I would recommend taking the drive it's not even that far just to not deal with game playing dealers. I didn't even finance threw them and they still treated me great. And we got the truck delivered we forgot some minor last minute paperwork and they came and brought it to my house!!!!!!! It was our fault. More

I went to a different dealer for a recent vehic I am doing this review based upon my experiences with Mike Anderson Chevrolet in Merrillville in 2014. I went to a different dealer for a recent vehicle purchase and what a refreshing change. My family had bought 4 vehicles from Mie Anderson Chevrolet over the course of 2 years. We thought they were pretty decent overall but that all changed. Not sure if there were new floor managers or what, but they completely low-balled me on a trade in that was an offer at least 25% off fair market price for a fairly new low mileage Camaro I purchased from them roughly a year earlier. I got better trade in from a small local dealer without buying a vehicle from them. Our local dealer said how embarrassingly low the offer they gave me was and it was surprising. In short, being greedy and not following through on promises drove me away and I don't miss them at all. I'm sure there are worse places out there, but this place deserves 2 stars (Fair) because it is your typical dealership where large profits are put over regular people instead of being fair. Jonathan Divine was the guy we used and he does not deserve all the blame... he was quite helpful in the past. For whatever reason he didn't or could not go to bat for us when we were there trying to make a new purchase and trade in my vehicle. Bottom line- price gouging your own loyal customers on trade-in's is a poor business practice and I hope they learn from their mistake. I moved on to a better, more reliable dealership in Illinois. The distance isn't convenience but their customer satisfaction and loyalty is. They lost my entire family and friends' business. More

We always check in with Lawrence Phillips aka (LP). Tuesday my husband and I went to speak to him because we were "thinking" about purchasing a new vehicle. We had some concerns about the equity in our current vehicle. Well, as I write this (Thursday) we are now in possession of a 2017 Impala LT with just about every bell and whistle offered on the new models. We are not in sticker shock, he went above and beyond helping us liquidate the previous vehicle. We walked away feeling like we made a good fiscal decision for our family. We never feel pressured, He always takes his time and explains the different financing/leasing options so that we can make an informed decision. LP is professional, personable, and his knowledge is beyond reproach. We had the pleasure of dealing with Leighton Johnson (our salesman) and I can say that it was an absolutely positive experience.. He took his time and went through every option, button, gadget etc. He walked me through the On-Star set-up with the rep. We literally sat in the lot for over an hour as he went through everything in this new model. Going forward we now have (2) " Go To Guys" . When a company treats their people well it shows because they shine and they are present year after year. This is very important to us as well. This speaks volumes about the integrity of the organization and makes us feel like we will be treated with the same appreciation. A Dealer to Trust My wife and I were looking to buy a truck and we were torn between a Chevy or a Ford. When we came to Mike Anderson we were greeted like family. We in My wife and I were looking to buy a truck and we were torn between a Chevy or a Ford. When we came to Mike Anderson we were greeted like family. We initially were not planning on getting a truck that night, but that feeling changed when we interacted with Eric Estrada and Rob Henderson. Both of these gentlemen took care of us in a professional manner. They did not pressure us in any way to buy a truck. Rob Henderson and Eric Estrada are two gentlemen that care about their customers. Rob's humor and genuine kindness for you as a human is something that I truly respect. Eric Estrada is a family man that is willing to work with you and meet your needs. Our buying experience went extremely fast and everyone involved was very courteous and professional. My wife and I have bought a few cars and Mike Anderson is a top rated dealer that is not pushy and cares a substantial amount of maintaining five star quality service. Thank you again Mike Anderson Chevrolet and Rob Henderson and Eric Estrada. You guys made our day and experience one we will never forget. More
Irresponsible credit search practices Recently my Aunt, returned to Mike Anderson Chevrolet in Merrillville, after getting a call from 'her' sales person stating that she could get a good Recently my Aunt, returned to Mike Anderson Chevrolet in Merrillville, after getting a call from 'her' sales person stating that she could get a good rate on a 2016 Chevrolet. My Aunt really was interested in a lease, but if a new car price (monthly payment) was within her price she would consider buying a new car. After she could not get either a 2016 new or lease because of her credit, she accepted her fate and was determined to stay with what she had (for the time being). Then while checking her credit score for herself, she finds out that Mike Anderson has made not one (1), two (2) or three (3), the have made NINE (9) consecutive credit inquiries. This does not make in rational sense!!! All in the name of a sale!?!?!? All in the name of customer satisfaction. Personally, I think that those who orchestrated this credit assassination, were only trying to meet their quota and secure their quarterly or monthly bonus. Where was the ethics? When asked Mike Anderson Chevrolet for a letter that might help restore her credit rating, these NINE (9) inquiries were justified by saying she signed a consent for them to make credit inquiries. Even she did sign a consent to make credit inquiries, when and where does common cents or even business ethics come into play. And the cherry on top of this mess, is now none of the contact persons will even take or return her call. Now, my Aunt get a loan with Mike Anderson, or any other dealership. More
