Liars and Crooks I went there with wife and three small kids for my first car purchase, which was Kia Soul+, got there around 7:30PM, saw the car I liked and decided t I went there with wife and three small kids for my first car purchase, which was Kia Soul+, got there around 7:30PM, saw the car I liked and decided to buy. My trade-in was worth $3200 on KBB at its condition, they priced it as $1000, gave me 5.85% on a loan. My payment was going to be $400. Going back and forth verbally with finance manager, i got nowhere and was going to walk away when he said that he can reduce my payments. In new paper my trade-in was priced at $1500 and percentage was dropped to 5.35%. I signed and made a big mistake. It was too late(11:30PM), we were tired, hungry, frozen, etc., and just wanted to go home. They used every possible tactic on us, long delays, freezing cold AC, confusing terminology, lack of any snacks. "Sorry, but there is no popcorn left" is not acceptable when I'm making $20,000 purchase and have 3 hungry children under the age of 5 with me. There is no excuse, SHAME ON YOU! Next morning I realized that finance manager added extended warranty to my price(it was around $1400). SURPRISE! Also, the sticker price was around $19,000, however there was also some package that costs $1,950(something close to two grand). It was NOT service package, but some sort of membership club that was completely useless for me and my family. I ended up paying $21,000 (tax excluded) for $19,000 car. I am stuck with $370 a month now. THESE TWO EXPENSIVE PACKAGES WERE NEVER BROUGHT UP OR DISCUSSED DURING THE PROCESS OF PURCHASE. I went back and made some noise. Sales manager (Raul) said that the finance manager worked last day yesterday and he is not available and got someone else. New finance manager rewrote agreement excluding extended warranty, but did not remove "membership club". I told him that it was never discussed, bogus and completely useless to me, Raul said that it was not negotiable at this point because I bought a car already and there is nothing he can do at this point. “This car is yours now”, he said. I was given a $50 card that could be spent only at this dealership on accessories or other car stuff, also sales rep (Thomas) said that “the first oil change is free, its on us”. So few months later when I went to change oil for the first time the service advisor told me that he needs the $50 card in order for me to have free oil change. Another lie. This business is rated as C- and now I know why. It is not accredited by BBB and has unresolved complains. It is true because I experienced poor approach and lack of care by management, although the sales guy was OK. A day later I called KIA headquarters and told them what happened. They sent me $50 gift card and told me that I should be expecting a call from Miami Lakes Automall to see if they can fix the situation. NO ONE CALLED ME, and no voicemail received (giving the benefit of a doubt that someone called and it went directly to voicemail) Had I been better informed I would've walked away from such "great deal". Please, do your research first and go somewhere else for your car purchase, because you can find a better deal than Miami Lakes Automall offers you. My opinion is that they do not deserve your business. These individuals only want to charge you the top dollar possible and don't care about establishing long term relationship with their customers More
