I was new to the Chicagoland area and really needed a vehicle. My friend recommended Midway Dodge and I am so glad she did! I searched online to take a look at what vehicles they had that I would be inte vehicle. My friend recommended Midway Dodge and I am so glad she did! I searched online to take a look at what vehicles they had that I would be interested in. I called to make sure the one I wanted was available. The person I spoke to on the phone said it was. She was also friendly, patient and polite. I had all my questions and concerns answered by the end of the call. When I went to the dealership the service was amazing!! All the employees were friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about their vehicles. Since buying the car I always take it back to them to get my oil changes, etc. I checked Midway Dodge's reviews prior to going to the dealership and I can assure you the negative feedback is only in the past. They have definitely made some positive changes. I refuse to take my vehicle anywhere else to be worked on. I highly recommend Midway Dodge to anyone who is looking for a great vehicle along with great service! More
At first my response for the car dealership was positive because I was happy initially, I got a car, my first one. I was really anxious and too willing to buy and leave with a car the same day so settled fo because I was happy initially, I got a car, my first one. I was really anxious and too willing to buy and leave with a car the same day so settled for less. I left with the car to go back to school (which is 3 hours away) and got the car checked for any problems. The two front wheel bearings were loose, oil was leaking, and the car needed a tune up immediately. The dealership was suppose to check the car before I left, those issues should not have been found, especially the two front wheel bearings being loose that is very dangerous. The service there is terrible, I had to bring my car back to redeem a "WE OWE" slip so they could do a detailed cleaning and check the breaks and things in the engine. The car was not cleaned properly, a couple days later the head gasket blows. The so called warranty that I have, suddenly according to the finance manager doesn't cover the head gasket because it's not apart of the engine. This is a used car by the way which is expected to have a few wear and tear issues but I've only had the car for less than a month. This dealership is terrible I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. They take advantage of their customers and their under terrible management. If things don't change in their faulty protocols their sure to go out of business. The visits seem to go smoothly for those buying newer cars, but for those purchasing used cars the experience is not so good. This is a terrible quality that this dealership has treating customers purchasing used cars in a stratified way. The business may be good for those buying newer cars but if you're interested in a used car RUN.... More
DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE!! DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE!! DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WOMEN: I recently brought my car here so they can repair the gear shift. I droppe DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE!! DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WOMEN: I recently brought my car here so they can repair the gear shift. I dropped off my car on Wednesday and I called on Thursday to see the status of the car. I spoke to Santiago and I asked him "Please tell me what is wrong with the car and no "recommended" repairs. He said, "The brake shift light switch needs to be replaced". Then Santiago says, "Can you have your husband call me because I feel more comfortable talking to a man" . I was shocked! I told him that I own the car and that I would be paying for the repair and that my husband isn't a mechanic. I will be reporting them to the BBB and Chrysler Group next. RIP OFF - COST: They quoted me 282 dollars! Actual cost to replace this with parts and labor should be around 60 dollars. This place will rip you off! Forget about taking your car here for a recall because they will LEFT MY CAR IN PIECES: After I called Santiago on Thursday around noon, I told him that I will not be doing the repair there and that I will be picking up my car after 6PM. I pick up my car and the middle console with the gear shifter is in PIECES with screws left sitting on the seat. Of course, the service department is gone for the day and no one had a clue. I already had called a tow truck to take my car to my place and I didn't want to wait another day. Vandalize my car: I didn't buy my car at Midway Dodge but yesterday they took it upon themselves to add the license plate holder both front and back to my car. They couldn't put the console/gear shifter back together but they were fine with putting their crappy logo on my car. More
I purchased a 2009 Dodge Challenger on Feb of 2009. At that time, i also purchased an extended warranty aside from the 36 month factory warranty. Never had any major issues with my vehicle. Just recently that time, i also purchased an extended warranty aside from the 36 month factory warranty. Never had any major issues with my vehicle. Just recently I noticed my A/C not functioning the same. The driver said was cool instead of cold and the passenger side vents blew out HOT air. I took my car to the dealership on a Monday. The dealer then contacted me back saying "Your factory warranty is expired." At which point I made them aware that i had purchased an extended warranty. They then contacted the extended warranty location...at which point, the warranty location informed them they did not have me on file. The dealer then contacted me and asked me if I still had my copy of the warranty. I luckily kept all my paperwork. I pulled it out and the person from the service department asked me to verify my VIN number which i did. Both matched. I then proceeded to give the service rep. the contract number on the contract. The dealer contacts the warranty location along with my contract number and no luck. No contract number with my name on file. The dealer contacts me and asks if I can show up or fax them my contract. I drove my wifes vehicle to the dealership and provided them