford Motor Credit! I have an exceptional credit rating. when I called him on it, he started to wheel and deal and say they were no lower rates. when I showed him what my credit union was offering, he suddenly came up with a special "coupon" he could use for me..how convenient. I was close to walking out the door but wanted the truck at the negotiated price. we did come to an agreeable rate but this was definitely the worse part of the entire process. had I not done my financing homework ahead of time, the vehicle would have cost me a lot more in financing charges or possibly not be mine. Mike Route was my salesman and he was the best I ever dealt with. He and other members assisted us while buying two new cars. I have been in sales and am as synical as they come! I know Mike was courtious on the phone and worked on my deals throughout the day, but I was surprised to see how when we arrived the politeness did not end. Salesmen and managers alike worked with us, were friendly and really cared. One and a half months later, I am still getting a courtessy call from Mike to make sure all is okay and asks if he can do anything for us in relation to the cars. Nothing but teamwork on the day of our two new car purchases. I went so far as to call the owner to praise my salesperson. I don't think I have ever done that before in my life. Went to Alexandria Ford for tire replacement. They replaced the four tires, but did not tighten well the front wheel, driver side. I went on my Xmas trip and as soon as I drove with the full speed in replaced the four tires, but did not tighten well the front wheel, driver side. I went on my Xmas trip and as soon as I drove with the full speed in the highway, the car started trembling very badly. The front wheel was unable to control and steer. Stopped to a car dealer closed by and they found out about the poor job done from Alexandria Ford. Many parts in the front of the car were dented or damaged because the left front wheel fell apart. Manager Bill Lykins told me to bring the car back to the service center to “make sure there are no more damages related to front wheels”. Went to Alexandria Ford on January 2nd to check if there were more damages in the front wheels. They kept "checking" my car for more than 2.5 hours and told me that the car was in a very good shape and there were no more damages in the car. What they did was only an oil change and a superficial diagnostic check. Went again to Alexandria Ford on March 2nd, for another problem with my car. The car failed the multicheck point, and the service center gave me a list of many items worth $2000 were 9 out of 10 items to fix were items related to the front wheels (bolts, joints, etc). The manager, Bill Lykins, claims that all the damage is related to items normal usage rather than the stress the front wheels had to go through because of bad installation of the wheel. This service manager is not only risking the lives of customers and minor children, but keeps lying that he is working to repair the damages in the car, where he did not even check on the condition of the area that was damaged. Now, he wants the customer to repair the damage made on the car, because of his poor service job. More
This past week I was in the market for a new truck. I called on the phone and was transferred to "Nick" in sales. Nick never called. I bought a new truck this week and it wasn't at this dealership. More
