Came here to inquire about a BMW X5. I felt zero pressure both Mo my salesman, and Eddy the manager were very patient, polite and let me move at my pace. Needless to say I bought the vehicle. I unfortunately would not recommend Middletown Nissan to anyone. I've never felt so unwelcomed. I had an appointment to look at a used SUV, and apparently they had already sold it. I came in with the hopes of checking it out, and then sat awkwardly at a desk waiting for the salesperson to figure out what was going on. I left upset because I wasted my time. No one even called for a follow up until a week later. Very glad I went somewhere else. More

Worst Dealership Absolute worse experience… I’ve had three Nissans and have never had such an issue with a dealership. The second I signed the papers to the car, the d Absolute worse experience… I’ve had three Nissans and have never had such an issue with a dealership. The second I signed the papers to the car, the dealership couldn’t care less about me and they made that clear. I tried to call multiple times and just kept getting redirected to voicemails of people who never even bothered to call me back. I stayed calm and understanding during this because they were busy but this was unbelievable including they sent me home with dealer plates without even explaining why. When I finally got a call back, I made an appointment with my sales man, Eddy. I drove a whole hour to this appointment where I was stood up. The sales guy never called me to tell me he was not able to come in that day. At this point, the sales manager said he would take over. There were 4 issues; they owed me a check that I should have walked out with when I got the car, I was sent home with dealer plates, I was supposed to get a second key, and I only received ONE floor mat. I called for about three weeks until I finally got ahold of the general manager and the supposed owner. After explaining all I went through and how miserable this whole process has been he apologized and said he would make sure everything gets handled. He admitted that the finance department forgot to mail the check and that the check was sitting there the whole time. He then said he would send somebody to my house to get me the other key however he never showed up and I am still without a key. They did actually give me new floor mats but the kicker is, they gave me ones that don’t go to/fit my car. This all started towards the end of May and at this point I am done trying with them. I learned my lesson though and will stick with the Hartford or Torrington Nissan. More
a week agoI bought a 2018 Nissan Maxima from here on a week ago I bought a 2018 Nissan Maxima from here on March 3rd. I was familiar with this location because I bought a 1996 maxima from here in 1999. a week ago I bought a 2018 Nissan Maxima from here on March 3rd. I was familiar with this location because I bought a 1996 maxima from here in 1999. I have always had Nissan vehicles. I have dealt with other Nissan dealerships as well. That's why I can say my experience with Middletown Nissan was not the greatest. The salesperson I had was named Dale and he was very patient and helpful and if there was a question we asked him about the car that he did not know he did not pretend to know but would get the information for us. Once I made up my mind to get the 2018 Nissan Maxima this is where I had issues. First, I am not buying a $500 vehicle., I am buying a 2018 vehicle that cost over $20,000 so why is it when my car is supposedly all set for me to take home I get in and there's a quarter tank of gas. I ask Dale "they don't give a full tank of gas"? He said it's only for new car purchases Really?? I have never purchased a vehicle from a dealership and not left the lot with a full tank of gas He does however buy me gas from up the road that I believe he may have used his own money to do so.(much appreciated) They also detailed my car and it was done so poorly. I had white wax all over the car......my car is black. Then I notice I am given 2 keys but ONE key fob. Again I inquire as to why this is because I have always been given 2 keys 2 key fobs. Dale tells me it's only one but for $450 they can program another one for me. Again, Really? I understand that these key fobs can now start your vehicle but that shouldn't change the fact that ALL dealers will give you two sets of keys and key fobs. The car is 2 years old I know THEY didn't get one key fob, and even if you did all you have to do is program another one. I have never dealt with a dealership like this EVER! I also had no floor mats in the car and you guessed it ANOTHER offer for me to pay!! I have a friend who bought the 2017 Maxima from another dealership and everything I just said was just part of the sale. So apparently if they can't hustle you on the price of the car they hustle you for all the things that come inside the car that you would normally have gotten with the vehicle. Lastly I had to bring the car back for them to fix the side strip molding on both sides. The first time the repair person broke one of the strip's trying to put it back on so I had to schedule a follow-up appointment and bring it back. The second time the strip was put on and it still wasn't correct so I called to have it done a third time. The third time they said I would need to leave my vehicle there for 48 hours for the strip to dry properly and they gave me a loaner vehicle. This was when Covid19 was just starting to peek and I was given a filthy dirty car covered in dust on the inside that I had to wipe down myself just to be able to drive in it. To say customer service is poor at this dealership is an understatement. The next Nissan I get will DEFINITELY not be from Middletown Nissan. More
