I visited this dealership twice to view and test drive cars. At this point our salesman Claude was very helpful. I decided on a Prius V five with no premium/ technology package items. I requested a price cars. At this point our salesman Claude was very helpful. I decided on a Prius V five with no premium/ technology package items. I requested a price from my salesman via e-mail. We had several e-mails to work out details of colors and mats. I made an appointment to come see the car and he said he had the car on the lot except he would have to add leather aftermarket. I reminded him I had specified a five trim package. He apologized and said he was confused on what we had spoken of, but had the right car on the lot and would have it ready for my husband and myself. My husband got off work early to come with me. When we arrived we were shown the car at a trim level 3, not 5. Again "I'm sorry we just pulled up the wrong car, the one you want is right over here". He showed us the correct car. We then proceeded inside to complete the sale. At this time Anthony comes over and attempts to give me a different price than I had been quoted and it is on a trim level 3 car. I again informed him we have been working on specs and price on a trim 5 package. He left and came back with a price over $2500.00 more than what I had been quoted. When I tried to tell Anthony this he said he did not care what I had been quoted, this was the price and he walked off. I have attempted to contact the general manager and left a message on his voice mail, but after a day and a half he has yet to return my phone call. This dealership tried to bait and switch. They cannot be trusted and are rude. More
Dick Dyer Toyota of 240 Killian Commons Pkwy is NOT to be TRUSTED! My mother and I visited their dealership on Saturday November 3, 2012 in search of a used car. We were greeted by a salesperson by the name TRUSTED! My mother and I visited their dealership on Saturday November 3, 2012 in search of a used car. We were greeted by a salesperson by the name of Anthony Addison. I told Mr. Addison my price range and also informed him that I'd already been approved for a loan through my credit union. Mr. Addison's response to me was "That's what they all say". I chalked that up to Mr. Addison being a jokester and continued to look at the used cars. We found a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. At first I wasnt too crazy about the car because of the custom rims, however the car was in great condition and they offered me the car for 8,998. They allowed me to drive the car to get my uncle's approval on it. When we returned, I told Mr. Addison I wanted to get the car. I also told Mr. Addison again that I had already been approved for a loan. Mr. Addison then LIED and told me that the bank I was approved for the loan with was a bank that they worked with (sign and drive) and if I gave him my social security number he'd be able to see the loan I was approved for in his system. I know nothing about the car purchasing process so I believed him. Mr. Addison ran my credit , got me approved through some other bank and came back with 3 different car payments. He never told me what the interest rate would be or how he even came up with those payment amounts so I didn't say much, I just refused the deal and my mom told him we'd come back when we had my uncle because we didnt know much about the car buying process. Mr. Addison says "If he can't write a check, there's no need for him to come". With that being said, we got up and left. When I got home, I realized Mr. Addison must have ran my credit. I called the dealership back the following day and spoke with Mr. Addison about him running my credit when he had already been informed that I was approved by my bank. Mr. Addison was very rude to me, as he was on Saturday. He was talking over me, saying I knew he was running my credit because I gave him my social security number. I was aggravated when I ended the call with Mr. Addison because of the way he talked to me. I called back and spoke with a manager, to my understanding, he's the manager of the new car department. His name was Jeffrey Bowers. I expressed my feelings on how I was treated and I requested another salesperson to assist me with purchasing the car. Mr. Bowers told me that he would definitely assign me to another salesperson and to ask for him when I come in the following day. My uncle , my mother, my aunt and I went to the dealership on Monday November 5 2012. I took a day off work to be able to get the car. When we got there we were greeted by Mr. Addison. My uncle told Mr. Addison that we wanted another salesperson, Mr. Addison began to loud talk my uncle saying he really didnt care if we wanted another salesperson. We then spoke with Mr. Bowers after Mr. Addison immediately lied and said he wasnt there, then he quickly changed it to "Well he should be in here". Before finally speaking with Mr. Bowers, we were greeted by the used car manager, his name was Adam, I'm not sure of his last name. My uncle told him how rude Mr. Addison