Derek, Providing an exceptional buying experience is always our goal, and to that end we make every effort to accommodate our customer's needs; however, sending a sales person to deliver a vehicle almost 2 hours away from the dealership to an unverified address to collect non-verified funds (cash) for a vehicle was a request that we could not satisfy. Furthermore, your claim that a cash purchase negates the need for proper identification is not true. Identification is required to verify placement of insurance, process paperwork and titles, as well as complete the transaction in accordance with State of Michigan laws. Other sellers may be willing to operate outside of these parameters, but we are not.

I understand the points made in your response however they are not in sync with my complaint. My complaints are as follows, 1) The salesperson Mike R. did not return my calls for days and would misplace the information i had previously provided to him. The main item in question was the lease buyout amount. I provided him the vin, registration and actual mileage three times. 2) When asking to deal with another sales person due to lack of response my inquire was send back to Mike R. 3) When I asked Mike R as to why he was unable to provide me with the total purchase price including my early lease turn in amount he became frustrated and said he was to busy. This was 4pm the night before the vehicle was scheduled to be delivered at 9am the next morning. The delivery time was set by your dealership. In response to your reply. 1) Vehicle delivery - This was a request and not a mandate. I was assured that this wasn't an issue as a vehicle was delivered to my same geographical area the previous day. The requested delivery location was to my home address what was inline with all of the previous documentation provided. I also asked if they perverted to deliver the vehicle to my local credit union so that funds could be verified as delivery. 2) Payment - I asked Mike R. how the dealership would prefer the funds. Check, Certified Check or Wire Transfer. The response was Certified Check. The funds would have been verifiable 3) Proper Identification - All identification and documentation that was requested was provided in a timely manner. After my bad experience at Michael Bates I contacted another Chevy dealership and they were able to complete the sale and deliver our new vehicle.
