Service Department under bad management I made an appointment for recall service on my Mazda6 a week in advance and was given an appointment - at no time did the service writer ask me what r I made an appointment for recall service on my Mazda6 a week in advance and was given an appointment - at no time did the service writer ask me what recall service I needed which I thought was a little strange from a scheduling standpoint. I arrived for my appointment on time and after thirty minutes the service rep. came out to tell me that they could not do the service I requested. There was some question as to whether they had the parts in stock (why they didn't seem to know this for sure is beyond me and sounded suspicious) and then I was told that the only mechanic who could do this repair didn't have time to do it that day. Shouldn't the person making the appointment make sure they can actually do the work? Maybe the service writers get commissions on how many appointments they make - not how many they follow through on. This is the bumbling idiot approach to building business relationships with customers. I don't like being treated as though my time is unimportant, so if you decide to deal with these guys - you've been warned. Several months passed and I started receiving postcards from this dealership insisting that I come in to have this recall service performed (misrepresenting it as a safety recall which it is not). Despite my best judgement I called them, spoke to the receptionist who said all service lines were busy but she would take a message and they would call me back. That was 2 weeks ago and still no call. Apparently the management of this operation doesn't have the guts (or doesn't care) to clean house (get rid of incompetent service writers). I'm looking at other dealers for service despite having to travel further. More

Jeremy and Joe helped us to find a Mazda 3 Sport over the phone initially. They were so helpful as my husband is recovering from cancer and couldn't come out to the dealership to see the vehicle in person. phone initially. We worked out the details over the phone and everything was ready when I arrived at the dealership to finish all paperwork. The finance guy who reviewed all paperwork, I can't remember if he was Rob or Ron, was very efficient and friendly. Both Jeremy and the finance guy explained the car and paperwork/financing in a clear and understandable way. Everyone made sure we had no unanswered questions before we left. I was very satisfied and would recommend Compass Motors to anyone looking for a car. More
Both the level of professionalism and warmth of the staff at Compass Motors overwhelmed me! Greatest dealership experience!!! Found a 2007 Mazda 3 on Cars.com, called talked to Alonzo, the best salesperson I ever met, I worked a dealer for 12 years too. Drove 120 miles to dealer to get car. Dealership was clean and very large!! Car was showroom ready and waiting for me to road test, Business manager was even waiting for me! After the deal, the owner of Compass Mazda introduced himself, and thanked me, with a complimentary bottle of wine!! I left there with a awesome feeling like they were really happy for me. Drove home on my full tank of gas they provided and surprised my wife!! Thank you, Would recommend this dealership to anybody!!! More
I've been to several Mazda dealerships and thilled thus far with only Compass working on my CX 7. Excellent customer service and well worth the 50+ mile drive. First let me say we purchased our Mazda CX-9 3 years ago from this dealership. Tony in sales was fantastic! Really nice guy who did not put any pressure on us whatsoever! This was the first car purchase that was a pleasant experience, even with a trade to deal with! We have been dealing with Chris in the service department for the last 3 years. He is also a very nice, down to earth guy who always looks out for his customers. We've never gone there and felt ripped off. Chris does a great job explaining service issues and waiting time has never been an issue. We recommend this dealership to our friends and we would purchase another vehicle from them without any hesitation. More
