For the second issue, it was returned for that repair less than TWO months after purchase on Oct 11, 2024 and not five months. I purchased the car on August 26, 2024. It was your tech's negligence per Jonathan Toth at Mercedes Benz of Charlotte and he called and told you so. You can view the video from Mercedes or call Hendricks of Charlotte and they can share the truth with you. Why would I return a car to a dealership that sold me this with two preexisting issues? Nobody in their right mind would. I'm just disappointed that your dealership would not pay for something that was caused through its negligence. I will definitely be letting my friends and family know about my car buying experience with Mich's.

We do our best to be honest and transparent when it comes to the vehicles we sell. We have been here for over 40 years and have always tried to help our customers and had you given us an opportunity to help, I guarantee you we would have. There was nothing dishonest about our business dealings with you and we did not sell you a lemon. You had purchased this Mercedes S350 Diesel in August and we were waiting on the Mercedes Dealership in Charlotte to finish an Emissions Recall on this vehicle. You ended up buying the car as soon as it came back from the Mercedes dealership. The reason the engine light came on was due to something related to the recall work Mercedes Dealer had done and there is record of this at the Mercedes dealership. We sent the car to the Mercedes dealership in Charlotte and they addressed this issue. You purchased this vehicle in August and you declined the warranty when you purchased it. After a couple months and a couple thousand miles, you took this vehicle to the dealership. The video you sent from the dealer said the car looked good and the only thing they could find was a seep from the transmission. According to your advisor, a video was sent to you on 10/14/24 a little after 10am and by 11am the same day you had already approved the work without letting us know what was going on. Afterwards you sent us a bill for your service there then threatened us with legal action if we don't pay it. You didn't even give us a chance to help. I asked Your advisor at the Mercedes Dealership if techs ever make any mistakes and his answer was - "yes, every day." The reality is that mistakes can happen, but they are willing to correct them if given the opportunity and this goes the same for us. The tape appears to be factory tape that is wrapped around the factory wiring loom which runs along the where the pan is bolted to the transmission, it has a brackets that secures the wiring loom along side the transmission pan. I asked your service advisor if he thought this car was a lemon and he said definitely not, the car was in very good shape and that was the only thing they saw. We try to be reasonable and we have always gone above and beyond to help our customers. We would have been happy to help you get any issues addressed had we known prior and given us an opportunity to get it resolved for you.
