Thrilled with my new-to-me Ford Focus! I DREADED having to car shop for a new-to-me vehicle because of previous negative experiences with hard-selling, not-always-honest car dealers. Thus, I DREADED having to car shop for a new-to-me vehicle because of previous negative experiences with hard-selling, not-always-honest car dealers. Thus, armed with more-than-healthy skepticism and general distrust, I girded my emotional loins in anticipation of relentless salesmen and hard sales tactics, and moved forward into "Car Buyer's Purgatory." I know – not exactly a positive attitude. The first (and last) place I visited was Mid Valley Ford in Dallas, having been attracted by a Ford Focus I noticed on their lot when driving by. Upon entering the dealership, I was most pleasantly surprised by the open, easy, and comfortable feel of the physical environment, and by the fact that I wasn't immediately set upon by vipers. :) After affording me a little time to look around, a very nice young salesman greeted me and made himself available to answer any questions I might have. I told him of my interest in the Ford Focus, and he responded to all of my inquiries in a calm and incredibly knowledgeable manner. He was genuinely interested in helping me find what "I" wanted without any pressure. Choirs of angels sang in my head! Arrangements were made, a price was negotiated, and the following day, I returned with ID, proof of insurance, and payment option. After sitting comfortably for a short time while applicable paperwork was prepared on my behalf, I signed on all the dotted lines, and devoid of any trauma, drove away in my new-to-me Ford Focus – and I LOVE it! Thank you, Mid Valley Ford, for the excellent buying experience, and for renewing my faith in Ford dealerships! More

Oil Change Service Being new to the area I called Mid Valley to schedule oil change as it was overdue from my normal schedule. Public Service I purchased a 2016 Ford Explorer with 11,000 miles on it from a Chrysler Dealership that also had Ford Dealership in another city from which they got I purchased a 2016 Ford Explorer with 11,000 miles on it from a Chrysler Dealership that also had Ford Dealership in another city from which they got the vehicle I purchased. The issue I had was that it only had one Key Fob and no Navigation SD Card. I also had a 2010 Ford F-150 pickup I had purchased in the same manner from the same dealer. The F-150 pickup had recently had a fuel tank door that would not close completely and a glove box latch we broke. I needed another Key Fob and GPS Navigation Card for the Explorer and the fuel door and glove box latch for the pickup. The purchase dealership did not offer to replace the missing key fob and referred me to Car Toys who could not help. I contacted Mid-Valley Ford as they were near by in Dallas taking the F-150 in for them to look at and the key fob after describing it and sending photos by email. The first thing I noticed was the friendly helpful attitude from everyone. Although I heard the expected pitch about they should have offered us a key fob after buying the vehicle and that I should have checked with them before my purchase. Something I would have expected any dealership selling cars to suggest. My purchase location did not deter their desire to help me with my new purchase even though I bought the car from another location. After looking at my truck and telling me they could help there as well we began to take things in order. Although I did not have the car with me they ordered me a new Key Fob and GPS Navigation SD card. Aaron the parts guy was very helpful and all smiles. I felt very much at ease. The Service Department (Kelly) was also helpful and offered his willingness to set up service for everything. Both provided business cards. I noted that the Service Department Technicians and Parts worked together to give me a helping hand to be sure I was getting the right parts. When my parts came in Aaron notified me leaving a message on email. I had been out of town and got the message late at night. I had misunderstood his email and contacted the sale associates on a Saturday to pickup the key fob and SD card not realizing that Aaron wanted me to contact him to set everything up and program the key fob. I spoke to three sales associates who all tried to help me. One "Mike" went out of his way to help and found my order but could not program the key fob. This car had a lot of the new electronics in it that my wife and I did not understand and "Mike" took the time to explain much of them to us. He explained the car did not have a Navigation system though which was later confirmed by Aaron and the Service Department Techs. Upon seeing Aaron on a Tuesday when I could get in during the week and we confirmed that there was no Navigation system they kept the SD Navigation Card and refunded my money without me even asking. Talk about customer service. They did everything they could to make my purchase of a Ford product a good experience. I needed to set up an appointment to program the key fob but couldn't at the time due to my schedule. The following morning I had a cancellation and called Mid-Valley and "Jason" was able to set my programing appointment up for the afternoon. Very short notification to get this work done. Same day. They allowed me to leave my vehicle and key fobs with them and we left to do some shopping for our grandchildren in Salem. They called me later in the afternoon to tell me my vehicle was ready. I went out to try the key fobs and one did not seem to work and I went back in and the Service Department had they tech who worked on the vehicle come out with me. The problem was mine in not understanding the system. Everything worked fine and he showed what to do. Everyone I dealt with had friendly smiles and made me feel that I was just as important as the customer who purchased a vehicle from their dealership. My experience from start to finish was outstanding. More