with my contract copy. The dealership in turn forwarded the contract to the warranty location. The dealer contacted me on tuesday and said no work had been performed because they hadnt received approval for the claim. I was free to pick up the car and they would notify when the approval went through so i can take care in. Mind you, this weekend will be 90+ degrees with an a/c thats not working properly on a vehicle thats only 3 years old. The whole work week went by and i heard nothing. The friday of the same week i contacted the warranty place myself to find out what was going on. They pulled me up and notified me that the contract was not accepted because it has been 3 years since the initial purchase date of the contract, and they never received my paperwork from the dealer. Highly upset, I contacted the dealer and spoke to a manager who then told me that would be something the finance manager could take of. I asked to speak to the finance manager and was told the finance manager starts his shift at 1p.m. I called at 1:15pm and was told by the secretary he was "running late." I called back 15 minutes later and suddenly he is with a customer. I leave a voicemail with my information to have him call me back. Never called back. I then called back later in the day and spoke with secretary again and told her about the situation and if there was anyone that i can speak to of higher rank. She transferred me to another manager who i also could not get a hold of. Throughout the day i called the dealership over 10 times. Never had a phone call returned. Never had the email i sent through their website returned with a phone call. I do remember them calling me immediately when I was on their website showing interest in a car when i was car shopping 3 years ago. So now im out an air conditioner in my car and without a contract that i paid for. $2,200 was added to my finance when i purchased my car. Which means someone took my $2,200 and earned interest on that money, since the warranty place never got my paperwork or money. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. I WILL NO LONGER ATTEMPT TO CONTACT THIS DEALER. I TRIED TO FIX THIS WITH THEM AND THEY AVOIDED ME. NEXT PERSON THEY WILL HEAR FROM WILL BE MY ATTORNEY ALONG WITH ALL MY DOCUMENTATION OF PEOPLE I SPOKE TO AND MY RECEIPTS THAT SHOW I PAID FOR IT AND A DENIAL LETTER FROM THE WARRANTY LOCATION SHOWING I WAS REJECTED BECAUSE THE DEALER FAILED TO SEND PAPERWORK. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO THIS DEALER AND I WILL MAKE SURE MY FRIENDS AND COWORKERS NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN! More
First and foremost, DO NOT COME TO THIS DEALER, don't even try to call them, because you will waste your time. We called and spoke to two different people(Maritza and Angela) just to make sure the car w even try to call them, because you will waste your time. We called and spoke to two different people(Maritza and Angela) just to make sure the car we were interested in was available, and both times we were told it was. Upon arrival, we asked for both of the people we had spoken to on the phone, and were told that they had no one by that name. This already sounded a bit fishy, but the person then went on to asking what car we were interested in seeing so we told him, and he said he would come back in a minute. He said to look around for other cars in the meantime while he looked for the car. He then came back a few minutes later and said they no longer had the vehicle, because it might have been sold a few days ago. To sum this review up, this dealer is extremely unreliable and they lie to the people on the phone just to get you to go to the dealer. If you get there and they say they don't have the vehicle, simply leave them talking and get out of there, because they have once again lied to another buyer. Save you time, gas, and effort and DO NOT COME TO THIS DEALER! More
We found several cars listed on the website that looked liked good deals. I called with the stock numbers for the cars and they had all three. We drove an hour to see the cars and they did not have any o liked good deals. I called with the stock numbers for the cars and they had all three. We drove an hour to see the cars and they did not have any of them when we arrived. They tried interest us in other cars that were more expensive and had higher miles. We did not buy anything because we felt like we were lied to about the other cars. More
This dealership is the worst. We located a car on the internet thru Auto Trader that this dealership was advertising. We called, talked to Marco, three different times w questions about the vehicle. He a internet thru Auto Trader that this dealership was advertising. We called, talked to Marco, three different times w questions about the vehicle. He assured us all three times it was there and available for purchase knowing we were driving 90 plus miles to buy the car. We get there and got handed over to a so called sales manager named Jimmy. He took us to a entirely different vehicle than the one on auto trader. He has never seen the one that was advertised. They did not have the vehicle there, or anywhere. He then tried to sell us the car they did have for 6,000 dollars over the price of the advertised one. We left. More
I took my 2002 Dodge Caravan in because I had recently had my Transmission rebuilt and it was still not shifting gears and the speedometer was not working correctly. I decided to take it to Midway Dodge s had my Transmission rebuilt and it was still not shifting gears and the speedometer was not working correctly. I decided to take it to Midway Dodge since they have experience with these types of vehicles. They wanted to charged me $654 to tear down the transmission because they said it was an internal problem. I said no but they still charged me $115. I took it to another mechanic and they told me that the oxygen wires were crossed and that was the problem they only charged me $45. I called Midway Dodge asking for my money back and they refused too but they give me a horrible diagnostic. If i would have said yes to tear down the transmission they would have charged me a lot of money and it wasn't even the problem. Do not bring your vehicle here they will tell you its a bigger problem then it really is and charge you much more! More