had just been to him and that we just wanted to start fresh with a new salesperson. Mr. Bowers then came over with a different salesperson by the name of Tremaine Boyd. My uncle and I sat down at one of the tables with Mr. Boyd to discuss the purchase of the car. Once we got he numbers straight, Mr. Boyd printed up a bill of sale for me to take to my bank to have a check cut. I was in contact with Mr. Boyd the whole time after I left and headed to the bank for the check. I let him know when I was headed back and I had already called and switch my car insurance from my current car to the new car. Fifteen minutes after I called to say I was on the way with the check, Mr. Boyd called back stating that the car was already sold to someone else. I was extremely upset and I asked Mr. Boyd how was that possible. Mr. Boyd told me that it was business then he went on to say "What would you do if you had a business and someone came in with cash to buy a car". I asked for a manager, and Mr. Boyd said to me "He's a busy man, no you can not talk to him". He also told me that I needed to get rid of my little attitude that I had with him. Mr. Boyd was being so rude to me that I hung up in his face. I spoke to managers after him and neither of them offered to do anything for how I had been treated. The only thing they could muster up was a "I'm sorry". I recieved conflicting information. One manager told me that if I had left a down payment that they wouldve held the car and another told me that they didnt hold used cars. I was treated awful from the time I stepped foot in that dealership. I never thought that there could be so many unprofesssional people employed at the same place. DO NOT TRUST DICK DYER TOYOTA!!!!! I purchased a 2011 Corolla from Dick Dyer in September 2011. I went back to Dick Dyer in October of 2012 to buy a new Camry using the Toyota Loyalty Program. My salesman, Ken Jacobs bent over backwards 2011. I went back to Dick Dyer in October of 2012 to buy a new Camry using the Toyota Loyalty Program. My salesman, Ken Jacobs bent over backwards to help me. After finding the perfect Camry and agreeing on price it was off to see David in the finance department. The professionalism both men showed and the way that the dealership worked with me, I would never buy at any other dealership. It was simple and fast. If you want great price, friendly employees and a service department that does what they say, go to Dick Dyer Toyota. More
I found my Nissan Murano before arriving at the dealer. Jennifer from internet sales kept in touch with me during my search. Steve Tyler accepted my offer on the price and once I made it to the lot Anthony Jennifer from internet sales kept in touch with me during my search. Steve Tyler accepted my offer on the price and once I made it to the lot Anthony Addison met us with a smile and we took off to start paperwork. It was EASY, QUICK and once over to David Nudelman, we sealed the deal! It was VERY hot that day and they kept me and my family hydrated with cold drinks. Anthony made sure we had plenty of gas because we had to travel back home to Aiken. I will for sure tell everyone I know to try Dick Dyer Toyota when looking for a car. I LOVE MY MURANO!!!!!! More
Found a 07' Civic SI on autotrader, I submitted an inquiry on it, two days later still got no response, went on the site to see if the vehicle is still available and is still up for sale, done an onli inquiry on it, two days later still got no response, went on the site to see if the vehicle is still available and is still up for sale, done an online chat and they were suppose to have an sales guy to get in touch with me, a day later still nothing, finally the next day I decided to call in, spoke with the salesman (Dwight), he told me the car had checked through service but still in the process of going through detail, this was on Thursday, well we made an appointment for Sunday @ 1pm, plus I asked him to do a walk-around on the car cause i'm over 2 hrs away, supposedly he done the walk around and said the 0nly thing bad with the car is some very small rock chips on the hood (well hey this is normal so I was okay with it) well Saturday come by and is 4pm I decided to text him to check if the vehicle is ready for tomorrow it took him a hour to respond back (yes car is still here) well I asked him is the car ready to be show tomorrow, he said (yes but haven't been through detail) ***we have a appointment for Sunday and the car is still haven't been through detail and it's been two days since we talked, well he then never texted back for almost an hour, well I called and spoke to Randy the internet manager (very nice and kind guy) well me & Randy worked out a price and I showed up there today (Sunday), car had alot of rock chips throughout the both fender & hood, had a dent on the passenger side skirts, all four rims had curbage damage and one of the rim had a small bent, also the carfax had shown an accident on the right front end, and I ask Dwight to check on that side to see if the paint match up or not, (he said is in good