DOG and PONY SHOW - NUMBER MANIPULATION - SALES MANAGER YELL All I can say is that I am in shock about our experience. The first salesmen was nice enough but then the sales manager came over to tell us how awesome he is at his job in a pompous way and that they are totally transparent, which should be clue #1. Trade in value was a total lowball and the actual price of the car was obviously jacked up from the MSRP to THEIR own made up MSRP and the whole time you are told what a great deal you are getting. We questioned the sales maganer, Danny, about the numbers and he lost his cool. He yelled at us and told us to take our business elsewhere, that we wouldn't get a better deal there either. We walked out and as we were leaving, he was still ranting. We were ready to purchase new, so a deal lost there. I currently own a Honda but I will never set foot in that place again, not even the service department. Customer service is dead and gone!!!! More

I received an online price quote for a brand new Honda Civic for $19,300. It was a bit more than I wanted to pay but after some thought for a day or two, I went down to purchase the vehicle (even brought my father to drop me off) and I was informed that they would not honor the price because of upgrades on the vehicle. The upgrades were shown in the price and were part of the online price I was given. In the end they wanted an additional $3,000 dollars for the vehicle. Obviously, I did not purchase it and I am not happy with the sales practices of Michael Hohl. This was nothing more than a bait and switch tactic. Michael Hohl lost a $20,000 sale. If you offer a price quote, that the right thing to do is to honor that price. More
Shoddy work at Michael Hohl, worst service EVER. Earlier this year I took my 2005 Honda Civic Coupe to Michael Hohl Honda in Carson City with a head gasket issue. I explained to Tim that I had my tru Earlier this year I took my 2005 Honda Civic Coupe to Michael Hohl Honda in Carson City with a head gasket issue. I explained to Tim that I had my trusted mechanic friend take a look at it, and he determined that the trouble surrounded my head gasket. Unfortunately, my trusted mechanic moved to Hawaii shortly after diagnosing my car, so he was unable to fix the problem. I had just moved to the Tahoe area, and I thought that taking it to a Honda dealer would be the best move (they aren't supposed to screw you at the dealership, right?) so I took it to Michael Hohl. Tim said his team ran diagnostics tests on it and determined the head gasket wasn't the problem, but the radiator and fans instead. I was positive the trouble was the head gasket, but Tim seemed to be sure of himself, so they replaced everything around the head gasket instead. My car was in the shop there for a few weeks, I spent over $1100 to completed Tim's recommended issues, but when I finally got it back it immediately overheated--leaving me stranded on the side of the road, waiting half a day for the tow truck to arrive. I gave Tim an earful on the phone; if he had trusted my judgment in the beginning and replaced the head gasket (like I asked), I wouldn't have been stranded. Later, someone from Honda called and asked me to give a review of my experience; I was honest and told them of my disappointment with Michael Hohl, prompting Tim to take back my car and fix the head gasket (for no extra charge). My car was with them for another couple of weeks. When I finally got it back, I drove it for a couple of days and it started having issues again. The engine would lug, and cough, when I got to 4000 RPMs. I called Tim and told him of the trouble, he was so annoyed with me that he told me to find someone else to replace my spark plugs. I had someone else replace my spark plugs, but that did not resolve the issue. A few weeks ago, I took my car to Miata Honda in Citrus Heights. They took my head gasket apart and determined that the recent trouble (lugging at 4000 RPMs) was due to a lose bolt on one of the rocker arms and an improperly grounded wire--both were related to the previous head gasket work done at Michael Hohl. Mariana Lazaro in Citrus Heights recommended that I call Michael Hohl and ask them to reimburse me for the work that was done related to the head gasket. When I did so, Tim was curt and told me Steve would call me back on the following business day. Steve did not call. I have left several messages for Tim and Steve, detailing my conversations with Miata Honda, but no one will return my call. $936 of my bill was directly related to Michael Hohl's shoddy mechanic work and I deserve to be reimbursed. This is the WORST service I have ever gotten from a dealership and I will NEVER patron their service department again. Miata Honda in Citrus Heights was fabulous, I will go to them from now on. More

Monique was very helpful and attentive to our families needs. She helped us pick out exactly what would work for us as far as a vehicle goes and what we would be able to afford. We never felt pressured in to making a purchase and actually ended up purchasing one civic and leasing a second- in less time than it normally takes to buy one car. She even helped us pick out our civic that was not even on site- Picked out exactly what we wanted and had it delivered to the dealership! We couldn't have been happier. Monique even called to check up on us to make sure we were still in LOVE with our new Hondas- which of course we are!!! We recommend all our friends and family go see Monique at Michael Hohl Honda for their vehicle needs. We won't go anywhere else! More
We called our son who works at Honda to try and help us get an affordable, gas saving car.
