Midway Nissan

I was looking for a Nissan Leaf, and Midway was the closest dealer to my house, so I decided to give them a try. It was, quite possibly, the worst sales experience I've ever had, and I mean any sales e closest dealer to my house, so I decided to give them a try. It was, quite possibly, the worst sales experience I've ever had, and I mean any sales experience, not just cars. After test driving the Leaf we sat down, he talked to his manager, and he brought back a piece of paper that I should have wadded up and threw at him. The price he had quoted me earlier was now $5,000 higher. I said absolutely not, so he kept shuffling back and forth between me and the manager . . . for four solid hours. They knew next to nothing about the car or lease, even after I explained the lease to them, and they kept coming back with $850/month payments, which was $500 higher than Nissan's advertisements for the car. The next day (after I had bought a Leaf from another dealer), the finance manager wrote me back and said he had the lease figured out. Brilliant. Another one of the employees there, who was some kind of manager, told me that my current car, a Honda Fit, was a student's or granny's car. There's nothing I like more when I'm spending nearly $40K than being insulted. I was gobsmacked. I wanted the car, so I kept sticking around, and finally I agreed to a price, contingent on them removing a giant sticker from the car that said something pretentious about it being electric. I love my electric car, but I don't want to be a jerk about it, or tacky. The sticker was a $250 add-on, and I wasn't haggling about the price at all, except this $5 sticker which I was not going to buy for $250. They refused to budge even a dollar, so I left in bewildered disgust. The next day we went to Avondale Nissan and we will never go back to any dealership owned by the group that owns Midway. Jerks. I always had a fear of buying a new car you always hear horror stories. Mike was the exception to the rule. When it came time to buy he made it so easy we told him what we wanted and he got us the best price. At no time did I feel pressured or obligated. He went over everything and took his time it wasnt like hurry up and get out so I can sell another car. I had my kids and he put a movie and gave them popcorn never made me feel uncomfortable. Bruce, Juan and JC were very helpful while we bought our new pathfinder. Bruce Weiss was very direct, honest, and outgoing while talking to us about the vehicle. Juan Quinonez was our finance manager. He was very polite and friendly while helping us with the final part of purchasing the vehicle. He explained all the extra warranties and was very patient with us while we voiced our concerns. JC was the first and last person we were helped by. We spoke to him first about possibly upgrading our Xterra to the pathfinder and he is the one who pointed us to Bruce and later Juan. He later helped us decide what warranty was right for us and helped find us a way we could afford to get that program. Overall our experience at Midway Nissan with these particular people was GREAT! They all had great customer service and were all very helpful to us with everything throughout the whole purchasing process. We will definitely let our friends and family know about our experience and send them there. More
