Before finding Jeff Ricard and MetroWest Subaru in 2009, I dreaded buying a new car. I'd do my research to narrow my choice of cars and add-ons, if any, and determine what seemed to me a fair price. At the I dreaded buying a new car. I'd do my research to narrow my choice of cars and add-ons, if any, and determine what seemed to me a fair price. At the dealership--whether Honda, Toyota, or VW, to name brands we bought before Subaru--I invariably encountered high pressure tactics, a negotiation dance that usually included the sales person having to clear prices with their sales manager, and occasionally me getting up t o leave to prompt a lower price. And once the price was agreed, the finance person came after me. Jeff Ricard and MetroWest were entirely different. Most recently, in December 2023, problems with our 2010 Outback convinced me it was time for a new car to go along with our 2019 Outback. I talked with Jeff, who set me up with Ross Annenberg, another friendly, low-key, knowledgeable sales person. Feeling we didn't need another Outback, I was interested in the Forester Sport. Jeff gave me a price for one configured pretty much the way I wanted, and which I knew from on-line research rated a "great deal" from True Car and a take the deal recommendation from Edmunds. Ross then gave me the keys and let me go off on my own. After test driving the car myself, I drove it home to get my wife's opinion. She noted a few features that were important to her that the Sport lacks, for example, memory seats and dual zone air conditioning. That led us to the Forester Touring. Back at Metrowest, Jeff found a Touring elsewhere in New England in the color combination we wanted and with the extras we wanted, for example, interior and exterior auto-dimming mirrors, and without anything expensive that we really didn't want. He quoted a price that, again based on my on-line research, I knew was a good, or perhaps great, deal. He also, when I first talked to him about getting a new car, offered a generous amount in trade for our 20210 Outback. Even if I could have done very slightly better somewhere else, and I'm pretty sure I couldn't have done much better, that wouldn't begin to substitute for Jeff's and Ross's ability to make buying a car a low pressure, pleasant experience. Also, considering that this was at the end of t he year--I took delivery on December 30--and the dealership was very busy the entire week, I appreciate the fact that they didn't waste my time or make me wait around unnecessarily. This even was true of finance. I was unsure until almost the last moment whether to pay all cash or finance a small portion of the price. Jonathan Kent worked patiently and diligently with me so that, when my wife and I came to MetroWest to sign papers on December 29, everything went as on time and without a hitch. More

This review will be lengthy, but well worth reading if you are interested in purchasing or servicing a vehicle at Metrowest Subaru. I recently purchased a used 2023 (non Subaru) vehicle and had a very po you are interested in purchasing or servicing a vehicle at Metrowest Subaru. I recently purchased a used 2023 (non Subaru) vehicle and had a very positive, stress free and efficient buying process that started with Jeff Ricard and was completed with Jake McEoy. Both were professional and easy to work with. They did exactly as they promised and prepared the vehicle on schedule. One of the best experiences I have ever had purchasing a vehicle. Here is what set this dealership apart from any other dealership or to be honest "business" I have dealt with. Once I brought the vehicle home it had a substantial oil leak (potentially but I can not confirm from an oil change performed to deliver the vehicle and I am faulting no one). I called them and they immediately sent a truck to pick it up that day and were going to make the repairs. They replaced what was thought to be a defective part above the oil filter and that was when I received a call from Adam Duffy to say that it was still leaking and that he would deliver my vehicle to the OEM of the vehicle since they may be more familiar with the problem. The OEM dealer confirmed the part leaking and would order the part which could take several weeks. Adam called me to let me know but said he found a part and was having it overnighted and would deliver to the OEM dealer to replace. Yet again the part did not work and the OEM dealer confirmed it needed a larger assembly that was on national back order and could be 3+ weeks to get. Adam did a search with several satellite dealers and actually found the last part in the country and it was in Massachusetts. Adam sent someone to get the part and drive it to the OEM dealer and asked them to pull my vehicle in as soon as they can to repair it. The happened within hours and Adam arranged to have the vehicle delivered to me at 8:30 on a Friday night. I have simplified this process, but the point here is Adam and the support of his management team went beyond any customer service I have received any where in the past. I received continued updates from Adam every step of the way, even when it was bad news. He even called me 4-5 times during his day off to provide updates. You never know how good a business is until you have issues. This is where most fall off. I can again state this team was five stars all the way and I have to say Adam Duffy was hands down the best I have dealt with in terms of customer service, anywhere...period. Thank you Jeff, Jake, Adam and the entire management staff. I have told this story at least a dozen times already and will make sure to direct as many people I know to your dealership. More