shape) well in person that entire corner did not line up, had paint scratches, looks like previous owner wrecked it and traded in. This is the worst car experience I have ever had, drove over two hours each way, wasted my time & gas and the car is a xxx, all Dwight had to do was done a true walk-around & tell me about the dent and scratches and major rock chips, yes I understand is a 106k 2007 car but still the point is this dealership have some unprofessional sales guy and do not know how to do a walk-around & do this job. Well, what can I say? I went in to buy one car, walked out with two, and a week later bought a third. David is a friendly and helpful person, and knowledgeable not only about cars, but economics in genera out with two, and a week later bought a third. David is a friendly and helpful person, and knowledgeable not only about cars, but economics in general. I appreciate his eager but somehow not pushy attitude, and that he just tells it like it is - honesty and sincerity trump salesmanship every time. Moreover, as a self-employed person I really value the get-it-done attitude from a financing perspective. Even though I own and run 2 very successful businesses, and have worked for myself for nearly 20 years, banks still treat me as a third-class citizen. David Nudelman and Dick Dyer Toyota were incredibly helpful, gave me great prices and financing, and just about made it impossible not to do business with them. Thanks guys! More
This is the my first unfortunate experience with the body shop, went to Dick Dyer Original Body Shop because it was recommended by the insurance company, long story short I just came back after my third visi shop, went to Dick Dyer Original Body Shop because it was recommended by the insurance company, long story short I just came back after my third visit and still have problems with my car , I am certain many more to come . Paint job really sucks as my van is in three different shades ( original, new plastic painted parts and New Body painted parts) and the answer I get is that’s the best they can do and I have to live with it. In third visit when I told that the 5th door is not aligned properly to the body shop manager, he fail to understand, finally I have to show him how its rubbing and taking of the paint from bumper, also when I showed him the handle is coming off he argued only top portion is coming of and handle is ok, seriously…no shame in trying to blow off the customer as they know that they got the check. I don’t know how other body shop works but hopefully they take pride and try to do decent job and not screw a customer so bad. I will not recommend getting your car to Dick Dyer unless you are satisfied with substandard work and want hassle dealing with arrogant body shop manager. More
Friday, I was looking on the internet at your listing of cars for sale. I looked at the 4 runners and it states you have 5 vehicles in your stock for sale. I decided to drive there and look at the vehicle cars for sale. I looked at the 4 runners and it states you have 5 vehicles in your stock for sale. I decided to drive there and look at the vehicles. When I arrived I walked around the entire lot looking for the 4 runners and could not locate them. I came inside to ask about them. I walked around inside for about 10 min and then a salesman asked could he help me and I told him I wanted to look at a 4 runner. He said let me find someone to help you. I waited another 10 min and another salesman asked me the same thing and I told him the same thing and once again he said he would get someone to help me. About 3 or so min the same salesman came back to me and asked what I needed. I told him I had looked on the internet and it indicated you had five 4 runners in stock and for sale. He said no I had looked at it wrong and they only had one which was apparently hidden somewhere, because he said I could not get to that one. I asked about the 5 vehicles and he said that was not correct. I just thanked them and left. I came home and looked at the web site again to see if I had made the mistake and I didnot. The web site says: There are 268 matching vehicles across the Southeast or search from 5 vehicles in inventory at Dick Dyer Toyota. There was on ONE in the inventory. Wrong information. This was not a very good experience for my first visit to your dealer. More
I Had a contract to buy a vehicle. Agreed to price in writing and placed a deposit. Dealer later called and said they did not realize the car had additional options and if I did not pay an additional $4 writing and placed a deposit. Dealer later called and said they did not realize the car had additional options and if I did not pay an additional $450 the deal was off. I told them I had a copy of the invoice (which a manager had given me) and it did list the options. They still said they would not honor the deal unless I came up with additional money. I said I would not yield to extortion and I would go elsewhere to buy my car. They refunded my deposit. I went to another dealer and got my car for less than Dick Dyer's. More
